Excellent youth sports training. Nick has been totally flexible with our schedule and tailored every aspect of my daughter’s training to her ability, potential and sports specific goals. I’ve been in and out of gyms just trying to find where I fit in. Finally, after a years of searching I found the Grind. I enjoy going to the Grind for every session I have. The staff is amazing and really do care about helping others. Nick Niehaus, my personal one on one trainer, has helped me grow both physically and mentally. He has been persistent on pushing me to be my best and literally my biggest hype man every time we workout. He’s a joy to work! He and everyone on staff at the Grind have made me feel welcomed, always smile and say hello when I come in for session. Makes me feel welcomed and I appreciate that. I highly recommend The Grind. I cannot say enough good things about my experience training at The Grind. I had really fallen off making fitness a priority in my life, and knew I needed to make a change. I am so happy I decided to get back on track at The Grind. Chico pushes me, challenges me, and holds me accountable during our sessions. I know every time I leave the gym I have had the best workout and am one step closer to where I want to be. Their facility is top notch and their entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The 7th grade Jr. Warriors had an amazing time working with the trainers at The Grind and my son loves participating in the Youth Athlete training classes. I have been working out at The Grind for several months now and I absolutely love coming here. The workouts are hard and challenging but fun also. My 17yr old daughter has been working out the past 2 months with Brittney Krodinger . It has been awesome having a former D1 softball player train her. Everyone hears of the notorious conditioning test athletes have to go through once they get to college. Who better to prepare my daughter (who in the fall will be heading to college to play softball) for that then someone who has been there and knows what college coaches expect of you? My daughter has done workouts over the years and is usually playing softball year round, yet she now comes home after workouts with sore muscles she never even knew she had. Even after getting her butt kicked in workouts, she comes home happy talking about how great Brittney is and how relatable she is. Three months ago I started going to The Grind and working one on one with Dean. I always put working out on the back burner due to working two jobs and telling myself that I wasn’t going to be able to do the things asked of me because of my back/hip problems. I finally convinced myself that my health was more important than those excuses. Today, I have more energy than I have had in a long time and have so much more confidence in myself. The trainers at The Grind make it a point to make you feel comfortable, they want to see you succeed, and feel better about yourself. The only thing I regret is not joining sooner!! More...

I have been doing the Facebook workouts that are offered live because the gym I am a member of did not have consistent virtual workouts; however, I do the replay. I have worked out with three different coaches (about 3 times a week) and have been pleased each time. Each move is fully explained and demonstrated, and often the coach explains the benefits of the moves. There isn't a lot of time between each exercise, which I appreciate as it helps me burn more calories. They also stress the importance of stretching, warmup and cool down, and staying hydrated. I am excited to try this gym out in person when they open the Festus location. I am hopeful that there will be small group classes scheduled at the same time as my daughter's cheer classes:) More...

My son, Carter, loves training at The Grind with Coach Joe for strength and conditioning, and also to improve his football skills. He never wants to miss a session and really enjoys his time in the gym. My son, Brennan, trains with Coach Brittney K. She is so good at encouraging him and helping him gain confidence in himself. The entire staff knows everyone on a first name basis, and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. They are all very friendly, safe, and fun! I signed up our 15U travel baseball team for their weight training program. I will say dam, did the kids not only get stronger, but they also have a better attitude towards life and sports they also learned so much more than they expected. I want to personally say thank you to the Grind office manager Ashley, their trainers Josh, Brittany & Chico with out you guys this wouldnt have been possible. thank you very much. My son, Johnny Schmidt, currently trains with Joe Lasky of The Grind. I am very impressed with the physical and mental training he and the rest of The Grind team has provided my son. I trained at The Grind for about 10 months with Joe Lasky. Joe helped me meet my fitness goals for my wedding and in the first 3 months I lost almost 20 pounds. Joe was great and communicated well. He helped me with diet/nutrition advice and with plans for home exercises to continue what we worked on in the gym as well as working on areas I had injured to get them back to full strength.I play hockey and Joe took that into account and had a plan around building areas of strength that helped my skating and balance.I can also say that all the trainers at The Grind are fantastic people who were always helpful and nice. Not just your typical and boring dumbell/weightlifting workout. I've trained at different places and this is by far the best! Great facility. Tons of equipment. Chico Orlando is our trainer. He does a great job of mixing up workouts, challenging your body's balance and endurance even when we're focusing on a few specific muscle groups. I go twice a week. It's fun and I really look forward to it! 100% recommend The Grind More...

My daughter started at The Grind in April of this year after having surgery on her knee for a lateral meniscus tear. It has been absolutely the best for her overall strength and conditioning. Before she started, her quads and muscle tone had diminished from not being able to play sports for 8 months and her knee was tight when walking. From day one Chico (and Dean & Brittany) not only did great workouts and conditioning with her but also spoke to her about what they were going to be doing with her workout wise, why they were doing these workouts, what muscles they wanted to hit, and what to expect. Chico has worked around her heavy softball travel schedule, practice schedule, batting schedule, and pitching schedule and has made things work every time. Its been nothing short of an amazing experience since becoming a part of the The Grind Fitness. My daughter started working out at the Grind a year ago with her best friend just to get in shape for softball. She had been dealing with a shoulder injury for years that would come and go. When Dean found out about this injury he personally worked with her physical therapist to keep her therapy continuous, and it helped tremendously. After insurance quit paying for PT, she continued 2 - 3 days a week with the Grind and within 2 weeks she was finally pain free. She continues to see Dean and the rest of the Grind personal trainers 2 days a week and once a week with her team. The trainers all take the time to know my kids strengths and weaknesses. I would recommend The Grind for any personal training needs, whether it's recovery from an injury or just getting in shape, they are the BEST! Oh, and my kid has FUN while working out...that says a lot about the staff!!! More...
