One of the best bakeries anywhere. What I like most is that they cook with butter instead of cheap oils like canola or soy oil, both of which are way too common in baked goods these days. This place is amazing. The vanilla bean scones are one of the best things I've ever eaten. In addition, I just got some gluten free scones for my daughter, who loved them. Pricey but worth it!

The only place I find worth waiting an hour in line during peak hours in the summertime. This place is hands down the BEST pastry shop in New Jersey. Fresh treats so good you'll wanna slap ya motha. Personal recommendations are the key lime pie, lemon poppy scone, blueberry scone. The double chocolate chunk cookies are A+. The way they lay out all the treats in front of you is very enticing. Oh my GOD. I haven't had a crumb cake this good since I moved from Brooklyn, NY 30 years ago. Lords bakery was the standard for me. The Scone Pony is right there with them. If you ever find yourself in Spring Lake, you must stop by at The Scone Pony. No matter the time of day, there never fails to be a line out the door Although it is often busy, it is well worth the wait. My go to order is a blend of chocolate chip, cinnamon crunch, and blueberry scones. Each scone is fresh, delicious, and mouthwatering. The missing star in my review stems from the efficiency of the staff. While scones and pastries are constantly rolling out of the oven, the staff is capable of catering to customers quicker. While I know they are trying their best, I believe there are ways that can cut down the wait to eat one of the Scone Pony's decadent treats. More...

Went to check out the Scone Pony last week as I was given a cake from there and it was unbelievable. Wanted to have an assortment of desserts for a party I was having. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place is absolutely charming and intimate. I loved seeing the bakers busy at work and how clean everything was. We ordered an assortment of scones. They were beyond delicious. I could eat them every morning. The cupcakes were to die for and the cookies were gone within 15 minutes of me serving the dessert. I will definitely be back again. Wanted to try the “famous” Jameson scone but they had run out. Piece of advice...get there early so you don’t miss out on them! Check this place out. I will be back for sure. More...
