The English Garden Florist of Raleigh

We could not have been happier with our experience with English Gardens. Even from our first meeting to map out our tastes, the process was amazingly easy.

When we met with the team, they did not expect us to know exactly what we wanted and were more than happy to show us options and get our feedback.

We simply described our colors and showed them a few samples from some decor we had chosen. They were instantly able to pull up samples that perfectly matched what we were looking for.

Once we explained the look we were going for, they were also able to recommend how best to lay out the flowers and how many to buy to achieve what we wanted.

We had a custom alter and used our own vintage vases for the reception tables and instead of pressuring us to purchase more from them, they were over the top excited to get to design their arrangements around something new.

We even go to walk away with a small vase of some recommended flower choices!

The contract process was also a breeze. They were responsive and happy to work with any budget as well as adjust the contract to ensure we were happy with what we were getting. The team was very reasonable and continually made us feel excited about our big day with their own excitement at the role they were playing.

On our wedding day, they delivered the bride/bridesmaid flowers and groom/groomsmen flowers to each location even though the locations were not the same nor located at the venue.

All were pristinely preserved and ready upon arrival. They were fresh and bright with no damage at all that you can sometimes find in large deliveries.

At the ceremony, they set up our alter and cocktail hour with minimal instruction and it looked perfect. They even brought a couple of vases form the shop just incase they needed them to fill in space to ensure the quality of their work.

They assisted in the flip from ceremony to reception and did an amazing job. Prior to the reception, the team came over to say hello and see if everything was to our liking. They genuinely care about the quality of their work and that everyone is satisfied.

Guests were all extremely impressed and we even had several of our friends ask who we used so that they could use them for their weddings as well.

We would 100% recommend the English Garden team for any event. We never felt stressed at all and they made feel very taken care of from beginning to end. I would use them again in a heartbeat. More...

I'm late in writing this but I wanted to share that I was really please with the service I received from English Garden. The flowers were really great. I ordered flowers a few weeks ago and had missed including part of the address for the delivery and the staff figured it out. I got really nice, professional emails from Morgan letting me know that the address was incomplete and that they had figured things out. I was sending the flowers for a surprise to a vendor friend and they arrived really looking great and exactly like what I had ordered online. What an amazing place!! My boss called me first thing in the morning with a flower arrangement emergency!! (it is a thing) I literally arrived to the English Garden so early I interrupted their morning meeting; Morgan didn’t make me feel bad about it at all. I threw around some colors, told them it had to be big, gave them my budget, and had the nerve to tell them I needed it in 40mins. Let me share my story about my experience with this wonderful company. My Uncle passed away faster than we had thought and I was on a time crunch to order some flowers. I had called once and was informed that they would be closed on the day I needed the delivery and was very sweet and apologized for my loss. Now what I haven't explained what type of arrangement I was truly hoping to get on such short notice. You see my Uncle was a BIG NC State fan and I was hoping to incorporate something NC State in the flowers. After being disappointed that they would be closed I moved on to another florist who was less than impressed with my Hope's of such an arrangement and seemed ledd likely to help me but being a Saturday most shops were closed or closing so I told her I needed to call her back to decide on what to do. When I went to call her back I dialed The English Garden back by mistake. This time the owner answered, I began to apologize for my mistake when she asked what is was that I needed. I explained everything in detail and told her that I understood she would not be available due to a prior engagement she was required to be at on the day I needed. She then asked for my number and within a few minutes was calling me back and explaining to me that she herself would come in early before going out of town and make the arrangement and also include everything I needed but one of her delivery drivers also stepped up and would deliver them on his day off. When I arrived at the funeral home I saw the most elegant, beautiful arrangement of flowers (with a Wolfpack theme) I have ever seen. I am so impressed with this company that I hope everyone uses them. They are a company that obviously goes out of their way to help those who are grieving and make them a priority. Beautiful art through flowers! Great experience. Cydney took the time to really understand my vision for the wedding day, the theme for the event and to get a feel for my preferences in flowers/greenery. I was the first to admit going in that I do not have good vision for art and decor so while I had a general idea of colors and flowers, I was very willing to turn over details to their creative geniuses and they did a fabulous job! Everything from the bouquet to the cocktail hour to the reception venue, was stunning. They have worked at my venue many times before and from what I saw in pictures, everything looked amazing every time. As a professional Wedding Planner, I have had the luxury of working with many florists during my career but when it was time for me to tie the knot, I knew I wanted Sydney and her team at English Garden to take care of all the flowers for my day. Flowers are one of my favorite design elements on a wedding day so I had pretty high expectations, the EG team did not disappoint. I showed them just a few pictures of what I was thinking and gave them the overall color scheme for my wedding. From there, I gave total creative freedom to EG and I am so glad I did! On my wedding day, I was floored with how beautiful the flowers were!!!! Sydney and her team went above and beyond adding special touches to the whole venue and their flowers balanced perfectly with the rest of my decor and the natural beauty of the venue I chose (Forest Hall at Chatham Mills - definitely check them out as well!!!) Last week I received the most astonishingly beautiful arrangement: hydrangea held the center, and from there sprung blue hobbit thistle, red ranunculus, roses, delphinia, blushing bride protea, love-in-a-mist pods, and several other species I cannot name. Beautiful beyond compare. That's how I would summarize all of the floral arrangements we received from the English Garden for our wedding.

When we met with the English Garden to discuss what we wanted for floral decorations for our wedding, they were incredibly meticulous in asking us all the important questions needed to make sure we were all on the same page. They thought of everything, which was a great help for us as it made us think of things that we had previously overlooked. Everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable, especially when making suggestions about the best arrangement styles, displays, flowers, and greenery that would work best with our table arrangements, venue size, budget, and overall theme and design that we were looking for. After showing them some photos of the color palette and style that we were looking for, they even made us a little sample vase on the spot! It was really helpful to see what we had envisioned and assured us that the final product would be absolutely perfect. And it was!

The proposal and quote they provided us was impeccably detailed. It noted every itemized cost for everything that we needed, such as number of boutonnieres, bouquets, flower girl basket, etc. It even included a full description of the color palette and flowers to be used for each item as well as images of the flowers and greenery that would be used in the bride's bouquet and throughout. It was really nice to know everything we were getting and to see that they had put in so much thought and effort. They were also incredibly accommodating in helping us make some adjustments to the proposal so that our wedding budget stayed on track.

All of the arrangements that we received on the day were absolutely gorgeous! The bridal bouquet was stunning and exactly what I was hoping for and more. All of the table arrangements, bridesmaid bouquets, and boutonnieres were also equally beautiful and wonderfully cohesive together. You could really see the time, energy, and passion they put in getting everything together and set up just right. Perfection! I send flowers to a dear friend in Durham every few months. I discovered The English Garden last year after trying several other florists. They sent a poinsettia during the holidays that was lush and spectacular looking and yesterday they created an arrangement of yellow roses, zenas, petite white roses, snapdragons and several other flowers with greenery and filler that was exactly what I requested. They did a wonderful job especially with customer service. The frist flowers they delivered we not what I really wanted. it was almost 6 PM on Friday and they were working late for a big wedding the next day. They were able to redo another beautiful flower arrangement and get it delivered to my granddaughter for an extra special surprise for her.
