Choosing The Homestead at Rest and Be Thankful Farm as our venue for our wedding was the best decision we could have made. When we first visited the venue, we knew that it would be the perfect location for our outdoor wedding. Honestly, we knew that we wouldn't have to go overboard with decorations because the farm is a beautiful back drop. Between the woods, the gardens and the barn, it offered a little bit of everything. George and Michele were great to work with, as was our day of coordinator Sharon. They offer great advice as to what works and what doesn't, and what things we should avoid in order to make sure the day goes smoothly. It really made a difference having their help during the whole planning process. When the wedding day arrived they were incredibly helpful and present. They made sure everything went smoothly and tried to ensure our day was as stress free as possible. They truly made me feel comfortable and that my wedding day really was a special day. Our guests couldn't say enough positive things about the venue either. Also, there are horses...need I say more? More...

I was the best man at the Webber-Fryer wedding a couple weeks ago. I remember having a discussion with the groomsmen about how wonderful the venue was. If you are looking for a fun and beautiful wedding venue look no further! More...

I attended The Webber-Fryer at The Homestead at the end of August and found it delightful. For those interested in a “barn”, “farm” or “in nature” based event, this is a terrific choice (horses were in the paddock, a fun diversion for many! ). The ceremony was held in front of some lovely pines under a simple wedding arch of birch limbs, and the reception under a well-lit big tent about 100 yards away (with a concrete pad- so no “shoe worries”!). Decorations were simple and beautifully done, the weather perfect and the Cheney’s accommodating. One nice touch is that the bride and bridesmaids have a sizable private dressing room with bathroom. A great event at a wonderful spot! More...

I was the groom at a recent wedding at the Homestead, and both the venue and George & Michele were excellent from start to finish. Since the event we have had multiple people tell us how much fun they had and how it was like nothing they'd ever been to before. Thank you George and Michele for helping us create a wonderful unique experience More...

“My wedding at The Homestead was an out of state wedding for us. The Homestead staff made it so easy to plan even though we were miles away. The vendors they suggested could not have been better. Each one was extremely professional and made the day absolutely perfect.” More...
