Love coming here for the brunch buffet. Such a good price for bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, coffee and all you can eat breakfast and some hot foods (pastas, carving station, and baked goods). They're always accommodating here, even with a party of 12 for brunch at the last minute (few days notice, lack of planning on my part, oops!). The only qualm would be the seating arrangement for my large party, but that was kind of my fault, so I wouldn't consider that something to go off of. The Cornerstone offers a fantastic atmosphere and an easy to reach location. I ate with friends there last night and from the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by a very pleasant host who greeted us immediately and promptly seated us in the upper area of the restaurant. Once seated our waitress came right over to the table to take our drink order which was brought to us expediently and accurately. As the table was engaged in conversation the waitress gave us time to look over the menus and decide on our order, in fact she had to stop back more than once as we ordered appetizers before our meal to give us more time to decide, all the while she was pleasant and professional. Once we started ordering the waitress offered suggestions to those in our party who could not quite make up their mind which sped everything along. We ordered mozzarella sticks and Spinach dip for appetizers which were both very good.It was Taco Tuesday so I got the tacos which are an excellent value for $9, and I can’t recommend their seafood Bisque enough as it is the best I have had in NJ. It was just creamy enough with some good chunks of seafood and had delightful flavor. My Fiancé ordered their skirt steak which I have to say tasted better than much higher priced cuts of meat I have had elsewhere. A member of our group showed up late and his food came out exactly how we wanted it and weWere able to pull up another chair without delay. This is definitely the type of establishment I want to come back to as both service and food was excellent and a fairly good value for the money. People always say that this place or that place has the best wings, but the Cornerstone really does. I dream about these wings. This is a large, lively restaurant and bar that has something for everyone. From the centrally placed fireplace, to the back dining room with a bunch of TVs playing various sports, to live music, etc. The menu has something for everyone. I have grown up down the road from The Cornerstone and NEVER KNEW they have such a GREAT private room for a Bridal Shower. I have only been to Cornerstone a few times. It’s casual and has a bar both upstairs and downstairs. On the weekends that have the DJ and lights for dancing etc. it can get crowded at times but it’s still fun. The drinks are good. They were not too sweet like some bars make them. Food is really good. It was my first time here with a couple of girlfriends. Our server was Paige, she was very attentive and catered to our indecisiveness. We took a long time to order and she was patient with us. We wound up ordering an appetizer combo, fried mac and cheese and a pizza. Their pizza was really good. I also LOVED their chicken fingers in the combo. They're not normal small ones, they taste like they're homemade and battered in store and are HUGE. Like YUGE HUGE. The food was a tad on the expensive side, but I would come back because of the quality.Drinks were good too. They were not watered down and had plenty of liqour. The liqour was fairly priced too. I was surprised that two shots of mid grade tequila was only 6 dollars each. In other bars and restaurant I have been too, it is normally much more expensive. I noticed that they have different themed nights, such as wing night or DJ night. This was nice to see. The one downside: parking is terrible. There is only street parking, or you have to park at the train station down the street and walk. Location is the only reason why this place lost a star. Otherwise, you wouldn't be disappointed. Cornerstone is legitimately THE bar to go for a weekend pick up or a one-night-stand. There are ALWAYS good/decent prospects for men or women here. Basement doesn't open until later on at night and even when the basement is open, older groups hang out or stick to the upstairs where the wilder and younger crowd head downstairs. During the day, the food is actually REALLY good and the location is easily accessible at all times for parking. Drinks are reasonably priced so you won't spend a fortune on a few drinks. Somewhat sleazy but still a great spot, only problem worth docking a star in the rating is that it's almost always the same crowd, so piss a girl off this weekend, you'll run into her again the next. PROS: this restaurant is definitely a lit place to go during the nightlife. There are two bars and plenty of places to sit. They have a live DJ during the weekends and several events. The menu had a good amount to choose from for a place open till 3am. The staff was very nice and helpful as well.Cons: Parking is very limited and the place gets cramped when everybody is dancing to the music. First off the inside the building is beautiful. I had no idea when I walled in I was in for such a rare find. The rounded walls, the old bar and wrought iron railings were impressive. Even the restroom was unique. Our waiter was quick, knowledgeable and took our orders without writing them down. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and he knew who ordered what and checked back a couple of times. Definitely service the way service should be. I got there pretty late on a Sunday night, so I can't comment on the dining experience but as soon as I walked into this establishment, my inner interior designer was very pleased with the aesthetics.
