After encountering the Makery at a bridal show, I knew they were the bakery for me. They had so many fun and nerdy designs in their portfolio, but also some beautiful and classic designs. They met both of those styles in my cake, with a more traditional style of tiered cake and some pretty swirling, but also included the Ravenclaw Crest for our Ravenclaw wedding. We recently ordered a vegan wedding cake through The Makery Cake Company. Our daughter couldn't have been more pleased! At our initial consultation, Dez worked with us to make the shape, cake flavors and fondant for the perfect end product. She even replicated the lace of the wedding dress in the cake flowers. The Makery did an amazing job on my wedding cake. They sat down with me and my husband and went over all the details of my wedding cake. They touched based with me a month before the wedding to see if there were any changes they needed to make and they were very helpful with all of my questions. The only complaint I have is that I wish I still had cake to eat, 3 weeks later! It was so good! We did a naked funfetti cake, nothing crazy, nothing over the top and it was absolutely incredible! Everyone is still raving about it! It looked exactly like the picture I showed them, and was even better in person! My parents ended up with the rest of the cake, and my husband and I went home with a "honeymoon cake!" All for us! We finished the whole thing that night! We ordered a cutting cake and cupcakes from this bakery for our wedding, let me tell you... those cupcakes were gone within minutes. Everyone was raving about them all night! We sadly only got a taste of our wedding cake, as the bride and groom rarely get to eat much! But they are so amazing and include a honeymoon cake to take back to the hotel afterwards, it was sooo amazing! The design on our cutting cake was also beautiful and exactly what we wanted! I've ordered two cakes from here, last year and the year before, and both were absolutely amazing!  It's about that time to order again!  We normally do three tier, with three different flavors and fillings.  This is some next level, "Cake Boss" type of bakery, I swear!!  These are the BEST looking AND tasting cakes I have yet to encounter and, believe me, I have searched high and low!  I am beyond thrilled to have found The Makery!  Not only are the cakes delish and beautiful, but the staff is always friendly and accommodating.  They take all your ideas, wants and desires and literally create a piece of art!  Not only this, but the owner, Dez, is A-MAZING!  She goes out of her way to reply to her clients, she goes above and beyond to make it happen for you and she genuinely cares, not only about her business, but about her customers!  I've had the pleasure of meeting an empathic, dedicated businesswoman and I will continue to purchase cakes from her establishment. Our wedding cake was an absolute hit. I know, so often, people choose to do a dessert table for their wedding due to cost efficiency; however, I am so glad we chose to have a cake.
