Still not reopened so call before you go. Don't let this ward you off though when they do reopen.Delicious bread and hoagies--hope new owners are to the same standard! Please update your Google page though so that you don't scare off future customers as it says on Google you're open when infact you're still closed for renovations. Thanks!!Long term customer. More...

This was the only true good Austin bakery IMHO and now it is gone. I am having trouble accepting this fact and am not sure what cake i'll have to get this year for my birthday. Sadness.

Had our wedding cake made here, it was a huge hit and the entire thing was gobbled up that night. They offer a fresh topper cake on your 1 year anniversary so you don't have to eat frozen year old cake. So lovely!

Nice selection of cakes, other sweets and deli food offered here. The cake I bought, Prinz Tom Torte was dry and just ok. Would go back again to try others as service there was nice.

You can design a beautiful cake, draw it out on paper, take it in there and they'll make it happen and do it with fabulous flavors. Normally fondant is tasteless but theirs is delicious. If you do a double tiered cake you can mix and match the flavors. Attaching pictures of the ones they've done so far which was my daughter's baby shower cake followed by her daughter's first and second birthday cakes. They tasted as beautiful as they looked and the baby shower cake was the cupcake one exactly the way I drew it. More...

My first time at the eatery. At first we were wandering if someone was going to assist and this this young man name Moses greeted us. He was simply amazing and made our lunch a memorable experience. Suggested foods, what was his favorite asked our names and so forth. Would definitely recommend and return again when in Austin. Thank you! More...

A great little bakery we found by accident. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly. I recommend "Pain aux Raisins" and a cappuccino.

Good place for lunch, especially if you can make it in before or after the crowd. Nice selection for those trying to eat relatively healthy. Excellent coffee.

Best chicken salad ever. Good soups and cookies too. Great atmosphere, although it can get loud during peak times.

There used to be a second location in our office building. We all ate there several days a week for 10 years and never tired of it. We visit the original 6th street location now and it is still wonderful. More...

Gem in West downtown, and one of the best bakeries in Austin. Pastries and cakes are to die for. Service is always polite and quick and it always feels like a cute little old fashion bakery.
Parking can be hard to find on 6th St but they have a lot in the back that has plenty of room.
Just be sure to get there early to get a good selection of breakfast treats, they sell out!

The best bakery in Austin! A celebrated bakery/ Cafe as it's been in Austin over 40 years. Amazing pastries ,cakes and cookies. You can stop in for a quick soup and sandwich or stay for a daily special with a latte and finish your homework with the free WiFi. I love the quaint neighborhood atmosphere. Plus there's plenty of free on site parking. Check it out. More...

The savory treats and sweets are delicious but get there early to get your pick of the best items. Inside is no frills. Good place to meet with someone for a casual meeting.
They have a few parking spots and there is generally street parking available if theirs are all taken. One of the better bakeries in Austin imo.
NOT one of the better coffee shops though. Don't go for the coffee, not that it's bad, just nothing to write home about.
