My husband had run out of prescribed PT sessions and was unable to continue the excercises on his own.
Swamp Fitness has been a tremendous resource and support, helping him keep moving and retain his physical functionality.
His trainer does a fantastic job working around his limitations and I am so happy we found Swamp Fitness.

Swamp Fitness helped me immensely.  I was able to be connected with one of the best trainers I've ever met in my life, Quentin, and start establishing a better and healthier lifestyle. I've recently moved away from Gainesville, but I'm going to take the lessons and exercise routines, that Jared and Quentin helped me establish, back with me to Chicago.I gained a much better understanding of how different foods make my body feel, along with better body awareness, and an increased amount of strength that has helped my energy level and overall ability to work hard and attend industry events without feeling exhausted.I still have a long way to go, but Swamp Fitness really helped me get started on my path, begin to make losses in weight and gains in strength, and ultimately start me on my journey to better personal health.I'm still down 50 lbs and 6 inches on my waist, just gotta keep going!  Thanks Jared, Quentin, Brittany, and the rest of the Swamp Fitness family. Making the decision to contact Swamp Fitness has by far been the best decision I've made regarding my health and fitness. Jarred and the team have been tremendous to work with ! They really take the time out to understand what your goals are and the best/healthiest way to helping you achieve them. Having no previous experience with personal training, I was a bit hesitant at first to try this new experience. I can say now that I'm beyond glad that I decided to go through with it! The team really takes the time out to ensure that I'm understanding everything that's going on, especially if it's something that I'm unfamiliar with like a new workout or nutrition info. Everyone here is dedicated to seeing you reach your full potential, and they're ready to give you the tools to succeed. My trainer Jean has been a huge influence on my everyday life and helps me to make healthy choices across the board and understand the reason for making them. Swamp fitness got me back on track without making me broke (physically and financially lol). At first I was unsure about reaching out to them because I thought they only did at home workouts and I wanted a gym with air conditioning, and weights. I was wrong. The trainers have gym passes so they can take you to a gym near your home, or they will meet with you at different fun locations throughout gainesville (like the football stadium or a park), or they will come to your home. They bring everything you'd need if you're meeting outside of a gym. As a person that likes to lift weights and hates cardio, I can honestly say that I never felt like my workout wasn't hard enough. Even when we were working out at a park or a house. Jarred manages the business end and sets you up with your trainer. He is so knowledgeable, nice, understanding and motivational.  What I love about their system is how there are sooo many different trainers with amazing qualifications. Like trainers with physical therapist backgrounds, and degrees in what they're doing. Not just random college students that picked up a few workout certificates and like to workout so they decided to become a trainer.  Also, if you trainer goes on vacation or you want a different workout style Jarred can team you up with another trainer that's equally as qualified.I have a horrible back and neck, one leg that's shorter than the other, knee issues, and trouble regulating my heart rate and I dropped ten pounds without once feeling any pain, which has been veryyyy difficult for me because those last few pounds are always the hardest to loose!! I started with Swamp Fitness in November 2017 and what an incredible expierence I had!  I met with Jared a week before my workouts started and went over some of my goals and asked me what I wanted out of the program.  Jared then customized a workout that fit my goals and that also fit around my hectic schedule.What was also incredible was he showed me stuff that I could do at my house so when I left Swamp Fitness in February 2018, I was equipped with the knowledge to continue with those purposeful work outs.  I highly recommend Swamp Fitness! I started with Swamp Fitness in September 2017, the concept of having someone traveling to me to workout was perfect for me.  I was doing zero working out back then, I just knew I needed help and that I needed to do something for myself and my health. I wanted to be able to workout at home so the workout routines I do don't always involve taking a trip to the gym, hence when I travel I have no excuse not to exercise. Let me say that it has worked wonders for me. I like that I can exercise at home, that my trainer builds on and challenges me to new workouts and techniques as I get better and stronger. Since I've joined I've lost 45 lbs and I couldn't be happier. If you're like me and sometimes you just need an extra push to start or you can't get yourself to the gym, I think Swamp Fitness is definitely for you. Definitely give them a try! Over the past two months I have had an excellent experience with Swamp Fitness. Jarred is a thorough professional and really cares about your goals, and your progress over time. He worked with me to create a solid plan based on my fitness goals and kept motivating me to achieve them over time. My trainer, Quentin, did a fantastic job and guided me in performing exercises with the right technique, form and intensity. He was well organized and gave me handouts of everything we had worked on over time. In addition to the workouts, I got a lot of guidance from Jarred and Quentin in maintaining a healthy diet which complemented my fitness goals. Overall, I highly recommend Swamp Fitness to anybody who wants to take their fitness/lifestyle to another level. Life changing!!!For 5 years I was unable to properly swallow food. At first it was just breads and meat, by February 2014 I had lost 35 pounds and had trouble swallowing even water. After years of wrong diagnoses, I was finally diagnosed with Achalasia; an esophageal motility disorder causing the esophagus to permanently constrictresulting in painful and ineffective swallowing. There is no cure, but there are surgeries available to improve one's quality of life. In May 2015, I underwent an experimental procedure that involved cutting 13 cm of my esophagus muscle. The procedure was a success and after 6 weeks of a liquid diet, I was finally able to swallow again. A year went by and I gained all the weight I had lost prior to surgery and more. While I was extremely grateful for being able to eat again, the combination of a new esophagus, school, and work started to take a toll on my body. Portion control alone was not effective in getting back into shape. Finally, in May 2015, I made the life altering decision of hiring a personal trainer. Being a full time student and nurse, I had many limitations to starting a workout regime. I needed something affordable and accessible. I also had many restrictions to the kind of exercise I was allowed to do post-operatively, so I needed a trainer who would cater to my personal situation.Like an answered prayer, I stumbled upon the Swamp Fitness facebook page. After a prompt response to my call, I was set up for a free consultation with Jarred Mussen and Amber Pope; a trainer he thought would be a perfect fit for me. It turns out that Jarred hasincredible intuition for client needs and I could have not asked for a more perfect trainer than Amber. Like myself, she is a nurse and has immense knowledge of the human body and personal fitness. She works with my crazy schedule meeting me wherever is convenient for me whether it be my house, a park, the stadium, or my gym. She can turn any environment into a killer workout arena. Never having worked out before, she worked gradually with me to ensure I was pushed but not strained past my emotionally/physical ability. Beyond her professional excellence, she has become one of my dearest friends motivating me on physical, emotionally, and spiritual levels to make sure I acquire comprehensive TOTAL BODY improvements. As of now, I have been working with Swamp Fitness 2x/week for a year and a half. I am stronger, happier, and more confident than I have ever been. More importantly, I have learned to incorporate fitness into my crazy schedule; learning that I'm never too busy to give my body the time it deserves. Never having worked out a day in my life, I can now run, do push-ups, squat like a beast, and much more. Additionally, I find myself motivating those around me to exercise even starting a small workout group in the hospital for ICU nurses. Beyond the immense personal fulfillment I have attained, my progress has been recognized by friends/acquaintances. I never get tired of hearing "You look soooogood, what's your secret?"Yes, illness can shake up your world.  But swamp fitness has taught me to turn tragedy into strength, circumstance into action, and pain into power.
