Booked the Octo room for daughter's sweet 16! Staff decorated with balloons and confetti before her arrival. The set up of the room is perfect for teens! Plenty of storage space for bags and each bunk set has phone chargers, lights and a little shelf. 2 showers and bathroom areas. Great use of space. Great little place to grab breakfast in the lobby! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Only thing we could have used was some help with luggage and wish I had known about the photo booth that was tucked in the corner!I had a separate standard room that was clean and comfy. Nothing over the top but did the job! The bartender at the cocktail bar was over the top with his drinks! They were amazing. We stayed at the Asbury Hotel over Thanksgiving. The staff was super accommodating. We brought our 1 year old and they had a crib for us to use. The room was super clean and really cool! I love the atmosphere at AH too. The decorations, textiles, artwork, etc was awesome!||||The food was great, reasonably priced. My husband and I had a cocktail at their bar before walking to dinner in town. ||||There was parking. Its a block from the board walk and beach. Across the street from lots to do! Natalie at the front desk went out of her way to give me the best experience possible. She was very sweet and welcoming. Her and I had a nice conversation about my travels and made friendly small talk. She made my stay here so much better than what my wife and I expected by going the extra mile to make me feel like a valued guest.She would be a reason I return to this hotel during my next trip to Asbury Park. My family wanted to recognize the exceptional hospitality we received while visiting the Asbury Hotel, along with the Asbury Lanes and Diner next store. Manager Robin Feinstein and her staff were an absolute delight....attentive and always with a warm smile. We also stayed at the Asbury Ocean Club across the street, which is their sister property, and once again....every single staff member treated us with authentic warmth and care. A very pleasant and positive experience. We booked directly through the hotel as we had a dog. Daniella was very friendly and gave us the best value to suite our needs. She recommended places to eat and things to do. She told us about Sunday evening live music which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lobby is very inviting and comfortable, bar on one end and little breakfast cafe on the other. Everyone we met from check in to check out was very friendly and professional. Hotel was in a perfect location...walk to the boardwalk, shops, restaurants, city sights and beach were a plus plus. Free parking! We did not book a water view room but had asked if it was a possibility to get one if it was free. Upon check in without asking again we got a room with a beautiful view of the water and the park. Comfortable king size bed, clean sheets, great shower, lots of views.The sunrise in the morning from the room was just perfect. Our dog was warmly greeted by all and given treats...he was happy! Stayed at The Asbury for the first time and was impressed with the excellent service at the front desk. Sami and Natalie were outstanding in assisting us with our requests - from a later check out to securing a small fridge for the room, these staff members took care of everything with efficiency and smiles. What impressed me the most was when another customer ahead of me in line had a miscue on his reservation and the team went above and beyond to help him with his issue. What could have been a really rough encounter was quickly diffused by the empathy and willingness to resolve the problem demonstrated by Sami and Natalie. My wife and I stayed at the Asbury Hotel on Sunday, October 27, 2019.||We love the place and stay here whenever we visit Asbury Park. ||Only a block from the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, the famous Wonderbar and Convention Hall, the location is perfect!||The rooms are very modern, clean and well maintained.||It has a pool, large sitting area, small but well stocked bar and they serve the very best pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches among other things at the breakfast bar.||The employees are ALL helpful, friendly and VERY thoughtful!||||Before our stay, I called the hotel to confirm our reservation and to let them know that we were attending our grandsons playoff football game that morning and may arrive earlier than anticipated. I was told it was not a problem and to call when we were a half hour out||The days weather was beyond miserable with high winds and pouring rain! When we finally arrived at the hotel drenched and cold, we were greeted with a big smile and a speedy check in. When the young woman behind the deck handed us our room key, she said that there was a little something there for our grandson. When we entered our room we found a sand pail filled with juice, candy and snacks, along with a note that read "To your grandson, Good luck in the playoffs!!".||That's the kind of thoughtful and considerate people that work there. ||If you should decide to stay at The Asbury Hotel, I hope your experience is as wonderful as ours. Nestled on the top floor of the Asbury Hotel is the fabulous, open air Salvation Rooftop Bar. It boasts a specialty cocktail menu with interesting combinations and reasonable prices ($12 for a martini). Both high top and couch seating is available. There’s a wonderful view of the beach two blocks away. Even in the summer heat, the temperature is comfortable because of the ocean breeze. I can't explain how great the staff is at this hotel. A huge thank you to Eddie at the front desk. I called at 5am on my fiance's birthday. Our house was flooded two days prior and we needed somewhere to stay. I was headed to work but he said he would take care of us. He set up a room full of balloons, streamers, champagne and a donut with a candle on it. He was able to let her check in early as she had no where to go. Throughout the night we were treated amazing, the staff at the front desk and at the bar went above and beyond to make my fiance's birthday special. My husband and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary this past Halloween and decided to stay at The Asbury after staying there back in April. My husband and I love Asbury Park, and being down the shore in the off season is so peaceful so it was an obvious choice. ||||I had mentioned in my booking that we were coming there to celebrate, and the accommodations that were made for us to help celebrate were AWESOME: we were blown away by the room we had and the champagne bottle was a nice touch. :) My husband and I got to go out and celebrate on Halloween, and then met up with some friends the following day for bowling at The Lanes. ||||The staff there is amazing, the food is great, and it’s a beautiful overall facility. We needed a local hotel to visit a local services provider and my wife found this hotel that was both pet friendly and close to the facility and nearby family. The Asbury fit the bill nicely. We fortunately got in a day before the Noreaster blew in and had some good walks about town. The hotel is nicely situated on a beautiful and well maintained commons area that is likely over 10 acres. This area was great for walking the dog and stretching our own legs. I note that there are also convenient trash cans for the deposits too. The hotel staff is so dog friendly that our 9 month old and well trained chocolate lab thought everyone was there for her. She quickly got in a habit of stopping by the front desk to get petted. The room, 431, was on the fourth floor and nicely quiet. There was plenty of room for the plush travel crate where our pup prefers to sleep and sleeps in at home. The room was nice, clean and kind of modern. The bathroom was well equipped and workable. The only thing that was strange in our room was the HVAC didn't respond to the wall control too well, but it wasn't worth contacting the front desk. The room had an ocean view which was appreciated, seeing the fishing boats returning to the nearby inlet. We do expect to stay here again, and fortunately will do so off season when the rates are less touristy. The staff deserves a special note as they were always helpful, enjoyed their jobs and being around other people. I liked their front desk being monitored 24 hours a day and the food available. They turn out a nice plate of food. We always tip the housecleaning staff and note that they do a great job here. It would be fun to be here in season too, or when there is an event going on. They did have Trivia night the first night we were there. The lobby seating was also excellent, a major cut above so many places today. The lobby gets used too. I have nothing to say but wonderful things about the staff and hotel. Everyone was super friendly and loving to our fur babies. They even had a bottle of champagne and card in our room because they knew it was our anniversary. Room was nice and clean. Bed comfortable. Enjoyed the music and trivia night they had. Lots of activities and food within walking distance. ||If I was to change one thing... I personally like a coffee pot and microwave in hotel rooms (which wasn't available) however they did provide a mini fridge which was nice. Coffee is available downstairs also, however not quite the same as a full pot in your room in AM. :) ||Overall wonderful stay in Asbury. It is hard to find pet friendly hotels for 2 large dogs, so I give them 5 stars just for that. Great place! More...
