If you're looking for a restaurant with amazing south Asian cuisine along with other varieties, then look no further. Teton elmwood is amazing in most angles. The food is amazing. Every single dish they service is done amazingly well along with the fact that they have huge parking space. The food is almost as authentic as it can get unless you're going to a more authentic restaurant. The spice levels are balanced and the ingredients actually feel fresh unlike many other places where you can tell that they just microwaved the food. Definitely has my vote of confidence. More...

I come here often and always have a great night! The food is outstanding and I've tried a few menu items so far. Drinks are fun and affordable! Atmosphere is cute and classy yet right off Allen. There's DJs on the weekend (shout out to Scafetta!) that gives the place the best weekend vibes. I recommend :) More...

This place has really good food! Went on a Thursday night and ate amigos sushi roll. Very tasty, lightly fried. Also had the tofu pad thai! It was delicious. The tofu was crispy, and went well with pad thai. Cool, little spot they have late night happy hour. Decent drink specials. And house saki was pretty good. This was my first time, I'd definitely recommend to friends. More...

This restaurant is so cozy and has delicious rolls! Service was very fast and courteous. We were disappointed with the quality of the sashimi - size of portions was great, the fish itself not what we are used to receiving for white tuna and fatty tuna. The yellowtail sashimi was quite tasty as were all of the rolls we ordered - rainbow, hello, black dragon, and mango crab. The rolls were large portions for a good price. Overall we really liked this restaurant but would order more rolls and less sashimi next time! More...

Tried out Teton last night with my boyfriend. We'd been to that location when it was the last restaurant - a peruvian joint. I really like how they've redone the decor inside. It's even better when the weather is nice because they have a great patio out front you can sit, drink, and play games on. The menu is pretty extensive and typical to most Japanese places I've been. We started with the edamame (very salty but delicious and only $4) and 2 bowls of miso soup. We both thought the miso was one of the best we'd ever had (and for $2.50 you can't beat it!). We also split the steamed pork dumplings that came with a delicious Chile sauce and the pineapple fried rice with chicken which was a large portion and very good. We could have stopped there because we were both full but we had ordered a green dragon special sushi roll that took some time to come out because they were backed up with sushi orders. I'm glad we were able to eat it though because it was quite good even though we weren't hungry anymore. We each got a glass of wine and our bill totalled $75 - not bad for a dinner downtown but not cheap either. Not sure I'll be back but if I'm ever in the area craving Japanese I'd try some new things on the menu for sure. More...

Saturday December 28 2019. My first try at fugu! I've heard of this fish for years but, I never had the chance to try it and don't know what to expect. The puffer fish is known to be poisonous and if not cut correctly Dangerous if not fatal! I have faith that it will be an extraordinary experience. If I don't finish this review...anyway. I started off with spicy scallop, eel and toro(tuna) sushi. The fugu comes with a miso soup with the bones from the fugu in the broth. (If i understood correctly). Miso soup was good warm and nourishing.  The sushi was great the freshest uni I have ever tasted. The rest of the sushi was just as good but, when the uni is that fresh it makes it worth it. The scallop kimchi was also good, very spicy as I requested. It didn't hurt me they're kind in the kitchen. I'm waiting for the Fugu it's coming from their other restaurant in Cheektowaga. I did get a complimentary sake thanks Yelp. I also enjoyed a Big Ditch IPA that complimented the kimchi rice well. Time for the fugu...well...about a dozen chilled slices of fish with accompanying white rice thin cut scallion finely minced daikon radish and a ponzu type of sauce. I found the fugu to be fresh chilled and chewy. I'm not trying to put it down it isn't rubbery like octopus but, it wasn't like most sashimi I've experienced in the past. I can now say I have tried it. If I was given the chance to try it again I would definitely consume it. However,I wouldn't go out of my way to find it as it wasn't a cheap dish. More...

My husband and I just left this wonderful place! It is Christmas Day 2019. We were greeted swiftly upon arrival, and took a seat at the bar. We each had a beer on tap- nice selection here. The actual sushi was fantastic and speedy! I took off a star because the edamame was so incredibly over cooked the shells basically turned to mush. Other than that. What a fun place to go! More...

After being here earlier in the week (and falling in love with the place!)  I just knew that when making dinner plans with friends for Friday I just had to suggest Teton.  One friend had never had Thai or Japanese food before (how is that possible ) But was willing to try and the other was on board immediately.  My friend who had never had the food was nervous about getting anything that might be too spicey.  She ordered miso soup and shrimp tempura.  She absolutely loved the tempura along with the dipping sauce! So much that she said she wanted to come back and try something more daring. My other friend got I think pan saute chicken with ginger sauce and also commented on how good it was.  I ordered the tom yum soup and the eel and avocado roll. The soup was full of fresh crispy veggies and the most delicious broth.  The avocado on the sushi was perfectly creamy and matched perfectly with the eel and the crunch of the cucumber.  Shortly after being seated Taka came over to say hello and welcomed me back. Kinda like a homecoming, always makes you feel good.  Our server was extremely nice and patient as we made our way through studying the menu.  Can't wait to go back to try the many many other inviting items on the menu. Visited this location for the first time this past weekend and was most impressed!Joining Colter Bay in the 'downtown restaurants-with-Wyoming-themed-names category,' Teton's Elmwood location is housed where Pasion (an old favorite that didn't last long enough) used to be. We were early, and the first in for dinner this oast Saturday evening at around 5 p.m. We were quickly taken care of and didn't have to wait long at all for drinks or food. The interior is bright, colorful and well decorated. Upon first glance at the menu, you may notice some humorous names for items, such as the "Cheatriots," or the "Big Guy Al."Before even looking at food, they offer an extensive and creative cocktail menu. I got the most colorful option they offered. Later on, I also had a Kona Hawaiian beer. Further, they even have a large amount of different Sakes to choose from - if that's your thing. We went with the Rocket Shrimp appetizer, Japanese Yaki Udon, and Yakisoba for entrees. All of the food was delicious and satisfying. Will definitely be back again - hopefully soon! More...

One of the best spots in Buffalo

What a refreshingly, tasty experience at Teton Kitchen. I was greeted with a smile by the host, and seated at my table. When you first walk in, to your left is the chef preparing fresh sushi at the sushi bar, and straight ahead is the actual bar with a ton of drink options to choose from: beer, wine, spirits and yes - they have an excellent variety of imported Saki (that average about $11 per bottle). Such a cool mix of The classic Allentown vibe and traditional Japanese culture, this place has an amazing atmosphere. Quaint enough to enjoy a nice mid-week lunch alone as I did, but intimate enough for a nice date night or even a group of friends can enjoy and appreciate this tucked away Elmwood village hot spot. I started off with a glass of water (debating rather or not to have a shot of Saki), while deciding on what to chow down on. I'm somewhat indecisive when it comes to choosing food, but my goodness, this was quite the task for sure - only because EVERYTHING on the menu sounded so appetizing. I decided on two appetizers, and some sushi. I decided that I should try something new, since I had their sushi Taco prior, at a Yelp event. I opted for the Fried Oysters and Fried Vegetable Dumplings. For the sushi, I chose the Red Dragon (tuna). First, I was given a bowl of miso soup - a great way to start off what was to be a night of great fthe sushi came out and it was beautifully displayed along with my side of avocado. I also asked for wasabi mayo versus the siracha it's usually topped with, and they gladly accommodated my request. The freshness of the sushi was impressive and the taste was even better. This is by far the best sushi I've had in Buffalo! Even the ginger and wasabi was very high quality. I tried to eat slowly, but it was just so good I was almost halfway done by the time my other dishes arrived. Soon after the sushi, my fried oyster arrived. Named Kaki Fry on the menu, this appetizer consists 7 large pieces of succulent oysters, that were fried perfectly to a golden hue. They were paired with this aioli that was a great match. After these, I was most certainly close to full ... and then BAM! Here comes these beautiful, green, bite size edibles that were calling my name -- how could I not?! The dumplings were visual appetizing, but once I sunk my teeth into this scrumptious bite - I was in heaven. The dumplings were paired with this sweet yet spicy, eel sauce that was to die for! (I would ask for a side of that to use in my rice versus soy sauce, on my next visit) - most definitely a highlight on my evening. A well deserved 5 stars! Complements to the chef, as well as the staff for such great service.****They have the best saki! Around town More...

Teton is the best name in Japanese food in Buffalo. Hands down. I haven't really eaten Japanese food anywhere else and I honestly don't need to. What can I say? Their sushi is always absolutely top-notch, the Pad Thai is fantastic, the soup is delicious, their squid is divine. I've tried all sorts of things off of Teton's menu through the course of various visits and I can safely say I have never been disappointed. Actually, I should say I've never not been blown away by how good the food is here. It's always delicious. I really like how they have a good variety of food here, not just like your typical sushi and dishes. There are a ton of unique options on the menu, and just reading it you can tell that they really did a good job at integrating a little bit of Buffalo culture into authentic Japanese cuisine. If you manage to catch the owner Taka here, he is an absolute delight. The staff in general are always very fantastic, and they do a great job of making sure your dining experience is satisfying. They just started hosting live music here on weekends, and being right around the corner from the Allen strip, this spot should absolutely be a go-to in no time. I can't wait to crave sushi again, you know where I'll be! More...

Ever since a mild renovation (because a car apparently hit the side of the restaurant), Teton on Dick Rd has been much more comfortable.  It was time for a new review since we previously ventured to their new location on Elmwood and wanted to come back to see if the original location was still as good as before. We had a very big celebratory meal which included the chef's choice sushi boat (assorted sushi and sashmi - still the best!), salmon sashimi, korean short ribs (a smaller than expect portion), and an assorted tempura plate which was the least favorite thanks to a heavy-handed batter that was not at all what Japanese tempura should be.Service was very good and attentive. Our server mentioned that a third Teton location is being planned.  If they can keep up the quality of their Japanese-Thai menu, this sounds like a great idea for foodies in the BN area. More...

Attending the YELP Touchdowns and/Tonkatsu at the Teton Restaurant on Elmwood Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Great time attending this event. Good food, good drink and good time. Starting out with 42 Porter a delicious dark brew. Watching the Buffalo Bills game against the Miami Dolphins I became a bit hungry I had to try the sushi. Two nigiri of mackerel, two of eel and two of spicy scallop and fish eggs all were excellent. Also the Bills are winning and as a bonus every touchdown we have a sake shot. So, the fun is happening Bill's are winning beer is flowing. Jenga is being enjoyed by some. The dinner was a pork curry dish called katsu along with fried rice. This I enjoyed a thin slice of pork fried with a side of curry sauce that had a little bit of onion and carrot in the sauce. Creamy spicy but not hot as far as spiciness goes. I had to save the best for last though. The teriyaki wings were extraordinary the sauce was sweet salty and hot. They were very spicy hot and I will definitely return even just for them and a beer. The restaurant was clean the door opens to the bar I didn't count the chairs but estimate from 10-15. Good selection of local craft beer. More...
