My husband and I held our wedding reception in The Attic at Waterman’s and we could not have asked for a better experience and place. One of their Special Events Coordinator, Courtney W., was great to work with. She was attentive and prompt to all my inquiries and requests to stop by and see the space. She definitely made us comfortable with holding such an important event at their establishment. Waterman’s allowed us to hold our reception on a day where they had a huge event already planned, which we really appreciated. We had about 70 guests and were able to comfortably seat everyone for a delicious buffet dinner and still have reserved mingling space by the bar and a dancefloor. It was the perfect space for our reception. The space has panoramic views of the beach and ocean, which was beautiful to look at as the sun set and night time fell. The Attic gives a beach vibe with the dark wood and string lights, which was perfect for our beach themed reception. We liked that there were private bathrooms that didn’t allow our guests to go out into the restaurant and that the buffet tables were located in a separate room from the reception area. I'm so late in writing, but our reception of about 70 in total was absolutely perfect. We loved the food, service, and atmosphere of the Attic. Courtney G. was an absolute sweetheart, and answered every single question I had, as well as catered to my millions of requests. The event manager, Cyndey was wonderful, and helped keep the evening moving right along perfectly. I think 10 stars would be more appropriate for this fantastic restaurant, the friendly staff, gorgeous rustic banquet room, and the perfect location overlooking the beach! My Husband and I were not planning on having a wedding & reception - but then we met Courtney W. and saw The Attic at Waterman's and everything changed!
Our PERFECT & memorable reception was held on 10/22/16. There is really no combination of words to describe the quality of service, food, and atmosphere that Waterman's provides. From the minute we had an interest in The Attic, Courtney W. answered any and all of our questions, before even booking the space. She was beyond patient, kind, friendly, and fun! Even after we booked the space in The Attic, more than a year out from our date, Courtney was always checking in to see how our planning was going and how we were doing and asking if we needed anything. To say we have made a new friend is an understatement. Working with Courtney W. was wonderful and relaxed - she helped us so much in our reception planning. My Husband and I live in Tampa, but were married in VA Beach, and when we came to visit The Attic the week before our wedding, Courtney walked through everything with us (several times!) and even suggested a few different layouts for our reception that was not planned and they were happy to accommodate us for anything! Even a week out!! It was so much fun planning with Courtney - her excitement for us really helped us avoid any "pre-wedding stress"!
For the actual reception dinner - it was excellent, incredible, and delicious! The Waterman's team took excellent care of all of our guests and we are still receiving calls, texts, and emails about how wonderful it was and how much everyone enjoyed their time! If there is such thing as a perfect wedding reception, our reception in The Attic at Waterman's was it! From the food, the team, the atmosphere, THE VIEW, and the flexibility of menu & dietary needs - Waterman's, The Attic at Waterman's, and their entire team gets a TEN-STAR vote from us any day of the week!

I must start out by saying I'm a bride for the first time, at age 50! I didn't know what to do or what to expect during this process. Catalina Diaz is a true gem, to this business. I'm sure I had many questions and I know I asked them again and again, she was absolutely wonderful answering everything, with a smile! Our guests never had a negative thought, everyone enjoyed themselves! My final thought is this, if you are thinking of getting married here, do it because you just have to show up! Friday afternoon I, along with two others delivered flowers that required setting up and carrying lots of containers upstairs to the Attic at Waterman's. The service, assistance and kindness shown by each staff member was so great and shocking, because as a florist we usually get pointed to where we need to set up, so to have the staff greet us, taking boxes, containers, buckets, and flowers before we realized what was happening. They never acted like we were any inconvenience and Waterman's had nice lunch crowd at the same time. As we're setting up the Coordinator, Courtney came upstairs introduced herself and offered to assist and ask us if we needed anything and I wish I knew everyone's name because each one of you showed us compassion and excellent customer service. The Attic at Waterman's was the perfect venue for our son and daughter-in-law's Rehearsal Dinner! Everything was wonderful and the entire staff at Waterman's are amazing. Everyone we worked with especially Courtney Brough, and Catalina were so helpful through the entire experience, from our new initial tour of the venue and to the evening of our event, they could not have been more helpful. The Attic was a perfect space for our wedding reception of around 115 people, from the vaulted ceilings, perfect view, delicious food, and amazing staff!
