The New Ivy League

Daniel DJ'd my wedding in the beginning of December and absolutely killed it! We still to this day have people telling us that he was the best DJ at any wedding they had ever been too! Right from the start Daniel treated my fiancé and I like he had known us his whole life, when in reality we had never met him before, going as far as meeting with us on his actual birthday. He was so involved, wanting to help as much as he could! At our wedding he went above and beyond what any DJ would ever do! He picked up major slack, where other people dropped the ball, he was there in a blink of an eye to pour champagne, to move gifts, and direct others: anything that was needed make sure our day was perfect! He was so fun and really involved with the crowd, organizing a spontaneous crowd surfing of the groom, to having me sing my favorite song into the microphone! I will always recommend Daniel as a DJ for weddings! He truly did make our day perfect! More...

I have attended 2 weddings that Daniel has DJ'd and both were great! Daniel arrives early to make sure he knows what he has to deal with and gets the job done. He even drove up to San Jose to DJ for one of my closest friends!! That's commitment! He plays not only music the bride/groom ask for but he knows the crowd pleasers that will get the crowd moving. Daniel happily takes requests and has the equipment to allow speeches/toasts, introductions to run smoothly. This review is WAY over due. But in July of 2016, Daniel Botticelli DJ'd my wedding and it was LIT. I never use that word, but it was just awesome. He was on time, he was set-up and ready for the day way before the event even started. And he has an incredible attitude and is just so ready to please the audience and create a fun and celebratory atmosphere. And maybe I'm being biased because it was my wedding, BUT i have NEVER seen so many people on the dance floor! This was the best DJ I've ever seen at any event! And it made it so special that he was at my wedding. Not only was he playing music that everyone enjoyed, but he did it in such a fun way which made everyone comfortable to get up and dance. The New Ivy League will be what your guest will talk about and remember your wedding by. (Other than the beautiful bride of course) If you want your guest to talk about how fun your wedding was for years to come, you gotta make sure to have The New Ivy League. Not only has Daniel B. been a long time friend friend to my wife and I (from my Olive Garden days; shout out OG!!), but he was the clear choice to tie our lives together *He played Officiant AND DJ* He has the gift to connect and find the beauty in all things and people he comes across. He is the fun time in a shot glass, a lover of music, world traveler, and a well balanced dude. To be succinct; he brings his own party wherever he goes with random people he'd never call strangers. Not only is he dependable, honest and friendly, but a great believer in love and humanity. Love you Dan.

One of my favorite weddings I have ever been a part of and even attended was my friend Alex and Lauren's in downtown Chicago on New Years Eve. I played and directed music with a full band in a beautiful historic Chicago cathedral for their ceremony and The New Ivy League DJ'ed their reception in an amazing renovated warehouse loft building in the arts district.

The New Ivy League had people on the dance floor non-stop, kids, adults even the grandparents. Daniel has a really warm and inviting charisma and personality and really engages people when he is MCing and kept a great flow for the reception dinner leading into the dancing and festivities and the dance floor was packed as soon as dinner ended all the way up to and through the NYE countdown. It was such an epic way to celebrate their marriage and ring in the new year!

They also hired The New Ivy League to do their San Diego reception for their SD friends and community (their families are from Chicago but they met and live in San Diego) and let me tell you lightning struck twice. The New Ivy League brought a really great energy and vibe and kept everyone engaged and dancing and laughing for hours and hours and hours and made for another memorable evening. More...

Daniel was not only an amazing DJ, but he also stepped in and offered to help with whatever needed to be done for my wedding. Our wedding was everything and more than anticipated. Daniel kept the atmosphere light and inviting for our family and friends! Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a DJ!

I can honestly say that this is the best DJ I have ever seen. I have been to several weddings where the new Ivy League was the dj and new i wanted them to Dj my wedding. So when I got married a couple days ago there was no one else I knew who would do a better job. Daniel exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond and not only playing the best music, announcing everything taking place at the wedding, and hyping up the crowd on the dance floor but he genuinely cares that his clients are well taken care of before and after the event.
