My wife and I got married at the cottages last July. The moment my mother in law showed us the cottages, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. Everything was perfect! The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The views are out of this world. The amenities were more than we could have asked for. We rented 2 cottages for my family to stay in and 1 for my wife and I. Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was a dream! If you’re even considering The Cottages, don’t think twice about it! Absolutely gorgeous location! The accomadations are luxurious yet homey! The staff is friendly and professional! Tons of amenities are available from day spa services, groceries and baby supplies delivered pre arrival, personal chefs,etc. I love the pool area! They are also close to restaurants, tourist attractions, a marina and downtown is only a short water taxi ride away! What an amazing oasis in Charleston. Close to everything yet tucked away from the crowd of tourists and traffic. We rented 3 of the cottages #1,2,3. ..you won't believe the amenities, the service, the gift of waterside harbor stay with views of Charleston, Castle Pinckney, and Fort Sumpter from each cottage we stayed in. Broad screen porches, swimming pool, nearby tourist activities. Just perfect for wedding planning or long weekend...any time of year. We were in Charleston for our daughter's wedding. Perfect! They don't mention but they do have an ADA no stairs cottage so don't fear but plan ahead. More...

This was our first time to stay here and we were so pleased. The cottage was great and the views were awesome. My favorite part of the cottage was the screened porch. The staff was extremely helpful. Wonderful stay from the moment I walked in the door. The cottage itself was beautiful! Very open living space, nice clean kitchen with anything you could need, three bathrooms with all the amenities. I stayed with my children, they had a wonderful time playing off the porch which was right near the water. TVs in every room, CDs available for your viewing entertainment, a nice Bose sound system where we had Christmas music playing. We were able to cook snacks and dinner easily. Coffee was right there for us in the morning. A yummy breakfast was also available in the clubhouse. I'm already planning a trip to come back for my birthday in the spring! More...

Color me pink- outstanding customer service! The washing machine in our cottage is not working properly and I had a ton of clothes to wash. (Our son has been at camp all week!) The staff washed it all- wow! Now that's taking customer service to a whole new level. The cottage is perfect- great floor plan with tasteful furniture and well equipped kitchen. The price was a little high here but well worth it! The view from inside the cottages was great. We actually stayed in two of the cabins because we decided to stay an extra couple of nights. The first cabin sort of viewed the harbor itself and we could see the suspended bridge while the second cabin mostly just viewed out to sea. The back yards were a little over grown and getting to the water was not an easy task but hardly a hinder. These were geared more for older people (21+) with the style of the cottages. They were very old fashioned but had updated furnishings and look fantastic inside and out! They did have a pool to accommodate children. I would like to say they were very quiet during the night but you're basically right on the water and you can hear the sea breeze very well. And the air conditioners ran most of the night and depending on which cottage you're in, they are right beside the walls. But this was hardly a bad thing. Nights were really actually cool enough in July to just leave the back doors open and enjoy the ambience. So if you're one to want absolute silence at night, and that type of noise could possibly keep you awake, don't choose this place and then give it a bad review. The breakfast served in the morning was delicious and I believe they keep fresh baked cookies out all day. Staff were all very nice and made sure we enjoyed all of our stay. Personally would recommend this place to anyone who asked me where to stay in Charleston. Five stars for sure but 9/10 because the price was a bit high, but again... It was well worth it in my honest opinion. Thanks for reading! More...

What an incredible time! Enjoyed the cottage as much as the city itself and found ourselves wanting to stay pretty close to home! Right next to Shem Creek and a Harris Teeter, if you want to stay in. Away from the tourist feel of downtown Charleston and a 5 minute walk to the Water Taxi which can take you right to the best of Charleston, aquarium, etc. Staying here was a real treat...looking forward to coming back!
