Hotel mit Charme, allerdings lässt der Service an einigen Stellen zu wünschen übrig. Aber zusammengefasst ein gutes vier Sterne Haus.

Oh! This hotel is a trip on itself. Location couldn’t be more perfect. Just walking distance from the French Quarter. Decorated as a New Orleáns place should look like, old, but very well kept, flashy decorations, large chandeliers, and very comfortable beds. Concierge offers flyers, coupons, and recommendations for everyone for visits, tours, restaurants and how to get to places. More...

12282019, A 3 star from me is not good/not bad: Overall, a pleasantly stress-free and enjoyable experience. I'd certainly come back having accumulated familiarity. Arrived on Christmas day for a few days of escapism. One should know that main entrance hallway is famously decorated and looks best at 1am after the throngs of people who need to have their picture taken for their social media stream clog the area have retired to sleep. It really does look fantastic.Service staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to the typical minor service needs. A hotel of this size is an incredibly complicated environment made more difficult by inconsiderate guests who might think that any flat surface is a refuse container set up for them. Picking up after these tiresome people is a constant endeavor but one that the staff stalwartly accomplishes. I didn't sample the spa's services because it's not my relaxation preference. However, I was able to locate the workout facility. Think getting to the stadium stage scene in Spinal Tap. Fun. It has a thoughtful collection of treadmills, stationary bike, weights, and balls of various sizes, weights, & psi. At popular times, there could be a bit more air circulation. There's plenty of water and fruit snacks to keep you focused on maintaining your gains or working off yesterday's gumbo sampler. And, for the narcissist, mirrors. The actual hotel room was technologically modern yet in keeping with the classical design of the building. Two minor bathroom related items: 1. I'm not huge and I'm not small, but the showers are a bit narrow. 2. The bathroom door was not hung plum, and for all you non-carpenter types out there, this means the door would not stay open. It needed to be propped open. Hmmm. Room 10708 incidentally. Having pointed out those two small items, the bathrooms were clean, and the multi-head shower was satisfying. Home bathroom remodeling planning has begun. Oh, at times and to me, the floor hallways had a slight cedar or tack leather scent. If that's your thing, then there you go. The upper floor building halls and rooms were mostly library quiet. Appreciated. I witnessed but did not utilize the pool area. You would be able to soak after sunning and possibly(certainly) get splashed by the feral kids of less attentive parents getting their electric device fix. Forget about training for an Olympic swimming event though. That ain't happening. The in-building cafes and restaurants were capable and thoughtful. Hope this helped plan your visit. More...

This is a historic hotel and beautiful! We stayed over night with a group of friends for the Christmas holidays and had dinner at Domenica Restaurant. Our room was very large and nice with a sitting area. We had breakfast at Teddy's Cafe and it was very good. We tried to get drinks at the Sazerac Bar but it was very crowded with locals meeting for after work/dinner drinks and this was at 10:00pm. There were a lot of people there taking pictures in the lobby because it's decorated for the Christmas time. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to do it again next Christmas. More...

If you want to experience luxurious Southern hospitality suggest stay at the historical Roosevelt New Orleans Waldorf Astoria. This landmark hotel is a located right off Canal Street and is a short walk to the French Quarter. It is also close to many of New Orleans places to enjoy the nightlife, dining and culture of The Big Easy. Located in the Roosevelt is the famous Sazerac Bar and Domenica Restaurant. They also have other bars and restaurants on the property. So many options to choose. A special time to visit the Roosevelt is during the holidays when the lobby is decorated for Christmas. This is a must thing to do for many locals and those from out of town. This is an annual event for many. Suggest you do so also. More...

We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and decided a weekend in NOLA was the way to go. Fantastic stay. Laura checked us in and made sure we were ok. It was the Saturday before Christmas and the main hall was filled with guests and tourist taking photos. It was a bit crowded but very much expected due to the Christmas decorations. The room was very clean. They hung our robes, set water on the nightstand, laid out the slippers, and filled our ice bucket. They exceeded my expectations. I will be returning. More...
