I met the most awesome lady, owner of the Chocolate Spectrum, who started this business as a way to give her autistic son a place to work. She now employs about 18 autistic young adults who do everything from making the chocolate to waiting on customers. The chocolate truffles are delicious and the cause so admirable! Gotta stop by this hidden gem! Not only do they have delicious chocolates, but the customer service is personable and exquisite! I enjoy supporting small businesses and stumbled upon this from Yelp. Regardless of there being 1 review decided to try it and boy am I glad I did! I had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owner and her husband about their business. They even had a class of special needs individuals learning the art of chocolatier right in front of you. They promote hiring those with disabilities and giving those a chance at a future when most will turn them away. Love Love Love this place! They have the most delicious chocolate that you won't find anywhere else. I'm a chocolate lover and it's the best I've ever tasted. They hold after hours chocolate making events for parties etc. My friends and I have done this on 2 occasions and had the best time. The ladies that work there and run it are amazing. What do you love most about your job?
Working with our team. And serving our customers! Making our delicious products is a passion. We love to create fabulous chocolate and pastry.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our business started out of my home in 2013. My son, who has autism, had nothing to do after high school, so we started making cupcakes and cookies for everyone we knew. Then I became a certified Chocolatier and we included artisan chocolate. Soon more individuals with special needs started coming to my house to bake and make chocolate and eventually we opened out shop in 2016. We train and employ individuals with autism and other developmental issues.

We have amazing products. We get rave reviews on our items both in terms of taste and presentation. We often hear: “It’s too pretty to eat!” and we are very reliable. Plus, when you purchase from us, you are helping to provide jobs for those with autism.
