What kind of accounting services do you provide?
QuickBooks support, payroll preparation, monthly or quarterly financial statements and consultation for a fixed fee, tax, financial and estate planning, Sales, payroll and income tax preparation, Reviews, Audits, and business planning and consultation, comparisons of Life, Health and Investment products, and we can handle portfolios for those looking for an investment professional, assistance with valuations. We try to be a "one stop shop" for small to mid-size businesses and professionals.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
It is important to have someone help plan and monitor your progress. The larger your business becomes the harder it is to see how you are doing without help. Proper planning can help you avoid running out of cash when your business is growing rapidly and to be in your corner when dealing with banks, insurance companies and of course the IRS and state tax agencies. There are many traps for the unaware that can put you out of business even when you are doing well. You also gain allot of respect by showing that you realize you need an accountant.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy helping people resolve planning issues such as what type of entity to use, things to watch out for in partnerships and saving people money by knowing what can be done. It makes a BIG difference to know what is allowed and what isn't, and what type of agreements you should have with partners, employees and others to protect your business.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to be able to help people including some that might not be able to pay the full rate at first, and to be able to keep the integrity and direction of where I worked under my control. My experience with watching others work for others or in partnerships showed me it was important to have good agreements because they rarely worked long term. I also wanted to be able to hire and keep the best employees, recognizing that they aren't all the same and that they make or break your business

We treat clients as well or better than anyone. We have numerous clients that have been with us for 20, 30 or more years and our employ
ees have been here for 20 - 35 years. When we have occasionally lost a client, they usually come back because they realize how much we care.
