While I haven't visited the brick and mortar (yet), Taqueria Reynoso catered my wedding reception. Let me just say, they are AMAZING! With everything being provided from chips and guacamole to salsa to taco sides, the food was amazing. Also, I'm still dreaming about their quesadillas. Thank you yelp friends for your honest reviews, it place is hella legit. I went here the other day with my coworker and we both ordered the barbacoa crispy tacos (WITH CHEESE) and loved it. It was greasy, flavorful and just what I was looking for. I also ordered the fiancé an al pastor burrito which he ate later that night and have it an 8 out of 10. I spoke to the cashier lady and she recommended a bunch of other things like the 3 color burrito, the pollo dish, sopas and the Tortas. So I definitely want to come back to try more dishes. More...

Best spot for fried tacos I've had so far. I always get the tacos dorados (barbacoa) and I add cheese in between the two shells. There's certainly NO shortage of meat on these so if you're a normal "3 taco-eater" bring that down to two. They are fried with just the right amount of grease and served up with a healthy pile of lightly grilled white onion. My fav. Try adding their chipotle cream salsa on top. Drool. They do have taco Tuesday in case you're looking for a real bargain (but I'd pay full price every time if it came to it). Horchata is also amazing. Regular tacos are also great (boyfriend continuously orders carne asada tacos). Spot can be a little sketch at random times but eh, I don't think it's anything anyone can't handle. Taqueria Reynoso was recommended to me by the staff at Unity Council as a reliable and efficient establishment.  They were right!  From the moment I interacted with Veronica, I knew that everything would turn out fantastic.  She has excellent customer service skills - ensuring that my order was right, submitting invoices on time and taking care of all my many questions.  On the day of Brian and Jaime arrived on time, set up and served delicious tacos, rice, beans, quesadillas, and a delicious Jamaica agua fresca!  They left the area clean as if they had never been there.  I would highly recommend them for any fiesta! This is a gem in the hood. Carne asada fries and tacos delicious, but parking is horrible. TIP park across the street at walgreens, haven't got towed yet; but they can tow your car. Park at your own risk. My friend got their carne asada tacos and rally loved it said 10/10 based on flavor, quality and saucy. Carne asada fries 8/10 when you get it ask them to serve it on a plate because they put it on too of the paper with the heat and sauce it rips through the paper. More...

This is my go-to taqueria especially since I'm always in the neighborhood. I typically come once a week and Francheska or James is usually there to take my order, and they are the ABSOLUTE sweetest! They may be young, but their work ethic & professionalism are better than older folks I've come across in other restaurants - and it is always easy to strike up a conversation with them each time I come in. Whenever I'm on my way to the restaurant, I secretly wish that either of them are working haha. Just remember that kindness goes a long way - & that goes both ways! So if you're a customer with a nasty atittude from the get-go, don't expect any server from any restaurant to bend over backwards for you. Francheska & James (& all the other newbies I've come across) - keep doing your thang & providing great service! Back to the food - I usually only order the tacos or super burritos, and they are always consistent. I've never found them to ever skimp out on the meat, so that's always good. Some days I want to minimize my carbs so I order a burrito with no rice & no tortilla, add lettuce - and they never make a fuss about it. I will say that if you're ordering tacos to-go, try to make sure your whole order is there before you leave the restaurant. I've been coming consistently for the past 2.5 years & there were two separate occasions where I was missing a taco (and yes, I check my receipts & I paid for this taco). Also my order has been shipped entirely once before. I assume this is just human error where the cook just misreads the order, so it was no biggie for me especially since this rarely happens. This is the spot for authentic / delicious Mexican food! A little family owned business on a busy street located on the right hand side. This is my first time here and I am impressed. Ive ordered steak fries with guacamole on the side and my friend had ordered the three color burrito. Open salsa bar located on the right hand side as entering the restaurant. Pretty spacious with plenty of seatings on the inside. Horchata was refreshing. Not overwhelming with cinnamon like other places. It was just right for this warm weather. Steak fries was amazing! They use fresh tomatoes, white cheese, sour cream, and diced onions with juicy meat. Bomb dot com! 9$ for this greatness! Pollo a la Parrilla tacos were delicious - love all the fresh/homemade salsas. I was happy to note the tortillas appeared to be homemade. Seasoning was spot on and the spicy salsa actually had some good heat! The atmosphere just needs a little updating- maybe a clearer sign that wasn't so high up. This place could be a more fun spot to eat at with a bit more thought towards atmosphere- a paint job would make a big impact! If you need a taquero this is the place to go.  Best tacos great employees.  My guests could not stop eating they are so good.  They bring everything you need for tacos and also make quesadillas and nachos . They also bring an agua fresca of your choice and they have great prices. Muyyy sabrosaaa!Needed a taco fix for cinco de Mayo..... was looking for my usual taco trucks in lil Fruitvale and of course the elote cart, but unfortunately they were not around. Stumbled upon Taqueria Reynoso and was not let down. Not the absolute best, but not bad. The wait for the food was a tad long at 33 minutes and the little restaurant wasn't that busy. Seating is a bit limited and restaurant could use some updating. I was digging the salsa bar, who doesn't appreciate that? Equipped with chips, limes, radish etc.Ordered a pupusa con frijoles Fritas y queso, un taco de camarones, y dos tacos de asada. (Bean and cheese pupusa, shrimp taco and beef tacos). Con todo of course. Oh and you can't forget the corona to wash it all down. All in all you can't beat tacos for $1.85 each that is even cheaper than the taco trucks. I visited for lunch on a Saturday with time to kill and a taste for Cali mex food.Although there is no dedicated parking, it was easy to park a block away on a nearby residential street. The place was small and not particularly busy. I will mention that the screens used for the menu board are placed awkwardly high for the shallow, cramped layout of the restaurant.I ordered the chicken enchiladas to-go which came with rice, beans, and a side salad. The red enchilada sauce was fine (maybe a hint of tartness), but the clear star here is the meat. The chicken was flavorful, and you can definitely tell that it is freshly prepared. Rice was rather bland.Portions were respectable for the given price; don't expect a giant food mountain like some other places. The salad came in a separate small plate wrapped in plastic with a separate thing for the creama dressing. SERVICE:Very hospitable and friendly.FOOD:1) Nacho Fries: I'm from San Diego and lately I've been on the hunt for carne asada fries in Oakland. Taqueria Reynoso was the only taco shop that popped up in my search and they did not disappoint. Size-wise, the fries were thicker than what I'm used to, but the overall taste was great -- tasted just like home! If they added more cheese and a little more meat, then the fries would be perfect.2) Tacos de Barbacoa: I never had a taco like this. The barbacoa was tender and juicy, and it had a great complexity of flavors. The tortilla was perfectly fried -- crispy, but still bendable.3) Tacos Al Pastor: The al pastor was sweet and succulent.4) Carne Asada Tacos: The carne asada was perfectly cooked and not overly salted.5) Shrimp Tacos: The shrimp was so succulent and deliciously seasoned.  It paired well with the creamy chipotle sauce from the salsa bar.6) Fish Tacos: The fish was cubed and pan-fried rather than battered and deep-fried, which is different from the fish tacos I've came across before. Aside from that, it was tasty -- especially with the creamy chipotle sauce -- and perfectly cooked.7) Horchata: Best horchata I've ever had, hands down. Damn, their tacos dorado are what you want to order. I went with the barbacoa, but am looking forward trying them with other meats. The tortillas are fried, but still bendable, which is something that I like. I also got the Tongo taco, which is kinda like a big taco filled with what you normally find in a burrito - rice, beans, meat, etc. They would even be delicious without the meat, for you veggie people. They also have a great salsa bar. Service is friendly and they have booths, but you order at the counter first. All you can eat chips with all different types of salsa! Very fresh ingredients! I got the crispy beef and spicy pork tacos because they ran out of the spicy beef stew crispy tacos but don't worry I'll be coming back to try them! We got there on Sunday at 1:30pm and they ran out! They must be good! My husband got the burrito. I recommend to eat it with salsa because there is not sour cream or guacamole. But probably health for you! Next time he's gonna get the wet burrito! The taco competition is pretty fierce around Fruitvale, but Reynosa delivers the goods.Their crispy barbacoa tacos (the tortilla is fried crunchy) is a wonder of rich meat, corn and salsa. I absolutely love Taqueria Reynoso! I've never had a crunchy taco done so well and showcasing the main meat you order! We came here just for the Barbacoa Tacos but, now I just want to come back to try everything they have to offer. This family-owned Tex-Mex style taqueria just does Tex-Mex super well with attractive prices and an environment that is familiar.The service is fast, the food is good, and they have a salsa bar that has a wide selection of different tastes to please everyone.Food review:I got the Crunchy Barbacoa Taco (3 of them). The Barbacoa was cooked perfectly. The meat was tender and vibrant with flavors that made up the base of this dish. The torillas are fried to perfection with it's exposed layers being oily, well textured, and crispy and the in-between layers chewy and soft. Been dying to try this place out since their instagram page followed me on Instagram lol. They looked really good. I always go get Mexican Bread in the Fruitvale area and what do you know this place moved in literally 2 spaces next door. I didn't know, so i was exciting seeing them and decided to go in and check them out.They were packed! 2 people waiting in line, 1 waiting on their order togo and all their booths were full! So that was a good sign already.It is a really small place, but nice set up!! Huge variety of salsas. No soda machine! Only bottle or can, beer & agua frescas. (The micheladas looked bomb!!!!) I didn't like how when i was up to order the kid working didn't even get greet me, he just says "what do you want today" I said okay... can i get 2 tacos asada. Then another kid walks up and starts asking where a burrito goes and the kid just turns and is like i don't know, let me look.. and they kinda start talking to each other, it literally took like 2 minutes and they finally figured it out.We paid. $11.30 didn't seem bad for 4 tacos, but what i found crazy was.. my regular 2 tacos asada with everything were $3.30. My moms 2 hard tacos with only meat and salsa were $6.30. So I know next time to just get all regular tacos, better for the price.So we wait about 15 minutes, our food was togo. We get to the car. The salsa wasn't spicy luckily i got extra salsa from the bar and it gave it more spice.I had very high expectations about this place, but they weren't met with the customer service. This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Oakland! The tacos dorados de barbacoa from this restaurant are delicious. They're shredded beef, lightly fried tacos with cilantro, onions and salsa on top, accompanied by grilled onions and jalapeños on the side. They're so good and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to try something outside of regular tacos! The service was also great. I was on my lunch break and I was served promptly. The food and service is great here. I had the taco plate with cabeza tacos, the meat was really tender and had that cabeza flavor, I don't know how to explain it but it tastes a little beefy which is what I want when I order cabeza. Salsa is key... in my opinion that is. Tacos are really hard to mess up.. you get some good meat put that on warm tortilla and then add the your toppings, the most important one being the salsa! This place has not one, or two, seriously not three... but six!!! Six tasty, authentic, amazing salsas ranging in flavor and heat. I couldn't pick my fav so I got 2 containers of each! There condiment buffet included all the regular items your used to getting at a Taco Shop, with the addition of roasted green chili's and onions, and FREE chips! Seriously I filled up to brown lunch bags and they offered me a big plastic bag to carry them. The tacos were as delicious as they smelled! The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy.
