My sister and I were having a girl's night out and this place was hands down our favorite of the many places we visited! We made reservations and were seated at the bar quickly. The ambience of the Cellar is so unique, but the cocktails ... the COCKTAILS. Firstly, the craftsmanship and attention-to-detail of the bartenders is amazing -- they are truly artists. Secondly, do yourself a favor and order their NY Gin Sour. It was one of the best, if not THE best, cocktail I've ever had. Highly recommend! More...
Great food and fantastic atmosphere.
Birthday celebration was outstanding
Unbelievable start to finish!!! The waitstaff was incredibly knowledgeable and genuine. The red wine was delicious and recommended by our waiter when explained what we typically enjoy. The food was prepared to perfection. Can not wait to go again. More...
Great cocktails and food. Try the Smoked buttered pecan old fashioned. Delicious
This place is so cool. You enter through the Duckworth's entrance and head straight down the stairs. The room itself in not that big, but gives the place a speakeasy vibe. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and eager to help. The drink menu is on an IPad, complete with pictures. They specialize in craft cocktails, so definitely order one of those. My Moscow mule was delicious. The filet was perfectly cool, and the peppery char on the outside make for a good texture combo. The Tres Leches for dessert was so good! Would definitely come back. More...
Comida y cerveza, excelentes.
We got a great table for our anniversary. Staff was attentive bit not overbearing. If you haven't been to the Cellar it's time to go. The bacon and oyster appetizers and amazing. The ribeye is my favorite. My honey loves the scallops with chorizo. More...
Great cocktails and the bartenders are all experts!!
We were one of this first tables seated for the night and it was very quiet initially. By the time we left, I could not hear the person beside me speaking. The small restaurant, number of tables squeezed in and lack of acoustics made it very loud once the restaurant was full. The service was outstanding; our waiter was clearly very knowledgeable about the food and drink options. I had the cellar mai tai and it was delicious. We also had the brussel sprouts, risotto, ribeye, and pork steam buns that were excellent. The duck flatbread and beet salad were not as great, but also may be a matter of personal taste. We had the nutella cheesecake and tres leches cake for dessert which were also delicious. The prices of the small plates were reasonable ($10-15 generally) and easily shared. The ribeye was on the pricier end, more along the lines of a fine steakhouse. It was well seasoned and to temperature so overall I was satisfied even at the higher price point. It is dark, but it's a speakeasy cellar after all so to be expected. I wouldn't suggest this place for a quiet romantic dinner due to the noise level but great for a night out with friends. More...
Knowledgeable & fun server, Cameron. The food was delicious & unique. The atmosphere was great. Didn't mind waiting an hour for a table because it was worth the wait. Try the s'mores dessert. The bourbon & wine lists were great too. More...
I have been traveling here regularly (from LA) and this place is easily the best restaurant and cocktail bar in Charlotte. Food was perfect, spirit selection was excellent and the cocktails expertly made (by Sam). The location is in the basement and has a speakeasy vibe. Highly recommend and if your idea of a cocktail is a jack and coke this is a great place to try something new from the bartender. More...
Great place for craft cocktails and steak. Steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a variety of whisky drinks and left the decision to the experts.
This place is great. I've been here a few times with clients. They love it too. Hidden gem in Uptown. Service is always outstanding. Specialty drinks and beer cellar selections are fun. If you get a chance, do a tour of the beer cellar. Cannot go wrong with the Mole Old Fashioned either (with smoke). Chargrilled oysters and steaks were done perfectly. More...
Great experience and food every time! We've gone multiple time and every time we're glad we went. The food, service, and ambience was are on point.
This is hands down the best restaurant in Charlotte. The main draw is the dozens of hand-crafted cocktails you cannot get anywhere else in North Carolina, maybe not even anywhere in the entire South, outside of maybe NO or ATL. The whiskey sour with whipped egg white is among the best concoctions I have ever had, and this coming from an avid single-malt scotch aficionado. Every thing on the menu is amazing, from the duck flatbread, to the truffle fries. The single greatest food item, is by far the scallops. I, no joke, felt as though time slowed down while savoring every bite, As if by instinct I closed my eyes as so my I could devote more of my brains sensory perception to taste. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, paired with exactly the right sauce. The only complaint, if you could call it a complaint, would be the menu has not changed in over two years, I would love to see what else they can make a transcendent food experience. More...
Bobby Sunshine took great care of us and the food was fantastic
Date night with wifey at the cellar @ Duckworth was nothing short of phenomenal. 6 out of 5 stars on vibes, very 50' feel. I felt like I went back in time. What an amazing cool spot to hang out on a Saturday night. I ordered the "Truffle Mac & cheese which was finger licking good! We also ordered cocktails & they were all good! I ordered the mezcal flask & it left me G-O-O-D. Highly recommend the spot ;) More...
The food was some of the best I’ve had in uptown Charlotte. The service is great! We loved the look and feel of the restaurant!
Everything was truly top notch! Steaks were cooked to perfection, cocktails were phenomenal. My wife's boyfriend loved the scallops, and our ribeyes were amazing!
Spectacular experience. A remarkably well-informed and charismatic waiter. We purchased and shared a wide range of appetizers and both small and large plates and every single thing was fantastic. There was a wait of about an hour for a table when we walked in around 7 pm on a weekday night, and that says a lot about how many people know how good this place is. Got a post meal invitation to tour the beer cellar and then got a guided tour and lecture! The bill was less than I would have expected for the range of food and the number of drinks. Just an overall spectacular experience and we have already scheduled a return upon our next trip to Charlotte this summer. More...
Great smaller place, food and drinks were delish and service was great above all. A little pricey but great for a special night out!
Food and drinks were amazing. The tuna tartare was to die for. Darren took really good care of us. He made it a special night for my girlfriends birthday! Can’t wait to come back
I liked it. Kind of a small place. The staff was all nice. Food was pretty good too
Food was different but really good but the beer options are mind blowing I didn’t know where to start can’t wait to go back.
Favorite spot to get a fancy cocktail. The bar staff will make a drink for you based on whatever you're in the mood for!
The food, the service, the ambiance, all top shelf!!!

First time here and so glad we chose this place! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was very good. Highly recommend!!
Very cool vibe. Food was awesome. Got the beer cellar tour. Will definitely go again when we are in the area.
This whole place is outstanding. The people, the food and the smoked old fashioned not to be missed. My burger was superb and the bacon appetizer was like candy. Highly recommended. OUTSTANDING establishment. More...
Absolutely EVERYTHING❣️❣️❣️ The food, the environment, the attention❤️❤️❤️ Everything was nothing less than perfect
Great food, atmosphere and drinks. Very intimate setting. Service was amazing! Definitely a Charlotte gem!
EVERYTHING was excellent!! Our table of 5 shared several small plates (tuna tartare, beets, candied bacon) and then each ordered “large plates”. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Cocktails were amazing. Our server (wish I could remember her name!) did an outstanding job figuring out each one of our tastes for cocktails. We went with her recommendations; she hit the nail in the head for each of us! Great atmosphere and excellent food, drink, and service! :) More...
Everything superb..a little pricey..would be nice to have bread or rolls available..
Second time here and I'm so excited to be back!Hands down one the best hidden treats in Charlotte. You must make a reservation. They have my favorite cocktail here, the Cellar smash, made of fresh ginger, herbal infusion, elderflower, vodka, but the fresh ginger is the key ingredient, just so good and refreshing. My Goto and should be everyone's!My friends Rose was also good stuff. They have a great cocktail menu and make all their stuff in-house, juices and mixers. We had the pork buns, corn and leek risotto and the truffle fries as small plates. All of them I could have ordered again and eaten , pork buns, were moist and so much flavor, and fully stuffed! The truffle fries were nice and crispy and the truffle oil again flavorful. The risotto was my fave , so creamy and rich. Wanna go back just to eat that! Then we got the tres leche cake which had been on my mind since I read it on the menu. Never one to pass on that on a menu. Boy were we happy. Not like any one over ever seen, it has a salted caramel at the beast, and a coconut chiffon cream and a rum spiced pineapple compote on the side. Out of this world, one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. This place will be one of favorites for a long time. Top notch stuff. More...
Great cocktails and service. Yeah the drinks can sometimes take a little while, but when was the last time you had an artisanal cocktail?
This is an amazing place to eat great food I stop here everytime I'm in Charolette NC
The Cellar at Duckworth’s never disappoints! Great shareable options and the best Moscow Mule!
Excellent handcrafted cocktails and extensive beer list. Brussel sprouts are a must. The tuna tartare was good, as were the oysters. The scallops were excellent but smaller portion. Grouper was good but a little bland-the pesto rice as an accompaniment was great however. The gnocchi was tasty but very salty. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable to help us navigate the menu. More...
I would eat here everyday if I was rich. The Kansas City steak is amazing and they cooked it to perfection-medium rare. I got the Brussels sprouts and the mushroom medley. Delicious! Will be back in the future. More...
Wow… Best hidden gem in Charlotte!! The food, the atmosphere, and the drinks, were amazing but the big stand out was our server Darren! ! He truly made the experience outstanding and we will be back next time we are in town and request Darren as our server!! More...
Came here for a happy hour / girls night out hybrid and loved it! Very unique atmosphere - the prohibition vibes are everywhere. Drinks are well crafted and delicious, while the food is the same. The tuna tar tar was my favorite thing on the menu. More...
I came here for dinner on Sunday night and I absolutely loved my meal! I couldn't decide what dish to order so at the strong recommendation of my waitress, I went with the pork steam buns. O EM GEE!!!! They were so, so good! I'm so glad I went with this dish and I will definitely be back again to have it again. It was the perfect portion for a moderate sized meal that packed a lot of flavor.I had the smoked buttered pecan old fashioned cocktail which was also really good. The service that I received while here was excellent! The ambiance of this restaurant is dark and intimate while still casual. This is a great place for a date, and is a stark difference from Duckworth's mega sports bar upstairs. I can't wait to return! More...
We can't say enough about this place! Drinks - exquisite. Food - top notch. Atmosphere - so cool. Service - incredible. Big thank you to our server Krissy who was so kind, helpful and easy to talk to/ask questions. Would ask for her again on our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun night! More...
Good atmosphere great people food was fantastic.
We had wonderful service, and our server Nikki was so sweet! She helped guide our dinner choices and made my birthday dinner that much better!
We shared multiple dishes and all were very good or excellent. Drinks - though pricey and took awhile because they said all drinks were handmade (no blenders/pre-made ingredients) - we're outstanding. Our whole group enjoyed the beer "cellar"(?) experience. Been there for two dinners with out-of-town clients, and both times were outstanding experiences with attentive, informed servers. Will definitely go back. More...
The hamburger was amazing ! Beef ! And the fries was crispy and very tasteful ! And bacon. Appetizer was out of this world ! Our waitress was so kind and she smiled and was the best ! I wished i remmbered her name ! Black hair looked like blk lip stick , thin anyways she was awesome !! We went on wednesday ! 2 days ago around 6pm ! More...
I love the drinks
We selected this place for our anniversary because it was listed as a romantic place. Only thing romantic was the dim lighting. This was more like a corporate outing bar. Food was amazing and the their list of cocktails. More...
It was a cool swanky place but it got a little too loud.
Just had the best birthday dinner ever at the Cellar at Duckworths! If you want to go somewhere that will make you feel special, will take your order with care, and not rush you out the door, this is the place! The atmosphere in this location is romantic and intimate. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are the best of the best. One thing I really appreciated about our experience was the fact that the waiter really took a vested interest in making sure that we picked out items we would enjoy, and frequently checked back to make sure that we were having a positive experience.Overall a great meal, from the atmosphere to the food and drinks to the service. It was not an inexpensive meal, but it was worth every penny! More...
Really liked this place! I returned a second time (in Charlotte for work and was staying in uptown). The scallops were GREAT and the burger was very good. Nice beer and cocktail selection and the bartenders were super friendly and nice. Would return! More...
Great food and great atmosphere.
Great food selection that crosses many tastes. Interesting bottle selection in addition to duckworths usual, enormous selection. Would highly recommend if you're uptown! More...
Amazing food & drinks! Every bite was delectable.
Wonderful experience start to finish.
Great evening .
This was our first trip to the Cellar , but definitely not our last . The food was top of the line and our waiter, Ben , was outstanding. The ambiance was one of the most unique I have ever experienced in a restaurant. This place is a the top of the line .. More...
Always a great evening!!! Love the atmosphere so much...so cozy
Really enjoyed the cocktails here. Dark and intimate setting. It was sun hearing the bartenders describe the drinks, really enjoyed the NY gin sour
My boyfriend brought me here for date night and it was such a great experience! I loved that it was prohibition era themed and it was a very intimate setting. Their craft cocktail menu was amazing. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and the oysters were heavenly. What topped this experience off was our knowledgeable waiter from New York. He was so helpful in explaining the menu and suggesting drinks. He was also very attentive the entire night and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful experience there. This has become our new favorite spot in Charlotte! More...
Amazing space, food, and cocktails. So good I came her 2 nights during a 4 night stay in CLT. BEST MAC AND CHEESE IN THE WORLD!!
Everything was so damn delicious! Everything that I put in my mouth, was literally the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Lmao! Seriously! The only thing that I was not a fan of was the Seabass, the Seabass itself was delicious, but the egg plant and the squash on the side was very hard and not really seasoned very well. But literally everything else that my table ordered was amazing. We had the duck ragu , the scallops, the mushrooms (which were the best mushrooms I've ever had in my entire life) and many drinks and more food I'm forgetting. Either way, go, you'll have an amazing time and foodies will dieeeeee!!! More...
I love this place. The atmosphere is romantic and has a prohibition feel to it. My favorite thing off the menu is the Parmesan truffle fries! Sometimes I come here just because I have cravings for these fries hehe. It's a place where I can feel comfortable ordering just a few small dishes if I wanted or having a whole meal. The steak here is phenomenal, sometimes they can come out a tad salty but I just scrap off the top and my meal is still wonderful. The wait staff is great! Every time I've been here, they have been attentive and with great energy and welcome. They are super knowledgable of the menu too! This place has great service and good food. It's a local favorite for me. More...
I've been to this place 3 times and the first 2 visits were IMMACULATE!! The bartenders are amazing, the food is delicious, and the drinks are creative and unique! The environment is also cozy, romantic, and refreshing. The hostesses are typically super welcoming and friendly. On the third visit I called ahead of time to request an 8 PM reservation.. I was told by Sabrina they do not take reservations when dinner service starts at 5 BUT THEY WERE ALREADY FULLY BOOKED. So I asked, how do you NOT take reservations BUT the tables are fully booked? She then said they don't take reservations between 5pm-9pm so I asked if I could make a reservation for 9. THEN she said they don't take reservations between 5-9 and they're fully booked after 9 but there's open seating at the bar. This was the most confusing conversation I've ever had. I arrived at 7:30 hoping to get two seats at the bar. To my surprise I had no trouble being seated at the bar with 80% of the restaurant flat out EMPTY. My guest arrived at 8, we had food and 3 drinks. We were still there at 10:30 and the restaurant was still about 75% EMPTY. But the restaurant was FULLY BOOKED I say all this to say, be aware they will lie to you for some reason. I guess they would like to keep the tables open "just in case" I've had the tuna tartare twice and it's always delicious. The tuna is fresh and the guacamole is yummy! The wontons are a great compliment. The char-grilled oysters are good but have far too much garlic (and this is coming from someone who thinks one clove of garlic in any recipe is blasphemy) The lamb sliders are "good" but nothing special. They're juicy and have a hint of spice but the FLAVOR just isn't there. The potential for this dish was not reached. The risotto is AMAZINGGGGGGGG I suggest adding shrimp to it!!! Bomb!!! The candied jalapeño bacon is on the extreme end of HOT, SWEET, and STICKY. Unfortunately I can't say that I enjoyed it but I would suggest you try it for yourself if you're into this combination. The caramelized Brussels are delicious. It had far more pancetta than I expected but is that really a bad thing? :) The black grouper... WOOOO. Yes yes yes. Everything about this dish is to die for. The fish was cooked perfectly and the rice is delicious. The margarita was delicious I must say. The Moscow mule with fresh ginger is pretty good too. My sister liked the Mezcal Thymencello. The flavor was unique and pleasant. More...
This was our first time at The Cellar at Dillworth’s and our server Zach was knowledgeable, timely , friendly and professional and attentive. Two of us ordered the filet mignonette. Without a doubt it was the best filet I’ve ever had. The 1800 degree broiler is perfection! The custom cocktails and draft beer are awesome. My son had the expresso Manhattan and can’t wait to have another. I had the Russian Imperial Stout which was also fantastic! The truffle mac&cheese is great as were the beet salad and balsamic Brussels sprouts. Definitely get the scallops as well...superb! More...
Server: Bobby was our server! All 5 stars to him. Order: tuna tartare, duck flatbread and the risotto with scallops (Bobby helped us with that combination of the risotto and scallops, which really reflects his menu expertise, understanding of flavors on th and remarkable customer service) - All 5 stars Drinks: Hubby had some local ipas and I enjoyed the gin cocktail with absinthe a few times - All 5 five starsComments: We dined at the Cellar about 2 weeks ago, it was a reco from the bartender at our hotel and what a great surprise of service, food and good vibes. I really can't say enough about our server Bobby, he was the perfect amount of friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and at the same time, timely with his appearances at our table, not interruptive or overwhelming. Bobby is now one of two servers that I've had in the US that ranks in a category all their own. The restaurant's great menu was well represented. Thanks all for a truly memorable evening. More...
Hands down best Mac and Cheese you will EVER eat!! The staff was phenomenal! We don't live anywhere near Charlotte but if and when given the opportunity to travel through we always make it a point to stop. We've had nothing bad here and ordered lots of things off the menu. You can make dinner out of small plates and not feel like you missed out on a thing! More...
Always so much fun and delicious!! Many small plates and awesome craft cocktails with excellent service makes this restaurant my go to place whenever I’m in Charlotte!!
Fantastic food and drinks as usual! Great place to have a fun business meal!
Great experience for a special occasion. My husband and I went here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. The brussels sprouts were amazing! The best I have ever had. If you’re a fan of old-school mixed drinks, this is the place to come. I had a Sidecar that was really tasty. While the atmosphere, food, and drinks are old school the delivery is not. Food comes out as it becomes available, not at The same time. It is very much worth it! More...
The Cellar was recommended by a colleague at work and did not disappoint. Food is unique, but very good. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts, simply fantastic!
So this is where my hubby took me to celebrate my 40th birthday dinner while on a mini trip to Charlotte. Upstairs is "Duckworth's Grill and Taphouse," which is very casual. If you go down the stairs as soon as you enter this establishment, you'll be led to the "Cellar."Very very dark lighting, almost hard to see the menu, and intimate, great setting for a romantic dinner or any type of celebration. But really, you can come for dinner any day. I love the brick walls, all the dark mahogany type wood and plush leather seating, candle light, all the good stuff. Our server told us that this building was built in 1912!The food was so amazing. Anytime we have nicer birthday or anniversary dinners, I almost always go with scallops. And that's what I got here. I had the "BUTTER BASTED SCALLOPS -on a bed of cauliflower, turmeric, chorizo." Hubby had the "PAPPARDELLE DUCK RAGU - house ground duck, shitake mushroom, garlic cream, sundried tomato." We shared the "SMOKED FOREST MUSHROOM MEDLEY - with garlic cream & togarashi seasoning." Everything was delicious! No salt needed to be added to any dish. The night ended with a complimentary serving of their "NUTELLA CHEESECAKE - stout infused nutella, candied cherries, whipped cream." Also accompanied by such a random Happy Birthday serenade by the girls sitting/dining at the table next to us! She realized there was no candle and birthday song and said, "it's not a birthday without a song and blowing out a candle!" Lol it was so sweet. She held up their centerpiece candle, she and her friend (and D) sang to me and I made a wish and blew the candle out. Such a nice and memorable birthday dinner. Service was amazing, food was amazing, prices - not crazy and so totally worth it, for the quality you get. I didn't partake in any drinks, but the options seemed endless (drink menu on iPad). I would highly recommend The Cellar at Duckworth's! Thanks for being part of my Charlotte memories!*Review #46 of 2019. More...
Very unique experience and decor. It’s like being in the speakeasy days. Our server, Darren, was exceptional and the food and beer selection was superb. Highly recommend.
Definitely the best steak in Charlotte, or anywhere I have ever been for that matter. Well worth the price and really loved the charred oysters, buttered scallops and the duck flat bread. Absolutely a great steak!!!!
Very nice place. I was realy impressed by the service and delicious food!
One of the best places I've ever been! The service was top notch just like the food and unique drink they make here. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers! !!!! The cherryon top has to be by far the best steak I'm sure I will ever have, its indescribable! If you haven't been here yet it's a must! More...
We went here for our anniversary and it was perfect! The cellar has a high energy vibe while still being intimate. Our server was knowledgeable and so friendly, and the food was delicious. Bobby our waiter was terrific! He made the experience a great one. Food, drinks and atmosphere all an A+!!!
The service was very good the food was not as good as the last time. I assume when is busy the quality of the food is diminished because of the volume I would definitely return to the place but I would probably choose a weekday instead of the weekend

Everything was great, but they definitely over did the salt on the ribeye. It was super salty. I also tried the duck with spaghetti squash, the Mac and cheese, and the truffle fries and it was all delicious. Great service as well.
So this may sound like a bit of a commercial but...If you're looking for a solid option for a pre or post theater dinner Uptown, I recommend the Cellar at Duckworth's. The food is great, the drinks are even better, the atmosphere is dark and romantic and the staff are highly trained pros. Not to mention they are open until 1AM on Thursdays and 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Our experience: last Thursday about 11PM.Seated right away. Candle light everywhere. Pretty lady across from me.Ben, our waiter, was a pure gentleman. He made subtle affirmations of our menu choices and gave much appreciated descriptions of our dishes and their ingredients as he brought them to the table.Caramelized Brussels - sexy vegetables that you should eat - with Balsamic, Onions and Pancetta.Truffle Mac and Cheese - should be labeled "for grown-ups only" - just loaded with rich, savory, deep smoky flavor - Grafton Cheddar, Gouda and another guest appearance by Pancetta. The Cellar Burger - not sure what's in the house ground blend but it is fantastic - cooked a perfect Medium - covered in Gruyere, Onion Jam and Jalapeno Bacon - served with Fries and Cornichon. Off the charts good. When I saw someone at the table next to us have one presented, I didn't have to look at the menu anymore. Total date night winner!!! More...
Phenomenal cocktails. Great food options. Server nakomi was awesome! All around atmosphere was really interesting!
We had the best server. I loved her. This made me feel like my birthday was special. The food was incredible, too.

Wow. We stopped in on a whim while passing through Charlotte on our way back to Florida and were absolutely amazed at how spot on the service and meals were. The cocktails were done properly and truly handcrafted. We travel monthly and the Cellar is now in our top pick of places. We will definitely be flying back to Charlotte just for the Cellar. The cocktail menu was out of this world and the food was unique and tremendous. We’ll most certainly return. More...

Our bartender, Jameson, was amazing! Every drink he made us was perfect. And the service to dine at the bar was great. Even though the place was packed, I felt like we got outstanding treatment. Can’t wait to go back!
Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Patrick, our server, did a phenomenal job explaining the building history, drink options, food recommendations, the amount we needed to feed our party of 10. We were well cared for and the food. My God - THE FOOD!! What a cool vibe, trendy but not at all pretentious. Will definitely return! More...

We had a great time for our 17th Anniversary! We will be back again!
There were eight of us booked at The Cellar before a 7:30pm concert off Spirit Square. We sat down at 5pm and were quickly welcomed by our server, Sarah. Everyone's dinner was exceptional and the service was outstanding. We were finished in plenty of time to make it to the theatre with time to spare. We were exceedingly pleased. Ambience was great, meal was very good. Drinks were unique but not something I would probably order again. Got a little loud towards the end as it got more crowded. Overall, still one of the best places I've been to in Charlotte. More...
Server was informative and helpful. We selected items from the starter menu and that proved to be more than enough. We booked our seating through “open table” and which only had a 5:45 pm table available. Needless to say that when we left at 7 there were still numerous empty tables available. More...
Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. I am currently pregnant so the bartender whipped me up the perfect mocktail. 10/10 would go again.
Loved this place. First time in Charlotte and I’d go back every time. Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the bacon appetizers as amazing!
Delicious! Each dish and drink has a unique flavor profile. It was hard to pick a favorite menu item....I did though, the siracha bacon.
Where to begin? The service was phenomenal, the beer cellar was amazing, Truffle fries were to die for and the Steak was the best of all. Highly recommend the Cellar to those on a date or aome friends hanging out. The atmosphere was great, low lights, quiet chatter. Great restaurant! Thank you staff! More...
Dark.great food. No music
This was our first time eating at The Cellar and it was delicious! First off, our waiter Josh, was amazing! He was extremely helpful with our meal selections and drinks. We all started with the oysters, tuna tartare, and brussel sprouts....so good! I had the scallops and my husband had the shrimp and grits. It was amazing!!! It is a little loud but, seriously, this was a fabulous meal! Highly recommend! More...
Everything was amazing from the service to the food.
This is a cute, nice restaurant that is below a more mellow/sports bar type restaurant. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. The Mac and cheese is AMAZING! The Brussels were just as amazing. You can't go wrong with either option. It's a nice place for a date night or to have a nice dinner with some friends. More...
Wow!! We came to Charlotte for a Panthers game and was looking for a family dinner (our kids are teens). This restaurant blew us away! Service was exceptional, the small plates were creative and delicious, the portion size of each small plate was large enough for four people, the 3 dessert choices sounded so good we ordered one of each!! Nothing disappointed us!! This is now s must every time we visit Charlotte!! My ONLY quasi negative rating would be for the lighting. I get it... it’s a cellar it should be dark. It was a tad too dark for us but our eyes adjusted. Go try The Cellar at Duckworth’s... you won’t regret it! More...
Excellent atmosphere for a speak easy vibe, expertly crafted cocktails and hand picked wines and craft beers, out-of-this-world food, and top notch service. If you can't have a successful date here, they probably aren't the one you should dating. Also, awesome for dinner or drinks with colleagues. More...
Food was fabulous.. atmosphere unique but fun. Loved all the drinks and food we had.
We were in town for the evening and stopped in for a nice meal. The Mac n cheese was excellent and the cocktails were tasty and well presented. Darren's service was excellent and the variety of beers available is impressive. Really enjoyed it More...
We stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while we were in Charlotte for a few days and went back a second time. It has a cool speakeasy vibe. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about everything on their menu, including the food, drinks and wine. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch mixologists making drinks, they know what they're doing. I had a filet mignon that was out of this world! Everything was delicious, highly recommend this place. More...
Loved the ambiance, history, and friendliness of the staff! Our bartender was so welcoming, easy to talk to, and was great at explaining our drinks and the history of the place. The beer cellar is amazing and should definitely be checked out while you're there. The cocktails are so creative, fun to watch being made, and absolutely delicious! I had the flaming peach margarita which was something unlike anything I had ever had and I was in love. We've had cheese boards before but there's was incredibly delicious also with boar and prosciutto and cheeses chosen by the bartender. Definitely a place to check out you won't regret it! More...
If you're looking for the experience I suggest sitting at the bar where you can take in all that the mixologists offer. The aromas and sights of their concoctions will entice your palate. We tasted several small plates including the beet salad, truffle fries, and filet though my favourite was the sugared jalapeño bacon. The tuna tartare was unexpectedly fishy for my taste but hubby liked it. Fortunately for us (maybe) it was not crowded but I could see guests being shoulder to shoulder on a busy night with seating so close together. We requested a table upon arrival but were told the tables were being held for reservations- several of which remained empty during our entire stay. Big bonus points for the server upstairs who hunted me down in the basement with a sample from the taps as he attentively listened and sought a recommendation. A nice place for adults- not so much for the kids. More...
Fun, unique place for drinks!!!! It's a speakeasy which is a fun place to grab incredible drinks! I went on a Saturday night with friends and it was packed, even at the bar. The menu is pretty expansive but the drinks were incredibly fresh and the bartenders put on a show. My friend got a smoked drink and they burn the cedar in front of you which is a cool experience to watch. The drinks are expensive, but you're ultimately paying for the experience. The food also looked incredible, and if I'm in town again, I'd love to try!! More...
Great atmosphere great food we really liked all the signature cocktails! my wife and i will defiantly be back. Get the smoked mushrooms!
FANTASTIC food, drinks, ambience! We hope to eat there again the next time we're in Charlotte.
Went for a girls' night out. We shared a ton of the small plates and enjoyed it all! Good service as well. We will be back.
Wow as my son said the place is like gastro-pub meets speak easy. The place was jammed with a variety of patrons. The grilled oysters which came highly reviewed and recommended by our waiter were more like grilled garlic chunks (too much for me) but everything else was awesome! My filet was amazing (perfect temp and char), my beet salad very good and the lemon curd dessert my son was only going to taste some was equally light and delightful. The drinks were killer pricey but very good - I’d recommend the peach marg! Our waiter was Darren provided excellent service too! More...
Their steaks are perfection! I have food allergies and they are very accommodating. We will always go back when we’re in town.
Such a great place! Starting with the cool "speakeasy" atmosphere that was a treat in itself, then our server, Bobby, practically gave us a performance on the pride in their drink menu, details of tastes and smells we could expect, and advice on what to order. We couldn't resist dessert either, and the cheesecake was so light and amazing! We split nearly everything so we could both try more stuff and they were very accommodating to that. More...
Very classy neat and organize place great food (go for the Mac and cheese) and very reasonable pricing
The Cellar was excellent. We shared tapas and had drinks. The food was delicious. It did take a bit of time for the drinks. The wine pour was a little smaller than I've seen in most places of this caliber, but it was overall an excellent experience. We both said we'd go again! More...
Three words: candied jalapeño bacon. I mean, truly WOW. didn’t even get photos of my food (very unusual for me) because we were savoring every bite. served tapas style so the food just kept coming. Will 100% go back next time we are in town! More...
We had a great experience at The Cellar! Our server was wonderful, the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner, and the drinks were wonderful. I cannot wait to go back on my next visit to Charlotte. More...
Very loud and extremely warm inside but great food and service. Will return!
We had the best dinner, the filet was cooked perfectly and the special craft cocktails were delicious! Will definitely go back next time I'm in Charlotte.
Order the Mac-n-cheese eat it....order again and eat that ....order again and keep going until you fall off your chair! The best darn Mac-n-cheese EVER. Seriously all our other dishes were very good; roasted brussel sprouts, dessert, great drinks, etc sleeted all good too. Wonderful service and a nice space that is a definite re-visit in our next trip to the Queen City. More...
This place was definitely worth the wait. It was about a 30 minute or so wait. I got the grounds duck ragu and my wife got the burger with the onion jam. Both were wonderful! You can tell they make their own pasta and the duck was sauteed. The burger was cooked as ordered, medium well, and fries were pretty wonderful. If I had a complaint it would be that the beer list is actually too large to choose from. They boast being the largest choice of beer on the east coast, but I'm not sure that's a good thing. We missed cocktails, but if you like them it looks like this would be the place for you. More...
Service great and the food was really good
Great beer selection and great waiter Bobby
This was my second visit to this restaurant. The 1st time I had one of my vendors take me and I thought the food was phenomenal. I brought a few friends a long with me this time to celebrate a birthday and they raved about how good the food was!!! I've attached a few pics but OMG, from the hand crafted cocktails to the entrees, everything is made with perfection. The food is just delicious. I love the venue too. It's definitely a Cellar so know that there are absolutely no windows. The spot actually had some history to it but I won't spoil it for you by sharing. I promise you will not be disappointed!!! More...
Delicious food and amazing drinks! For the best experience possible sit at the bar and ask for Jameson. He is an absolute artist behind a bar. Let him have fun and concoct your drink. You won’t regret it! More...
Food and drink were great. The only downside is that it was SO loud in there on a Friday night. Not the place for a relaxed intimate dinner per say; we had to almost shout to be heard by the people in front of us. That being said, worth a visit. More...
Phenomenal. The experience of the cellar alone would be worth a return visit but the food is out of this world as well. I fully expected Al Capone go walk around the corner at anytime. The steak is one of the best, if not the best in Charlotte that I've had and the small plates were also delicious, especially the oysters. The cocktail menu is second to none in the 704 but the obscure beers on the beer list are perfect for someone wanting to try something you'll likely not find anywhere else in town. Service was great too. We will be back soon! More...
Very good restaurant. A bit loud since it’s all brick with a low ceiling. Food was great. I had the oysters and duck confit. The duck was cooked perfectly with an nice crispy skin. I would go back for sure. More...
Overall a good experience for the 6 of us...definitely will come back! Waiter was very thorough, knowledgeable of food, beverages, and history of building, though seemed a little routine in his presentation.
This really was a great spot. Over 150 beers on tap, really good service, very creative food selections, it was a great experience. I think they have 50 TVs hung in the bar. No matter what sport you want to watch you can find an angle I watch it. But they're high enough, that if you're not into it you just wanna have a good conversation, they're not obstructing your view. I would definitely go back. More...
We were in Charlotte for two nights and enjoyed dinner at the Cellar so much that we returned the next night. Sit at the bar!
Second time in. Just as good the first time around. Steak was perfect, medium rare filet. The New York Gin Sour was lovely, waffle cones always a pleasure. I will be back next time I am in town. It's great to see a restaurant maintain quality over time. More...
Went out for a celebratory dinner and had an amazing experience! Started off with a bottle of wine and a board of delicious cheeses and meats. Our waiter, Patrick, was delightful with background of the building and MANY recommendations from the menu. I had the rib eye for my main, cooked medium rare, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly! The crusted steak paired well with the side of risotto. If you have time to check out their beer cellar it is a sight to see! Overall a must go to! More...
Nice atmosphere, good food!!
The service was too fast to have a relaxing meal. The food warrants more time to enjoy it!
My fiancé and I were in town for the weekend from Raleigh for a concert and went here based on the rave reviews and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is great, a little on the darker side lighting wise, but it’s built to mimic an old prohibition era speak easy. Very comfortable, romantic environment. The hostess was very polite and friendly, our waiter, Scott was great. Very informative, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious! We had the steamed pork buns, the truffle Mac and cheese and the Kansas City strip steak. We ordered it medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. My fiancé was close to eating the bone but since we were in public at a nicer restaurant, he didn’t lol. But it was delicious. We will definitely be back the next tine were in town! More...

Amazing food, unique cocktails and atmosphere.
Visited Charlotte last week, came all the way from Sweden on business. We don't have Tomahawk steak in Sweden, so my first priority was took book a good well known restaurant in Charlotte that had it. All of my research ended up with The Cellar at Duckworths.I ordered the 32Oz Tomahawk steak (Ribeye on the bone) medium/rare, it was cooked to perfection, I ate it all, almost the bone to go with it. My next visit to Charlotte I will definetly revisit this restaurant since it's become one of my favorites.Let's try the Scalops for my next visit! More...
Amazing mixed cocktails and atmosphere. We had 5 different small dishes to share at the table, all of them were really good. Will definitely come back again. Service was excellent and waiter had a lot of knowledge about the history of the building. More...
By far the best appetizers I've had in a very long time. The lamb dumplings were amazing and the tuna, plus the oysters. The drinks were perfect. Loved the decor, dim lights, vibe and atmosphere. Will definitely go there again. More...
It was our first time dining here, and it was wonderful! Our server gave us just the right amount of attention, and was very informative. If you appreciate upscale dining I highly recommend. More...
Second time visiting and just as good as the 1st time. Beer and drink selection is excellent. Food was very tasty and quick to service.
We absolutely LOVED this place! Made the reservation on a whim (based on other very favorable reviews) to celebrate our daughter's new job/move to Charlotte as a recent college grad. From the unique atmosphere (we DID feel transported back to the speak easy days) to the spot on service to the delish food and drinks (more on that in a second) I'd like to give them 100 stars! A great feature for those of us older, sight-challenged folks - lighted ipad menu for cocktails, beer and wine. Best mai-tai we've ever had (only complaint is it is too small :) Delightful food: the brussel sprouts, appetizer cones, truffle mac and cheese, burgers (yes! best we have had this year) with truffle fries, spicy shrimp and grits, and to die for Nutella cheesecake. This is a GEM of a place. More...
5 star across the board. Our server Darren mage great recommendations, and made sure our party of 9 was well taken care of. Gave fun tour of the cellar. Atmosphere and food were fantastic for this business dinner. More...
Most amazing beer selection ever.
The food was tasty. It has an awesome feel to it.
Excellent food, excellent service, and nice ambience.
There with my college girlfriend of 22 years. Great drinks. Great service. Monsoon rain after I left. Parking was on - compared to NYC, where there's none!
Short version: Quality cocktails, nice atmosphere. We'll be back. After a nice dinner, my wife and I decided to check out The Cellar. It was Saturday night, and a bit after 9pm, so no reservation needed. The wait was 10-20 minutes, so we got beers upstairs. After a few sips, we got the text that seats were open.Down the staircase, around a corner, and we come to a dimly lit brick room with seating for a couple dozen people. Definite speakeasy vibe here.We sat at the bar, where two fresh glasses of ice water were waiting. Drinks — Craft cocktails, with quality liquor, smoke infusions, and herb mixes/garnishes, made right in front of you. I had the Cellar Smash, and something with Mezcal and egg whites. I don't recall the name, but it hit the spot.Food – We didn't plan on ordering any food, but once you see those Waffle Cones go past you, it's hard not to order them. They're delicious, and sadly all we had room for. Atmosphere — Dimly lit, warm colors, sturdy chairs with leather cushions. The iPad drink menu detracts from that experience for me, but I can see why they use it. Seeing what a drink looks like can inform your decision a bit here. Noise Level — Some reviews mention the noise levels, but it wasn't a problem with all seats filled on a Saturday night. You'll have to speak a bit louder than normal — so it's mild by bar standards, but a bit loud for a typical sit-down restaurant. You won't have to beat a DJ's sound system in order to talk. Overall, it's a solid speakeasy, and we'll be back — with dinner reservations. More...
Hidden inside Duckworths downstairs in the basement. Excellent selection of craft beer and tap beer. If you get the chance take a tour of their cellar. Food plates are tapas style and classified as small or large. All of the dishes are fresh and portion sizes are spot on. Prices are moderate but worth the experience. Craft cocktails run rampant and are worth trying out. Place is small and can get packed quickly. There is a bar but it's also seated by the host. Highly recommend making a reservation. Acoustics can get really loud depending on the crowd. More...
The old fashioned's are amazing
One of the best steaks anywhere.
OMG this place has honestly been one of my favorite restaurants I have visited. The food and service was amazing. Highly recommend it. Worth every $$$
Delicious mules and truffle Mac! Worth the wait for a table on a Friday. We will certainly be back.
The Cellar at Duckworth's was such a wonderful dining experience! Our waiter was so knowledgeable about every food item and drink on the extensive cocktail menu. He was friendly and helpful and added so much to our dining experience. The food was absolutely perfect and there was a mix of cuisine and options to suit anyone! The atmosphere was dim and cozy and we will definitely be back! More...
Overall, we love visiting The Cellar. The food is always wonderful and the service is top-notch. However, they really should work on their value. The dishes are as over-priced as they are tastey... and drinks and cocktails even more so. $10 for a 2oz cordial Come on guys. That’s outrageous. You should give your customers a break... show some gratitude for people being willing to fight the uptown traffic, and deal with the severe lack of parking. Great place... but you’re abusing your clientele. Lighten up on our wallets just a bit. More...
Great atmosphere, excellent food, amazing drinks, and just an overall excellent experience.
Always amazing! The filet as also amazing!
Our server Patrick was the best we’ve seen in 15 years in Charlotte, drink/food suggestions were on point and we had a great time. Will definitely be back and bring others. More...
I went here for my birthday and it was my first time. I enjoyed that there was so many drink options and absolutely ask for a tour of the wine cellar. The dishes were delicious, unfortunately I didn't know things were fried in peanut oil, and it limited my options. It was written really teeny tiny on the bottom. The parpadelle was delicious, and the side of 'shrooms were, honestly the best part of the meal. The cheese plate was not impressive and did not have the best variety, and were all hard cheeses, minus the blue, and not something I would order again, and the charcuterie, the bresaola specifically was dried out. The cocktails are very "speakeasy" and fun and unique. Oddly enough our waitress was great but the hostess were rude. Our reservation was at 8:00, so we arrived then and were told our table wasn't ready. They said they told "one of us that they would text us". When they sat us they plopped down the menus and walked away quickly. So besides the hostess, everything was good. I mean the food is the most important part anyway! More...
Wonderful place overall!!The staff is very friendly and the food and drinks are amazing!!!
Officially the best Philly Steak south of Philly. Perfectly seasoned meat, but the star is that roll! For me, the bread makes the experience, and Duck's hit it out of the park. Can't wait to return again and again!! More...
This was my third time at The Cellar, and I fall more in love with this restaurant every time. The wait staff and bartenders are wonderful. The food is amazing (highly recommend truffle mac & cheese). The environment genuinely feels like you’re at a speakeasy. The drinks are phenomenal! No complaints from me at all! More...
Great place. Drinks were fantastic and food was delicious. Very noisy but it wasn't a bother for us. We will absolutely be back!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. You are greeted with a smile, the service is awesome, Darren is a great server. Highly recommend!
Our server was great! He told us about the history of the cellar and we even got to check out inside the cellar. The food is delicious and portion size is more than enough to share between 2 people. One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. More...
Excellent in every aspect. The cocktails were inventive and delicious. The food was fresh and delicious. We picked a bunch of small and large plates and were not disappointed! Our server Christine was warm, friendly, and attentive. She was the embodiment of Southern hospitality. Overall, everything at The Cellar is thoughtful and it shines through in all that they do. We cannot wait to come back! More...
We had an excellent first time dining experience. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for both small and large plates. The scallops were cooked to perfection. We look forward to coming back and bringing our friends (and even not-so friends) because it was that good. More...
I'm amazed this place is related to Duckworths- I like Duckworths but the Cellar is another level. The food is always incredible. This time we had chargrilled oysters, fried rice (I questioned this order but it was right on!) and the small ribeye. Two guys order Filets and I have to say they were fantastic. Great food and great vibes! More...
Wow! Fantastic food, spirits and service. We were a group of 6 and shared a number of tapas dishes and an order of the 14oz Rib. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended the Candied Jalapeño Bacon and the tuna tartare. The steak was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms dish was a great compliment. The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. You'll need a reservation but I I highly recommend this restaurant. More...
The Cellar is a throwback to a time when you could get great food, drinks and service all together. It was an experience trying new drinks and the food was fabulous. Ben provided great service and will be back for another event. Thank you. More...
My first time dining here. Server was Zach. He was great! Food and cocktails were excellent. Will return soon!
Darren is always very attentive when we stop by. He remembers what we like to order and offers suggestions for drinks or dishes that go well with the foods we love. With more options popping up every week in Charlotte he really is one of the main reasons we pick this restaurant over others. More...
Love the cocktails, very tasty and authentic. I highly recommend the French Buck. Atmosphere and ambience was nice.
The food and service were excellent. My wife and I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. The burger and drinks were delicious. We will be back!
One of the best hidden treasures of Charlotte! Amazing cocktails and great food! The speakeasy feel was perfect for our date night with busy lives/kids. Benzel was our waiter and made the experience one to remember and come back to. We will revisit and ask for Ben! More...

Love Duckworth’s. Always a fun place, fabulous food. impeccable service. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. If I could change anything it would be to add a green salad to the menu.
My daughter and I went for dinner and we were very impressed with the quality of food and ambiance. The truffle macaroni and cheese was the best one we had ever had! The lamb dumplings and Brussel sprouts were equally delicious. She got the NY steak and I tried the scallops for our main courses. Everything was served hot, and was aesthetically pleasing. The portions were generous so we didn’t have room for dessert. Next time we will order more wisely. Our server was fun and attentive. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant if you are in the Charlotte area. We will definitely return. :) More...
The dark cellar and the smell of smoke from the infused drinks were the first thing I noticed when I entered the restaurant. Then the staff interacting with the patrons set the stage for a fun and interesting evening. All six of us felt like we were being treated as if we were the only ones there. The service was fantastic as were the food and drinks. Known for their steaks, my filet was awesome with the Pittsburgh style char. The charcuterie with wild boar and Gruyère was very appetizing. The tuna tartare was outstanding. I tasted the grouper and while it was good, I'm glad that I got the filet. Now I see why it's tough to get a reservation. I'll plan ahead for next time. More...
Sam was awesome! Actually the entire staff was fantastic. Great food. Great service. Great experience.
The food was very good, along with the ambiance being quite and conducive to good conversation. I thought the wines by the glass were pricey. Service was very cordial and accommodating. We'll go back for sure. More...
Great service. Excellent food. We enjoyed a quick tour of the craft beer cellar. Will go again!
Great wings and great beer. What more could I ask for? Parking was tricky but that was easily solved.
The Cellar Food 4.25Value 4Service 4Décor 4 This was my 2nd time here and it did not disappoint. My 2 friends and I ordered 6 appetizers which was way too much food:Appetizers- - Truffle mac and cheese - TOO DIE FOR. SO CREAMYYYYYYYY! I had high expectations for this and it far exceeded it. Hand down best dish of the night. The bits of bacon were a nice touch. - Caramelized brussels sprouts - also amazing!!! Pro tip- eat the brussels sprouts with the mac and cheese. Game changer, I'm telling ya. - Lamb gyoza- nothing too special but the lamb tasted very fresh - Charcuterie + cheese - is it weird that the honey accoutrement was my favorite item on the board? Well, it was. And I would eat spoonfulls of that honey. The cheddar + gouda are fantastic. - Corn Risotto - risotto was a tad overcooked. By the time we started eating this, we were SO full. - Duck flatbread - visually looked beautiful. I was so full when I took a bite of this. It was a flavor blast but not in the best way. The balsamic was a bit overpowering. Probably would not order again. Cocktails- had the french buck and moscow mule. Moscow mule was fantastic but the french buck was way too gingery. I've had their other cocktails in the past and all were great and you can tell are made with so much love. This place is great for happy hour, catching up with friends, or date night-- it would make for a super romantic date! More...

The service was fantastic! Our waiter was very attentive and are food and wine suggestions based on our preferences. The menu was creative and the food was delicious! The restaurant definitely has a cellar feel as it is located on the basement. But it didn’t feel stuffy or claustrophobic Decor was well done. More...
Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious. The best filet I’ve ever tasted and the mac and cheese was divine. I didn’t have my ID, so was unable to get the cocktail I ordered. I should have known better and brought it, since they specialize in craft cocktails, so I was not too upset. The waiter ended up bringing me a mock tail version of the cocktail I had wanted to try, free of charge. That was so sweet and really the cherry on top to a perfect night. Excellent customer service!! More...
Great food, top notch service. Darren is the best waiter in town.
It was fantastic. Great food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be going back.

Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are all top notch.
Amazing beer selection with excellent food. Be sure to try the mushrooms and candied bacon.
Great little speakeasy
Excellent experience all around. We sat at the bar as walk-ins. The chairs were a little wobbly, but that is the only negative comment I have of our visit. The staff was friendly. Cameron was an excellent bartender who mixed delicious drinks and was the right balance of social and giving us space. The food was delicious- we had about 5 different small plates. My boyfriend even commented that he’s never been so pleased by a plate of mushrooms before. Inventive and cozy, I would definitely go again next time I’m in Charlotte. More...
Fantastic food and cocktails!
Great brisket nachos!
I’ve been here a couple times before and it’s always been great. Bobby Sunshine was our waiter last time, he was amazing!
I really loved the service! Our waiter was exceptional and the drinks were very good!
First time to The Cellar. A hidden gem in Uptown Charlotte for certain. Service was excellent and food was outstanding! Brought the whole fam. Will be 'our' spot going forward. Only warning, floors are extremely slippery, so step lightly. More...
I would definitely recommend Duckworth’s to a friend for the cool location and awesome drink menu. Our server, Cameron, was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was lacking though, we enjoyed our charcuterie board although it took quite a while to come out. The Truffle Mac and Cheese was excellent but the burger we split and the Tuna tartare were not very good. The Guac that came with our tuna was clearly browning heavily and the tartare lacked much flavor besides sesame. The burger, although it looked really good, was bland and we could only taste slightly over cooked burger. Just go for drinks and Mac and cheese. More...
Great meal, great drinks, cool spot. Cool ambience. Avoid if your don’t like loud restaurants but otherwise it’s a 10
LOVED this place. Especially the craft cocktails. They were so unique and the bartender really put a lot of effort into them. Our server even offered different customizations of drinks to our preference. His recommendations were excellent! Their mai tai is out of this world and one of the best Moscow mules I've ever had. Food wise: we had the duck flatbread which was tasty! We also had the lamb dumplings that I enjoyed much more than I expected. The portions are good sized. The price isn't cheap but you're paying for the ambiance as well. We walked into the restaurant and had to go down the stairs to the cellar. It's all brick and dimly lit. Just a great atmosphere. Outstanding food, great drinks, and terrific service make this place one of my favorites in Charlotte!

Such an amazing experience. So much to experience from the cocktails, starters, and entrees. The dining room is very cool and decorated with 1920s speakeasy theme. Our server was so wonderful and thoroughly entertaining. He walked us though the history of the establishment, how the chefs prepare the food, and was helpful without being invasive while we were eating. We ordered starters, cocktails, main entrees, and desserts. Every item we ordered was amazing. We will definitely be back! More...
Both times I've visited, I've had the absolute best service. Everyone is willing to take their time and introduce you to their specialties, tell you the history of the building, and assist you in picking out a perfect cocktail. I can't remember the exact name, but my favorite is the spicy, smoky peach margarita. Trust me, it's great. My steak was also cooked very well, and during my pervious visit, I quite enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese plate. More...

Will definitely be back.(Recommended: candied bacon + filet mignon) More...
Wonderful restaurant and staff! A keeper!
