First time at this venue for a concert. Sat front and center in front of the stage. Great vantage point for concert. Great sound and good ambiance. Friendly and efficient bartenders and wait staff. Highly recommend this venue for concerts! More...

First things first, the initial interaction with Brandon at will call was one that absolutely prompted me to recommend friends and family to come enjoy the venue simply because the staff is all about making sure you are comfortable and able to enjoy whatever show you may be visiting for. Cheers to you Brandon thank you and thank you as well to the very kind hostess. The venue (staff aside) is nice, cozy, and has a well stocked bar. While I did not get the chance to try any of their food I will say the presentation of it is A+ on the plate. Do NOT come here thinking you're not going to spend money, you will.,....but chances are (if you're as lucky as me) you will have a great show(Poncho Sanchez is AMAZING) with great company, and enjoy a couple good drinks. The lighting is on the dim side but may be according to whatever genre of music is being belted out by the talent. OH and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Bottom line.... You should absolutely treat yourself to The Canyon ! More...

My wife and I try an attend at least two events a  month at The Canyon.  The entertainment and atmosphere are awesome.  We can't say enough of the great service provided by Brandon.  We try and get seats in Brandon's area as much as we can. His positive attude and personality is one of the big reasons we continue to return. We can't wait for our next event. More...

Good place to hang out and see a concert.  Drinks are a little pricey, but aren't they pricey at most places !  You pay for what you get, the ambiance is nice and the price of tall can beer is about what you would pay at a Dodger game.  Sound is amazing and I enjoy seeing concerts at these smaller venues.  We will be back! This is a very nice venue. It has an intimate setting similar to Improv or HOB which makes for a great show. There were sound issues in the beginning which was frustrating but once that was worked out I enjoyed it. Cocktail was a tad on the weak side so next time I'd stick to a beer or just a shot of something. More...

This was our first time at The Canyon. We have been to shows at the other two locations, ( Agoura Hills and Pasadena) but had not made it to the Canyon yet. Therefore, we knew how the evening works with dinner hour and drinks. Adriana was our server. And we were the lucky ones! Adriana has that rare skill of being personable, but not intrusive. She was a delight, always there when we needed something, friendly, great attitude, professional, and she hustled to make sure all her patrons were well taken care of, but never seemed rushed. It has been awhile since we had a server with that perfect blend of making you feel welcome without being overly attentive! She's a natural for sure and a huge part of what became a really spectacular evening! The food was surprisingly good, hot, and generous portion. We had the Bar B Cue Salmon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The garden salad was a nice healthy spring mix and not overly drenched in dressing. The meal was flavorful, but not over salted or fatty. Drinks were a healthy pour. Beer was really cold. Perfect mix of food and drink. The sound quality was awesome, as well. We expected this from seeing shows at the other locations. It's a pretty special establishment to hear live music and have a very different intimate musical experience.  We are thrilled it is here in Santa Clarita. More...

My husband and I have been enjoying the food, drinks and entertainment at The Canyon for the past year! Since our first time there, we were lucky to have Brandon take care of us, he was soo nice and went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our time! We like the venue, but will only be seated in Brandon's area since he makes our visit extremely pleasant! We have taken many of our friends there and have introduced them to Brandon because we know that he will take excellent care of them!! We love Brandon he is an amazing person and the Canyon is lucky to have him in their staff!Brandon makes our time so special that The Canyon has become our date night place for my husband and I, we go there at least once or twice a month! Can't wait for our next date night at The Canyon! If you stop by, ask for Brandon he will take good care of you!! More...

I enjoyed seeing the Linecutters and Black Flag on Friday, September 20th. I paid for a seat near the stage and enjoyed it very much, although I did stand for part of the show. I ordered a mixed drink that was well prepared and a ribeye steak that was also very well prepared; cooked as ordered, rare, well seasoned, and tender. The side dishes, asparagus and mashed potatoes were fine. The service was  excellent. The drink came out quickly and the food came out within 20 minutes. I ordered a glass of house red wine and it was served before I had taken more than a bite or two of my steak. The show started 15 minutes early, Hurray! The acoustics were great. The bands were visible. The only drawback is that the restrooms are located out in the mall and one gets wanded for metal/weapons every time one enters the venue. This is a very pleasant music venue. Date night at the Canyon Club, if you want great music and want the club atmosphere you need to go! Sit or stand just feet away from the artist! So here is the skinny you can buy your tickets inside at the window, they charge there price and a service charge and a 25 dollar min per customer if you want to sit a table. So basically your 40 dollar tickets are going to run you short of a 100 almost the same price as dinner and a movie, but this is much better in my opinion. You can use your 25 per on food and drinks. The food is okay and the service is not a issue. They really try to make it a memorable experience. Over the years we've seen some great entertainers. Parking is not a issue there is a big lot to park and it's free. So go see you favorite band if they are playing ! We had a young host by the name of Madison and she was very friendly and helpful. Coming from out of state, I had a great experience. The band that I saw wasn't necessarily my genre of music, but i was more impressed by the customer service from the employees working there. Mainly, Keri, my server. She was super attentive and made an exuberant experience for myself, and the group I came along with. Don't expect fancy cocktails from a place that isn't fine dining. There definitely is room for growth, but they are going in the right direction. More...

The customer service is exceptional and I got to see one of my favorite bands of all time, Black Flag. Not bad for a new spot to be hosting such an incredible group of performers. I was just there on Saturday and it was amazing. I've never been to this location before but I was impressed. The parking lot is huge and doesn't require valet or any cost what so ever. I had purchased a table ticket so I was informed to arrive by 7pm. All table seats must spend $25 or more. I ordered some chicken tenders with ranch. 1 Modelo and 3 gin and diets. The server was amazing! Her name was Sandra! Extremely helpful and fast. Filling up my water and asking if I needed anything else. Opening act was amazing! Jon B was amazing as always! The sound was great and the indoor temperature was excellent. Thank you for wonderful night! More...

Love this venue and how lucky we are to have such a beautiful restaurant and concert hall in Montclair. I want to give a shout out to our server Brooke for providing us with amazing service. We had issues with our tickets(purchased through Ticketmaster) and she took care of the problem. The concert Herman Hermits was extremely crowded but she was spot on in taking care of us throughout the evening. I've had the same experience with other servers at other concerts we have attended there. If your in the area they have an amazing lunch and dinner with a different menu than during concerts. Thank you Brooke for treating us like VIPs. Looking forward to many more great times there. More...

I visit the Canyon every Thursday for borderline country night. Besides my love for country and line dancing, the people who work there are why I continue to go there every week. The bartenders have the best customer service I've ever had at a bar. Special shout out to Brandon, this guy is by far the best bartender/Manager I've ever met. Since day one he has remembered my my name, my drink, and even starts pouring it for me if he sees me heading to the bar. Also, Brittany, Sean, Andrew, Todd, Tony, Reighny, and anyone else I missed that works Thursday nights, thank you for being so awesome! Love the Canyon ... great venue to see a band you haven't seen in awhile a close intimate setting. I had a chance to see two bands there so far. The pros are there is alot of standing room near and far from the stage , the drinks are priced fair, staff seemed nice at least the ones I ran into. Ticket prices are reasonable. The cons are , you really aren't able to sit anywhere, unless you are eating dinner or apps and with that I think its a $25 minimum...    but it will give you a table to sit at. I am coming back soon... there are alot of great acts up and coming on their calendar. I recommend highly. More...

The residents in the Pomona Valley and Inland Empire should be thrilled that a venue like this has been brought in. I visited the Canyon for the first time last night and it was a good experience. It's well built and designed. The door staff and servers were very courteous and professional. The sound and light guys did a spot on job. Tributes to Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, and The Doors all played excellent sets. It was a good hang with a lot of cool peeps. I'm looking forward to seeing Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on September 13th. And just 20 minutes away ! More...

I came here to see Frankie J and the venue is massive.  There are two bars, one when you enter and one in the back.  There is plenty of seating whether it is at a table close to the stage in the back at booths or high top tables.  Food is served here, but prices are quite high so I didn't have food here.   The drinks are also on the higher end as well.  Thankfully the staff here was friendly and made sure the patrons were taken cared of. Had a great experience here watching Frankie J. His voice is still the same & he performed live. Entertaining to watch & he looked at me when he was singing while I was singing his song! Haha. Four stars with reservations (the other kind). The Canyon is a growing company that has spread rapidly in recent years. Their top-shelf and huge location is in Aghoura Hills. Appearing in Montclair at the old mall was certainly a surprise but welcomed. For example, if you follow them on Facebook new concerts by artists are posted all the time (e.g. Too Short, Yngwie Malmsteen, Ratt et al). One by one artists' shows are listed at different Canyon locations, sometimes on back-to-back nights. The biggest and most important thing to understand about these venues is that they are all super clubs. In addition to the cost of tickets you may select from available seating charts or opt for GA standing room only. Another caveat, potentially, is the minimum cover charge, which presently is $25 per person. It is imperative to arrive at 7pm when they open to get the food obligation out of the way. Sure, you could run up a bar tab if that's a preference. Now for the Montclair club. It's moderately big. Two large bars, tables in front of the stage and small tables clustered closely along the back wall. I picked a spot two away from the sound man, which theoretically lends a balanced PA. However, as the opening band rocked and impressed us with youthful vigor (shout out to Electric Hound!) It became clear that it would be louder than expected. When the legendary George Lynch hit the stage the limitations of the space were immediately apparent to listeners and the band alike. A standing wave is a physics problem when echoes in corners and odd-spacement create a distorted slap-back rumble that kills a bass frequency. That's a really big problem with the venue. At one point the young sound guy cranked up the volume too high and had to spend time figuring out how to balance things again. Verdict: food is good but not great (see pics), service was decent, George Lynch fucking rocked, and our hearing was jacked up. Wear ear plugs until they figure out the right sound here. Will I return? Yes, but only if it's a matter of seeing an important artist with a guaranteed smaller crowd. More...

So we saw the spazmatics there in the beginning of July, they were delightful! The only issue I had was purchasing the dinner Seats. The food was marginal and ridiculously priced. The seats were soooo close to the stage that the lights were so bad we could barley see. My migraine auras get triggered by heavy lighting so our waiter was sweet enough to move us to better seats a lil further away from the stage. All in all it is a great venue but I will reserve different seats next time! More...

Last Friday, my sister and I had an absolutely wonderful time seeing our favorite local band Venice.  Our seats were great (I booked them early so that my sister, who is deaf, could lipread the singers); the food was tasty (the taste of the brownie sundae lingers in my palate memory); and the time, extra care and attention we received from our server (who referred to herself as "Jen V." ) was nothing short of perfect....I noticed that she seemed to offer the same level of kind service and interest to all of the folks around me---what a gem. The bands were a lot of fun! The Canyon is still new and has a lot of potential. It’s weird having so many tables right in front of the stage at a concert venue. The bands wanted us to dance, but the dance floor was behind the tables in the dark. When we finally got the courage to go dance next to the stage it felt weird because of the tables and made me feel like we were invading peoples personal space. Also, we arrive at about 8:30pm and half the venue was empty and we were told we could stand anywhere but the tables were for people who reserved and paid for them... We spent more than enough at the bar to deserve a table. More...

This venue is nice to see a concert.  I don't believe their is a bad spot on the floor.  Drinks & food is in the higher price.  But, it's affordable and a cool spot to hang with your significant other to enjoy yourself.  We came here to see Sinbad and he is hilarious!  I got my ticket from goldstar.  However,  I didn't realized that I didn't get a table or seats so I spent $10 each for my husband & I to get seating.   We were seated all the way in the back & I thought out seats were great!  Oh. I forgot, I don't seating was crowded.  You're seating side by side with another couple. If the person is in the heavy side good luck fitting in your table.  Luckily I'm pretty petite because the guy I was seating next to was pretty thick so it worked out. More...

We have seen so many bands play here and continue to crack ourselves up as we join "the 50 and 60 something" crowd and rock out! Much variety from English Beat to Queen Nation tribute band. The venue is kind of vintage and while you can buy tickets for table seating which includes dinner, (not cheap) we never do... we're good with standing or the bar seating is fine if we get tired of standing. It's very open, there's a large dance floor in front of the stage, 2 large bars, one on each side of the venue and they serve great drinks - VERY expensive!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Good times!! More...

I love going to the Canyon!  I feel like this place is my second home as I go so often and it is so close to home (under $10 Uber ride for me).  The staff is awesome (especially Michael and Caylee at the door and Gus serving drinks and not judging me as I seek a break from work/kids/life). They have some good bands, bad bands, cover bands and every once in awhile they will actually have some top names visit (maybe as a tune-up for bigger venues?).  I go to a lot of concerts in big venues like the forum, staples, rose bowl, Greek, palladium, etc., and I like this venue better as I can get real close to the band and it is inexpensive. Vince Neil was a disappointment but some of these 80's & 90's rockers are prima Donna's so not the canyon's fault.  I love the heavier stuff (country not much my thing) but still this venue Rocks and has a good variety of artists. I hope they keep it open as long as I'm in the area. Maybe they should spruce it up a bit as the one in Santa Clarita is a lot nicer but sooo far away. Have Shea spend some time on a remodel?  Just a suggestion and I will go it regardless. More...

A MUST DO! Australia's Little River Band who were HUGE in the 70s hit The Canyon Montclair to a Full House. Goldstar had Discount Tickets for this Event. There is FREE PARKING here. This is the newest edition to the Canyon Club. There is The Rose in Pasadena, The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, The Canyon Clubs In Agoura Hills, Santa Clarita & now Montclair. This new club is brand new, very modern & much bigger than the other Canyons. It is located in the Mall on the second floor & has its own Entrance upstairs. The Wall Decor Inside has Pictures of Music Artists, Comedians, & Instruments of some of the performers who played at various Canyon Clubs over the years. They have multiple bars with Big Screen TVs. They also have a large Mechanical Bull on the side. I know LRB has had all kinds of Legal problems & battles & member replacements etc. Whatever version of LRB that played in Montclair CA sounded good. They sounded close enough to the original & the audience really liked them & sang along to those 70s hits all night. LRB sang some of their biggest classics including Love is on the Way, You've Got a Man on Your Mind, Happy Anniversary, Reminiscing, Lady, Lonesome Losers, Night Owls & a Bunch of others.  A Fun Night Out!  It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget! More...

Come here for the music and you'll have a good time. The shows I've been to so far have been great. The service at the bar is a bit lacking but they haven't been open long, I think might just be new staff. I haven't tried the food but during the shows they have a limited menu that's pricey. The ticket prices vary but general admission isn't expensive and you can always find a free table or bar seat. The music is great from any angle, and you can always walk closer to the stage and stand, dance, yell, or rock on! More...

We drove in for a concert and we were very cautious about eating here. We sat with four other couples near the stage. Our neighbors had salmon, steak, and they shared a very tasty looking wedge salad. Everything looked delicious! Our waitresses, Jen, took very good care of us. We had a wonderful night at the club. I would recommend this club. We ate dinner, and drank , at other restaurants tonight. We will definitely give this venue a second chance. (Wine corkage was $25. ) More...

Came to this place for Fathers day brunch. We had the best server Sierra. We got here at 9:45 and got sat at our table with no wait. We ordered shortly after 10 am and our food did take a while. Our server notified us and kept the bottomless mimosas flowing. Although our food did take a while, it was pretty good and the severs and bartender Kelli did try and make sure we were having the best time. We will be back for other concerts that they're having to give it another try. Thank you canyon! More...

Came here to see the Mohave Beach Band and have a drink with friends. The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise! Worth the drive from LA to hear this band. The band has great original songs and a chill vibe. I'll definitely come again when they're playing. Ordered a dirty martini and it was reasonably priced/tasty. The only qualm is that it was served in a plastic glass. Thanks for the good time. More...

Brought my dancing with The Boogie Nights.  We didn't get food, but he drinks and service were great.  The management and servers took care of us really well.  The band was a bit late to start, but the warm up dj was great and there was a good dance vibe before the band played note 1.  Once the band go going the dance floor filled up.  They moved the tables out of the middle of the dance floor so we could get up close and personal with the band.  We had a blast and will definitely be back. We drove all the way from SFS to Santa Clarita to see our favorite tribute band, Renegades of Rage at the Canyon. Of course it was our first time here. Last time we were out here this awesome Shopping center wasn't even here! The Canyon staff was very friendly. Unfortunately no waitress came to our table to see if we wanted anything. That's okay, because the food and drinks were way out of our budget. It was very clean. There were a lot of tables available when we first arrived but none after the last two bands started. Huge dance floor for a restaurant/bar. The stage was a little small. We were able to get to the front, right in front of the lead singer. It was a great Friday date night with the hubby. We danced our asses off. We parked in the first parking structure we came to. Unfortunately for us this was the complete opposite side of the mall. We mistakenly walked to the venue, no problem getting there. After dancing for over two hours, we had to walk all the way around the mall to what is now the last parking structure! The parking is plentiful and I think that is awesome. If we were out this way again, say to visit Magic Mountain, we would come back. I would recommend catching a favorite band or tribute band here. Just remember to bring plenty of cash and to park in the big lot close to the venue. Thank you Renegades of Rage for the tickets! More...

This is a really fun venue to see live music. The Good: The acts are usually really good; even though they are usually understaffed, the wait staff really hustles and are friendly; they have a good selection of drinks at fair prices. The Bad: The food is average at best and very much over priced.  Avoid eating there. The Ugly: At two of the three shows we have attended the sound mixing was way off.  The singers are usually too low, and a bass or guitar will be overbearing.  It has also been a bit tinny at times.  The mixing definitely needs to be improved.Lastly, always buy your tickets at the venue with cash.  You will avoid a ton of excess fees.  This makes the shows very affordable. They have great bands...Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult, TheTubes, Geoff Tate ( QueensRyche ) Randy Bachman....WOW !!! We go together and with friends. Our kids (who are 30+ ) love the 80's night and frequent it.. And we have even seen a few tributes too.I'm writing mainly to say SWEET last Sunday was the best show ever. I'm not much into live music. I was given some tickets to the headliner, Ambrosia. I got there just in time to see the main act, and I had a great time-and most importantly, my ears weren't ringing after I left to the quieter outside. I liked watching the various people at center in front of the stage standing and dancing, sometimes, from what I could figure, with total strangers. Being seated at the south side, away from the center tables, I started listing which images of dead, mostly music, or all music, celebrities were on the surrounding trim. I say mostly, because one of them was certainly Chuck Barris. I am just familiar with his Gong Show, and his producing other famous shows. Starting from my left, it was 1, 2, then Stevie Ray Vaughn, 4, 5, 6 then Frank Zappa, Johnny Cash, then an unknown, then B.B. King, a few more then Syd Barrett, et al. Being unfamiliar with the dinner and booze format of this particular type of theater, the people at the door said it was like House of Blues. I never been there, either, but I would guess the beer was just as expensive. A little more than 10 dollars for a pint can. I did not eat there, but their menu, especially the steak menu, looked very appetizing. They went into great detail about the different cooked states of steak. More...

A Must Do 4 & 1/4 Stars. Goldstar had Discount Tickets for this Concert @ The Canyon Club In Santa Clarita. It was a Crowded House to see CTA. CTA are Danny Seraphine & Bill Champlin 2 members of the group Chicago & the rest of the band Danny is best known as the original drummer and founding member of  Chicago. Bill Champlin was a member of the band Chicago from 1981-2009. It was an evening of some of Chicago 's biggest hits & some deep album cuts as well. Danny was against the band singing ballads & wanted the band to do straight up Rock & Roll. However when the ballad Just You & Me hit #1 & the cash started coming in he had a slightly different opinion. Danny 's heart monitor on his Apple Watch went off a few times. He kidded he was 70 & didn't care if he died on stage. He said if he dies onstage just bring in some Italian Food & another Drummer & Just keep on going. LOL! They started off the evening with Old Days. Make Me Smile, Beginnings, Just You N' Me, some album cuts, If You Leave Me Now, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, Dialogue Part 1 & 2, Hard Habit to Break, Hard to Say I'm Sorry, I'm a Man, 25 or 6 to 4, Saturday in the Park, & finished with Feelin Stronger Every Day.  A Fun Night with the Classic Sounds of Chicago as people were singing & Dancing to the tunes.  It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. This concert venue just recently opened inside the Montclair Place mall. Hi stopped in because they're also open for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere was sort of between country western bar and an LA nightclub. The atmosphere was very comfortable. There was lots of wood and the lighting was dim... I liked it!I had a seat at the bar and ordered the brick chicken and a beer. The beer was cold and chicken was hot & tasty. Came here opening night, there were definitely a few hiccups, I had a new server- they had a few servers come in from others venues. The food came out pretty quickly, but I also came on time 6:30pm. People around me came in after 8 and complained about slow service. It clearly says online to arrive early between 6-7 for dinner. I loved the atmosphere, Vince Neil was also amazing. I think this venue is a great addition to Montclair and the mall. I would research about the venue and how it works before coming here and blindly rating it a 1 Star- also they opened the same week they got their city permits- no soft opening but the GM explained it was either open a bit unprepared or not have the show! THE SHOW GOES ON! looking forward to coming back. More...

Came here for Vince Neil, it turned out to be their opening night, was a bit hectic, but understandable. I've been to their other venues and i'm sure the opening night kinks are going to get worked out quickly. I bought my tickets about a week in advance so i got the chance to look at the layout. I purchased two seats at a round table so that i had a little bit more room. if you are looking to be close to the stage the seating on the dance floor is a little more crammed, but you are right in front of the band, so what is there really to complain about. it's a concert venue, not a restaurant. it's expected to be crowded. i came at 6:15 and got my food and drinks right away, my waitress was so sweet and helpful the entire night. service stopped around 8:30, and she explained it was so that the servers didn't block us from Vince! The food was fantastic, and Vince was amazing. I had a pretty awesome time. I got a chance to look at some of the upcoming shows and i'm looking forward to coming back for my favorite bands! so glad there is a canyon in Montclair!! More...

A MUST DO! Goldstar had Discount Tickets for this event @ The Canyon Club In Agoura Hills. The Discount Tickets are for standing room only at the bar area that still provides a good viewing of the concert. This concept provides a low cost effective way to see concerts at a lower price.  A lot of people who are on a limited budget would love to go to concerts but could never afford do this before, because of the price. If you want a seat here you pay for dinner & the show. But if you just want to see a concert then Standing Room is Fine. A lot of concerts that I attend they can sell my seat anyways because I'm up most of the time; so I don't really need a seat. LOL! The Parking here is FREE! These clubs on the outskirts of the city are getting really popular all over the country. If you go see a concert in the big city between high ticket prices, then service charges, ticketing agencies, then the parking rates; it can cost a small fortune even before you start out. Then getting something to eat & Drink & buying a T Shirt. It costs a FORTUNE!!!! At these smaller venues you can save money & have a more up close experience with the artists. This Niche Marketing Concept is starting to catch on.It was a Packed House to see the legendary Spinners. It quickly turned from a Sit down Concert into a Dance Party with Everybody up & Dancing & Singing Along. They started the show with Could It Be I'm Falling in Love, their 1970 Stevie Wonder written  & produced Smash It's a Shame, I'll Be Around, Working My Way Back to You. They slowed it down a bit with Sadie, then they brought out their Old School Dance Moves with Mighty Love,&  Cupid, They performed their Smash #1 that they originally recorded with Dionne Warwick - Then Came You, Then they sang  One of a Kind Love Affair. They ended the evening with their classic Rubberband Man in which they did the Rubberband Dance. The Concert was so much Fun. It was a little short however. I wish they performed a few more hit songs. Everybody was up Singing & Dancing the whole night long.  It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget! More...

Came here a couple weeks ago to see Rita Coolidge perform - my dad was a huge fan years ago. So this was a great venue to see a show. The club is not large, so you can get a good seat just about anywhere you sit. We got front and center which was nice for a mellow rock/soul/folk type of performance, but probably you might want a little further back if it's a rock band - because you'll be right in front of the speakers.  There is a $25 minimum charge if you want reserved seats. I think this is very fair, because the food was very good, though not great. But let's be real - the place needs to be able to make a profit and keep the venue viable. I'm glad there's a club in this area that draws really good musicians. The drive is easy, there's free parking and who wants to always drive to mid-town LA or West Hollywood to see your favorite performers.  And the ticket prices are fair as well. So overall, the evening is very fairly priced. Side note- one of the opening acts - Amber and Smoke were really good. I think they've opened for other acts too - if you get a chance to see them, you'll enjoy their vocals. Regarding the food - I had the prime rib - huge portion, tasty and while not the best I've had, it was definitely enjoyable. More...

We went to the Canyon last night for dinner and a concert. We had been there before to see concerts but this was our first time eating there. When we got there we had someone in our seats and the hostess was very professional about moving them to their seats so we could have ours. Our waiter Brandon greeted us right to take our drink orders. The food was a little pricey, but really good. We both had the lemon chicken and shared a basket of fries. He checked on us frequently and was very friendly. The concert was good. We had a few people who were in areas they were not supposed to be and the bouncers were great about moving them to the proper areas so our view was not obstructed. After the show while we were in the lobby Brandon even came over to see how we enjoyed the show. It is so nice having a place like this locally and we will definitely be back! More...

The opening band "The Furious Seasons" set the table perfectly (Thanks for the Cds).  Marshall Crenshaw did a wonderful job stepping up to the plate in honor of the late Pat D (RIP).  The original band members came to play and nice to see they didn't miss a beat.  They Rocked The Canyon Club opening with "Wall Of Sleep"  played all there hits " Top Of The Pops " , "Only A Memory " , " Blood and Rose " , Behind The Wall Of Sleep " ,Drown In My Own Tears , with a few covers mixed in  (Well... Alright) and closed with the classic "A Girl Like You".  The Smithereens will be @ The Rose in Pasadena this Saturday Night Feb 9th. Nice to see a band from way back still bringing it 30 + years later. Thank you ~ The Smithereens ,  The Canyon Club , Our Waitress for a great night of Rock and Roll.....Even on a school night ;) More...

My husband and I saw the Smithereens last night. The place was bit old, food was not so bad like other people say, waitress was nice and friendly.  Drink price was average, if someone looking for happy hours price then this is not for you.  Great show, entertainers are engaged with us.  I had a great time.  What else are you looking for? Finally, there is a legit concert venue in Santa Clarita! The Canyon is an amazing venue that has booked some stellar acts,  both national touring acts and local bands as well. The venue itself has a great sound system and everyone on staff is quite friendly. There are 2 fully stocked bars inside the venue and a secondary bar/lounge area outside the venue. Holly is an absolutely great drink slinger and always greets you with a smile. I fully recommend this place to any music lover, especially if you live anywhere near Santa Clarita. More...

What a great venue to see bands. One of the best sound systems around, not one band I've seen there has had any audio problems. The outside bar is a great place to have a drink and or food before the show or if you are in the area. The staff, specially the bartenders & wait staff are friendly, prompt with their service & do a good job to make sure everything is too your liking. My steak was over done & they had a new one for me in no time at all. Holly who bartenders inside is one of those bartenders who is always friendly & works through a packed bar to get to everyone as fast as she can.  She such a great bartender, that I'll wait at her bar because she has earned my loyalty as a customer. The Canyon is doing the little things right to get loyal customers by bring great bands to local areas & staffing with employees who deliver great service. More...

It's so nice to have options to see shows in LA and The Canyon SC is a very cool spot. Reminds me of the good old House of Blues days. The server Brandon made the night better right from the start.  He was funny and was fast and on the ball.  He kept up with our high energy and needs.  He was always polite with that dash of laughter in the right place.  We couldn't have asked for a better waiter.  By the end of the night I just wanting to take him home.  He could have been one of my boys.  Love the service, love the club, love the bands.  3 out 3 isn't too shabby. Have been attending this club for years now and each time we reserve a table. The service usually is decent given that its usually a full house. But what really is upsetting is that the table area can be accessed by non paying patrons. If they purchased a general admission ticket they should be only allowed in the designated area. Not to come and stand with a massive group in the front of a table that has paid a decent amount of money to watch the show along with dinner and drinks. There needs to be some kind of rope or designated access like other venues to that area. I dont want to watch the back of a Tommy Bahama shirt all night long after I pay around $400 for a good night out. Im sure others can attest to this issue as well. More...

Been going here for years! Always enjoyed this place. Its large, open, and perfect for concerts which they mainly focus on. Recently on Wednesdays that have made it a special night as they are calling it Borderline country night! For those effected by the recent tragedy that occurred at BL its awesome the Canyon is opening there doors and catering to the crowd who would usually go there.  The drinks are strong which is a great thing! But there are 3 Bartenders who really go out of there way toMake you feel welcomed. Taylor and Bri work at the same bar the last few times I have gone and they are super cool! Funny and make some amazing cocktails! I really enjoyed how nice there were to the customers rather then just a quick smile and service they seem the have been trained really well and definitely make it a fun time. Also Gus who I believe has been working there for quite some time always is friendly and gives great recommendations on drinks. So wether its on a Wednesday or any other time you go try and go see the ones mentioned above as you wont be disappointed! More...

Great Venue! So glad they opened up a location in SCV. Watched Gin Blossoms and it was packed! What a treat to end 2018 with one of my favorite bands. The venue is a good size and anywhere you are the stage and acoustics are great. We sat front row and got to high five Robin Wilson as he sang and played his tambourine to our enjoyment.   Young and old gathered together; no age barriers just unity and harmony that music brings together. I was told by a friend that the food wasn't that great but so glad we chose the dinner ticket because we really enjoyed the food. Husband and I shared the prime rib medium with sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus and it was delicious.  Cooked just as ordered, savory with the ends charred Oh My Yum Yum! We also got the spinach artichoke dip n chips and loved it.  I recommend that artists take advantage to perform at venues like this to be up close and personal with their fans.  Very few locations offer close to intimate settings but am glad The Canyons can bring that connection to people as well as uniting us through music.  The Canyons ...you guys get it! Thank you for adding SCV to your growing locations across California. Note: minus 1 star because the drinks could've been better. Had the Moscow mule and it was meh.  Barely tasted the ginger beer, seemed flat and vodka balance was off. Ordering a beer took longer than expected so maybe an extra hand would've helped in service. Our server was pleasant and cool but had more tables to handle that probably should. More...

$$$ The DOPEST and FRESHEST $$$Let's be real, there isn't a better venue to see live music in Santa Clarita. The entire facility from the ground up is designed for live music, which makes a massive difference in experience. There are bars on both sides of the stage for easy access, seating is well laid out, and the dance floor is friendly and available.Johnny Depp has played here.Countless legends have already rocked here. The prices are Dodger stadium in the 70's reasonable. The people are fun and sociable.Go to a show here, and you'll want to go once a month, which is a healthy idea, it'll boost your mood and outlook on life, as well as provide the proper environment to blow off some steam. So do yourself a solid and pick up some tix, what else would you rather be doing?  Ordering some Grubhub and watching Netflix?  Not a bad option at all, but The Canyon is a better one!!!I love you Canyon! Thanks for loving me!!! A friend of mine and I attended our first show at this newer Canyon location as we decided to make a last minute effort to see Bonfire, an AC/DC tribute band last month. The band was already thirty minutes into their set and the bartender who also sells the box office tickets was inundated, so the the club manager Diana M. promptly came over to help us get our tickets so that we could quickly get across to the stage area and see the show. The band was phenomenal, playing all the great songs and more, and did a superb job of putting on a highly energetic and awesome sounding performance. The crowd of AC/DC fans were really into the music and the show, as the band represented the stage antics of Bon and Angus perfectly. The sound and lighting was also very good, while the design of the stage allowed for a lot of great band and crowd interaction. I will see Bonfire anytime they come back to play and my friends and I will be looking to see many more shows at this great location of The Canyon venues. Thank you so much Diana for being so friendly and nice in addition to giving us such a fantastic level of quality service. We will be looking forward to seeing many shows there! More...

I liked the venue, small and intimate....best time to show up is about 8-8:30p, you can still get a side table that's decently close without having to reserve one up front and pay extra....but it also depends on who is playing.  The drinks were served in larger cups (I hate those small dinky drinks where you take 3 sips and its gone).  Server we had was great, everyone was real friendly.  I'm not crazy about the menu, I like more casual, down-to-earth grub.  The serving bowl for the fries is a bit silly, the tall cone shape is so high you cant see what you're grabbing and it blocks your view.  Atmosphere, ambience were great, nice clean bathrooms, but you have to leave the venue, cause they are on the outside...a bit odd.  How about a change in menu....throw in some hot dogs. Such a great addition to Santa Clarita. This venue has incredible shows that you would normally have to go to Los Angeles to see. Instead right here local.Ticket prices are no different than other venues and ticket master fees are the same for every venue anywhere.Every concert I've ever gone to anywhere in the world have higher then normal bars or resterants. People on here all seem shocked? The prices are no different then a House if Blues or wilderness theatre, or anywhere else. And not served in a small plastic Dixie cup .Every one keeps saying that the food is not  great. It's a concert venue that serves food . Not maestros. Which I might as would be three times the price .What other major factor that no one had mentioned is the fact that. The Canyon is also paying $10s of thousands of dollars in expenses Every night to  pay these music groups that " OTHER RESTERANTS. Don't hav that expense. This is why the prices are higher than say chili's !! It's all factored in beTween timetable , drinks , food etc. BeSides all the Expence of all the staff not mentioned that the venue has to pay. The Production staff , hospitality , sound , lighting, Stage mangers , production managers , stage hands , spot light operators . That are there all day and hours after the shows end in order to put on all these shows. These are not minimum wage people and what the extra couple dollars charged for drinks compared to a regular bar. Helps pay for all that staff also , There more than just servers and bartenders .ere are also nights that they have happy hour prices drinks all night long! What people are forgetting to mention about The Canyon club is yes it's in a huge mall that closes at night Which leaves ALL OF THE FREE and Upclose PARKING YOU WANT! That saves you $20 alone Or more in parking charges alone. Plus another $20/$25 in gas to LA .So with You get to stay local and see your favorite bands or comedians in a smaller intimate and up close experience. With 1000 people instead of paying even more for tickets plus parking W SAME TICKET MASTER FEES . For seats so high up You need and oxygen tank and binoculars so you can see the singer that appears to be 6 inches tall from where your sitting.I didn't notice anyone had asked for different seats because of pole and if the venue was willing to accommodate you depending i. Expect to pay a lomp  Pay more for flat warm beer in a small flimsy plastic cupWith a top notch sound and lighting system. I would choose Canyon everyTime!Unfortunately some bands bring their own sound guys and the venue can only do so much to control the mix and volume levels.I know that the resent few months that issue has been addressed and the volume levels are much more comfortable and seem to being monitored more closely. I wasn't sure about the seating chart so I was able to talk to someone via email. Madalyn responded right away and was sooooo helpful and had someone call me the same day. We went and rrreeeally enjoyed the show. Sinbad was hilarious! I would have given 5 stars but the seats we had with a straight back were soooo uncomfortable and the speakers are a little too loud in there. The waitress was pretty good. Love this venue - its local and presents the best of both nostalgic acts and some more modern acts as well. Its also beautiful, has great acoustics, easy parking, and access to great food. Its really a great place for people my age who refuse to give up live concerts but don't want to pay a fortune to finance the careers of the newer, younger, crazier, nonsense acts...Here you can count on real music, with lyrics you understand, minus the pyrotechnics or blinding lasers, or dozens of dizzying back-up dancers. Every person I have been in contact with is polite and professional. This club is EXACTLY what Santa Clarita needs to keep alive. The management and personnel are working very hard for us. A lot of folks come from the SFV, our neighbors, and I feel right at home at the Canyon Club. The shows are amazing. Sure the drinks are pricey and the food less than stellar. But that may change. Besides, I'm not going there to get blitzed or pig out. I go there to enjoy the live music. Maybe the Artist share in profit from the sales. Recently Me & a Friend attended "Wynonna Judd & The Big Noise" concert at THE CANYON CLUB, SANTA CLARITA, which is located in the Westfield Valencia Town Center.  This is an excellent location to catch a show by Your Favorite performers in a very intimate setting, with excellent sound system.  There is not a bad seat in the house, if You choice to sit, there is also General Admission, standing available.  Who would have thought a Club, located inside a "Mall" could be such an excellent place to hear some Great Music, but it is!!!!! I would of given it 5 Stars ***** except I ordered the Prime Rib and it was a bit on the bland side & over-cooked, and it is not served with horseradish, I asked for some & was told they didn't have any.  I had the Prime Rib at "The Canyon Club, Agoura Hills" location before & it was excellently cooked & seasoned and served with creamy horseradish, & I believe I even ordered mushrooms on it, which is another item NOT available at THE CANYON CLUB, SANTA CLARITA, so I took off 1 star because of that.  However my Friend had the Flat Steak & said it was good!!  You definitely want to come here to catch your favorite music acts though, excellent sound, excellent set-up & intimate setting to hear great music & have good times with friends!!! I went in there with a one-star attitude and I walked out with a five-star attitude.I'm not sure what people are expecting when they come into this place but this is no doubt a great addition to the Santa Clarita nightlife. There's no doubt that you are going to be bent over on the prices and they really need to work out the air conditioning blowing right on you at the tables above while you're trying to eat, your food gets cold immediately. Please work on that!I saw the Wailers there a while back and now I know next time don't sit up there and have dinner,  just come in for the show before it starts. I will say the music was well engineered so if you're there and the music is too loud or distorted, that's because they have a lousy sound engineer for the band, not the venues fault. Some of these sound mixing engineer's are deaf and just want to turn the music way too loud! I know, I'm one. More...

My girlfriends and I saw Air Supply last night and loved the venue. The location was convenient and very pretty inside. Our bartender, Shawn was so friendly and a genuinely nice guy. Great drinks and a very good wine selection. We will definitely be back but I recommend getting a table rather than general admission. Great night at a great place. More...

I went to The Canyon on 7-28-18 to see Led Zepagain.   We had a reserved table which I would recommend.  The Band was fantastic and a lot of fun.  My first time seeing Led Zepagain and understand why they have a large following.  I really need to compliment our server, Jo-Jo (not sure of spelling) but he was a fantastic waiter.  checked up on us during dinner, made sure we were ok, made sure water was refilled.  I really believe that having Jo-Jo as our waiter made for a positive setting to enjoy the rest of the evening.  The venue is very nice, and our booth was comfortable and located so it was easy to see the show.  My only complaint was that the food was expensive, it was good, but expensive.  Will absolutely be back to see another show, but will share a dinner! Not a bad experience, what I like is the security kept everything in order. Usually the canyon in agoura hills suck for this reason security let's  all the people in general admission move towards the tables and then you can see noting and your all cramp up. I was expecting the same here but nope right away they put a stop and we had a clear view of the stage nice job! Also a tip if you don't want to spend the crazy amount of money for microwave food get there right before 9pm they won't harass you about paying the minimum for the food. Since by that time the waitress want to close accounts and go home. More...

Happened to be in Santa Clarita and popped into this joint to see X. It is exactly what you would expect from a supper-club type concert venue in a mall. Yes, the food was nothing special and the drinks were basic but the venue is excellent. I go to many concerts (2-3 per month) and the table layout here is weird but works! The sound is quite good from the middle of the room and sightlines to the stage are great. The GA arrangement is VERY strange and, I think, the main source of complaints. They permit SRO on the sides and near the bars without any clear limit to where people can stand (like a rail). So the crowds test the limits and the bouncers push back. I watched the bouncers all night and they did a very good job. Pro Tip: get a table in the middle of the back and you will have a great view and good sound. If you want to be very close and personal with the band, get a big table up front. Expect to spend $50-100 per person on food/drink and you won't be surprised or upset. If you expect to buy a GA ticket and push your way to the front, don't bother. More...

The Canyon Club is a great spot to hear some music, large space with lots of room to spread out! There is also a full service kitchen with a well rounded menu and prices are fair. Some nights the service is shoddy and to get a seat you have to get dinner but the staff is always friendly and the bartenders know how to make a good drink! I would give it a 5 except for the beams around the stage that block your view when buying the table seats. Which are the most expensive seats. Get rid of them damn beams please. Food was excellent and it's a very nice place. They automatically add a 20% tip and I heard people bitching about that. It's because of people like that it was probably implemented. That's my normal tip so no problem with me. Enjoyed myself and would highly recommend. More...

I had an exceptional time at Canyon Club watching Oingo Boingo!!!!  80's baby!  My bartender was fabulous, but man the drinks are steep!  My girls and I managed to snag a nice table, but other patrons would often stand right in front of our table blocking our view. They need to monitor that better. There should be a standing only section.  It's a far drive, so take a DD or just don't drink. More...

We attended the West Coast Academy Music Performance and we were so impressed with this venue!  The acoustics are amazing and the staff was top notch!  We ordered the ribeye (excellent) and the shrimp cocktail and would have ordered some cocktails but since I was driving had the basic iced tea.  Perhaps the prices may be a bit high but the ambience and service definitely make up for that!  We saw U2 last week at the Forum and to be honest, we had a better time at this venue with such talented artists performing and great food to accompany!  Now we want to make it out for more shows!  So happy to have this place in Valencia! Great concert music venue: can see major bands (from way back) close up. The food is excellent for a concert venue-- would be consider good  at a regular restaurant. Likewise with the service-- attentive if you consider how they have to rush before the music starts. There's a 20% service charge (plus tip). Not cheap, all told, but a good value. Particularly in that you don't have to travel into LA/Agoura for a concert! More...

Let's start with the bad and get that out of the way. The food is way overpriced and not very good at all!! I definitely recommend eating before you go.Now for the good. There is not a bad seat in the house. We were there early enough to move around and check out the different spots. We were off to the side and it was still awesome. Much better than sitting in nose bleed seats somewhere. The staff was amazing. Yes, it took a bit for the food but we were told that when ordering and they checked in with us regularly. I must say, Brie was incredible. When we did have a small issue, she was right on it and followed up to make sure everything was good. Overall, we loved our experience. It's a little far from us, so we probably won't be back right away, but I look forward to returning. More...

My wife and I planned for weeks to go to The Canyon on May 5th for the comedy show featuring Mark Eddy.  We got there right at 7pm because of our work.  I haven't paid $25.00 for a ticket for anything in a long time, but wanted to support the community and we like comedy over all entertainment.  We were also told that we were required to purchase food up to $25.00 each when we paid at the door.  We walked in with a comedian finishing his act by saying the crowd to his left and in front of him were a great crowd and pointing to stage right, saying that they weren't.  Not sure what he meant until we sat down at the table in the back.  Not a bad seat for getting there just when it was starting.  We were also more towards stage right and there was almost half of the audience talking and talking very loudly.  It was very difficult to hear the comics.  I was waiting for The Canyon to handle it.  With the chance of getting released from the venue, I really wanted to get up on stage and tell the crowd to go talk at the outside bar, but we sat and listened to the crowd talk while just watching the comedians..!!  We had a great server although he also didn't tell us about the extra service fee.  In fact, I found out about it on Yelp and then looked at my receipt and there it was.  We don't mind beer in a can so that didn't bother us.  We ordered 4 beers, two salads with no dressing and one baked potato with nothing on it and the bill came to $89.25 and with a $17.75 tip, we had a $151.00 night out listening to a crowd of people talk.  I briefly saw Mark Eddy after the comedy show, which was now filling up with more Boogie Nights people and he looked disappointed.  We asked to speak to a manager and a young guy about 20 to 23 years old came out.  He stated that the crowd was talking so much because they were there for Boogie Nights and not the comedy.  Hmmmmm,  why would The Canyon book two different types of entertainment at the same time and expect both parties to be happy?  It seems like the only happy patrons were the ones that got to visit with each other disregarding the comics.  I will go to another show there with comedians IF it is only comedians and I will get on stage and tell the disrespectful crowd to stop talking if The Canyons can't manage it on their own.  Santa Clarita has the people with the desire to be entertained, who ever taps that market correctly is the winner.  The Canyon has great potential and I am willing to brag about it, but they make it pretty difficult to do so.Updating the review:  We went to the show on May 27th. Mark Eddy was there doing his comedy and singing with an incredible band. Everything was great. It is such a nice facility and the waiters are quick to take the orders and bring the orders. I encourage everyone in SCV to at least visit it once with a venue of your interest and give an honest opinion. Also, if you have never seen a Mark Eddy show, we recommend it. You will be entertained. More...

We'll start this review at a 3 Star and change it up or down depending on the experience. The general admission tickets cost $24 dollars, but for two tickets the total cost was $86...nearly double the cost of the tickets! $11.75 is to Ticketmaster then there is a $5 fee for each ticket that goes to the venue, and then a processing fee. I'm really confused at this business model. Typically when you buy a ticket, the ticket price is the price you pay plus maybe a $4-$5 service charge for doing it through a vendor. Okay. But why does the venue have an additional charge beyond the ticket price? Stupid. I understand that when you're only open a few nights a week, you have higher prices to cover the costs, but when you have a liquor license and a kitchen, why not open for lunch and dinner on nights when you don't have acts?I'm curious to see how the service will be. Will update tonight...We had a fun time! No issues with service, drink prices weren't too bad, and the venue was great. More...

Malls are dying so their model is full open bars walk right up while shopping and they pour them very strong right when mall opens.  The club is separate area and very nice live performance venue that attracts major acts tuning up for tours.  Seating very limited so check website frequently major acts pop up one night only short notice.  Food is a little pricey but not bad.  The appetizers are the way to go as portions are generous.  Table waitress service during show and standing room only admissions but they have a number of wide couches and extra chairs.  Loud hard no BS music multiple styles from Ted Nugent to Stone Temple Pilots to softer vocal acts And modern country western.  Four locations now each holding cross of about 2,000.  Agoura hills is the largest location Valencia and Ontario are in malls.  Vegas and Beverly Hills are not bad but the crowds a more fun and less aloof at the other three.  Valencia in particular has unannounced celebrity appearances that come up on stage by invitation of the performing act, Johnny Dep recently at STP but he was three sheets to the wind and more comedian than musical. STP rocked the house, Oingo Boingo is must see in May everyone of the originals except for a new and really stellar vocalist The Dragon a better performer than Danny boy ever was .... he is a real Hollywood pos these days anyways good riddance Elster. I've only been to The Canyon twice since it opened. It's located in the mall and has a bar inside and outside the restaurant which is cool. The bathrooms are located outside the venue but it's always been easy to walk out and right back in with your wristbands. I like the decor and seating for this venue. The people have always been friendly when I'm there. The food was bar food which was ok when you just get there then after a few drinks you think it's awesome. The drinks we poured with a heavy hand which makes the cost worth it. I ordered a double vodka soda with grey goose and that was a COSTLY mistake. But the rest of the drinks and price seemed just about right. Both times I've been there it wasn't very full. There were a lot of empty seats which made it seem a bit boring at first but it's much, much better than being over-crowded with little room to dance. Either way I had a great time just with the people I was with each time I've been there dancing all night. I love the live music and will definitely keep coming back to all the fun nights they have planned!! More...
