A dog who learns how to make good decisions is a safer dog, a happier dog and more enjoyable dog. At Club Canine, home to the Thinking Dog training system, we feel that having an enjoyable and trustworthy dog is no longer optional in today’s society, it’s a MUST.
As innovators in the world of dog training, our standards and system are not more than what's needed, just more than your used to. Your dogs safety and your quality of life are worth it. What good is dog training if it fails to teach your companion how to keep himself safe and alive in a real world situation? Max should understand that not jumping on people is not an option, even when your not around. This is basic training, when raising a thinking dog. What about when he’s headed for a busy street? Don't we want perfection in him stopping himself and returning when he reaches the curb or the FIRST time his name is called? He may not get a second chance.
Don't let you and your dog become someones training experiment. Educating and training you and your dog through over 60 years of our family experience and proven system, will teach you and your dog how to become a successful working team. Don't waste time or money. We succeed where conventional “pet dog training” approaches have failed both in the past. NO bribes, gimmicks or gadgets here. NO submissive or dominated dogs either. Just fair and balanced leadership resulting in a confident, respected and trusting relationship.
Teaching clear communication for real world reliability and providing you and your dog with a true standard to a BASIC OBEDIENCE program is what we deliver. Don’t be mislead, not all “basic” obedience programs are created equal. The basics are the foundation for your relationship with your dog. If the basics are poor, so is the reliability and cooperative nature of the animal as well as any training attempts that follow.
Club Canine is not just your basic training facility for people who want to do a few commands and never think about "training" again. However, it IS for anyone seeking to build a healthy, confident relationship with their dog(s). Over the past 7 months we have seen our dog go from immature and impulsive to confident and enjoyable to be around. He's always been cute :), but he frequently peed when meeting new people, did not listen, and was insecure in social settings. Our dog can do so much more than we thought possible and so can I with the skills we've both gained by training with Club Canine! I would also like to note that during our 7 months of training, boarding, and daycare times at Club Canine I have seen dogs of all ages from a large variety of backgrounds make the same tremendous progress that we've seen develop with our dog, George. I love that young and old dogs can learn new tricks at Club Canine! More...

Aurora is gaining confidence every day. I see so much improvement in both of us. Pack Social is a great place for a Rottie to hang with big (& small) dogs!
Best practices proven to work! Seeing is believing.
Things are going so well with Bella! We started training back in November (I believe) where I couldn't control Bella in any situation. Now, here we are just a few months later and I can take her out on a leash to various parks and she stays right next to me despite a gang of squirrels having a party in a tree and various dogs running around. I even took her into Natural Pawz today and she did great! I'm very proud of us! More...
I have to say it has been an exceptional experience. I tried 2 other trainers that were not at all helpful, prior to finding Club Canine. The trainer, Dean Miller, has gone beyond my expectations. He took the time to come to my house for the initial evaluation of my 2 collies and even went out of the way to pick them up when I was not able to take them to the club. In just a short few weeks, my dog has made dramatic advances. The Canine Club also offers a day camp and both my dogs are attending. They take the time and make the effort to truly challenge the dogs both mentally and physically. I recommend to anyone who is interested in dog care, training, boarding, etc. More...
