Wen't to Bimmerfest a couple weekends ago and Street Kitchen was one of the food trucks there. A few menu items caught my eye, which ended up persuading me to wait in line to get some food. The line was long, but this place had a great menu. I was stuck between a wrap and a grilled cheese. I ended up going with the veggie potato grilled cheese and it was AMAZING. It was exactly what my taste buds were looking for! The potatoes and avocado added more creaminess to the melted sharp cheddar. I finished the entire thing and wished I could have gone back for more but was completely stuffed. It was the perfect size to not leave me feeling slow and glutinous. We also go the parmesan garlic fries, those were ok but might not get them again. The garlic wasn't much a heavy flavor, and it lacked seasoning like salt. I'd definitely go back to try more food though, because that grilled cheese was killer. We also got our food fairly quickly which was nice because we were starving. I thought it would take longer because of how long the line was constantly. But we got our food way before my friend got hers from another food truck. More...

Tried the Street Kitchen Food Truck for the first time on Sunday in Long Beach with no line as they just opened and it was absolutely delicious. I wanted to try the pork belly grilled cheese sandwich but they were out of pork belly and suggested the pulled pork grilled cheese but I opted for the filet mignon quesadilla instead. It did not disappoint. I waited about five minutes and boom it was ready. Good in size and height the filet mignon was chopped in a cube shape. It was cooked well and tasted fresh with the oozing cheese. Service was great as well. More...

Listen guys. Listen. The first time I had this fu*cking food truck? Blew my mind. It's not just the food. It's the customer service and the fact that I literally chased them around town and I've gotten to know the owner and manager. LOL. I recommend everything. And I'm not exaggerating. It's always such a pleasure to look up and see them in an unexpected place. It's definitely worth the price, because the food options are so unique! It's not even something you think you can duplicate at home. When they tell you to treat yourself? Treat yo self! This food truck is probably one of my favorite things about Los Angeles. I've been chasing them around since I first discovered them at First Fridays on Abbot Kinney. They have never let me down! More...

Tried this truck at the monthly art walk on spring st downtown. Great event with artists and food for blocks. I tried the Cajun shrimp burrito which was overloaded with shrimp. Has great flavor nothing to spicy when you think cajun. Sautéed vegetables and cabbage inside with an aoli. Next item to try is the filet mignon burrito which also looked bomb. Heavy and filling so choose wisely. More...

Found this truck at artwalk in DTLA and decided to give it a try.  Quite a selection in terms of menu, but the prices are not shown and the only way to know any of the prices is by asking directly.  Wasn't sure why that was the case, but I went ahead and ordered the filet mignon quesadilla per several recommendations.  Learned the price was $15, figured because of the filet mignon, but the size of the quesadilla is quite generous and very very filling (also messy, the quesadilla's size makes it a little messy to eat by hand).  The meat itself was also very tender.  If you happen to find this truck, definitely give it a try! Street Kitchen was a surprisingly good truck despite some misleading menu names. Bro ordered the filet quesadilla ($15) which was definitely not filet. I would guess top sirloin or whatever you would make asada with. The multigrain tortilla had nice toasty marks on the outside and lots of melty cheddar and jack inside with loads of meat and an incredible salsa verde. Well prepared and delicious despite the misinformation. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos, which are a great value at $4 each and have loads of chipotle marinated shrimp that are drizzled with the awesome salsa verde and topped with chopped tomatoes and there may have been a shred or two of cabbage. The only thing that would have made that taco better is raw chopped onion. Fortunately, there was some for hot dogs at the Coliseum condiment stand, so I was able to enhance my taco. I would definitely eat here again.  Friendly truck workers too. More...

Tried this food truck at the Sherman Oaks Street Fair. The major downer with my experience with this food truck is the line waiting to order my food. It would help if the food truck had a price listing and list what is in their food items so people can decide what to order. This way, customers don't have to ask the order taker these questions and make the ordering process more smoothly. After I ordered the food, The wait on my food didn't take too long thankfully. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it didn't disappoint. It was flavorful and had lots of shrimp to where you get a piece of shrimp in every bite. FYI, the shrimp quesadilla was $14. Would I eat at this truck again? I would say yes despite the long wait to order. More...

Then I found out they ran out of filet mignon. The lack of prices on their menu is a mother hit.In the good side I did get my food very quickly but they also didn't seem that busy.I had to go with my 2nd choice of the pork belly quesadilla but maybe that was a good thing. The quesadilla had a nice balance of cheese and meat. I don't know if they had hot sauce but that would have made it perfect for me. I was also impressed with how well the food survived the 7 minute walk back to my office so another plus. Nice and still warm without being soggy from steaming itself.Overall I'd definitely eat here again. More...

#41 (2017)Well ya see here... it took about 30 minutes to land at this food truck but I'm just glad I did actually succumb to my friend's decision. Because at first I thought as anti-street kitchen. But after eating it I flipped and I'm pro-street kitchen!Let's just say they ain't got any alternative facts goin on here. No funny business!!So I was at an event out at the LA Coliseum and it was low key whack so I'm like food can ease the pain! Good thing it was a free event because lord knows I'd be fighting and writing letters for my money back!So yea!!There was so much good stuff on that menu!!! It's like where do I go with my order. So many options!! Even though I wanted to grab like three or four thangs it was just unrealistic because each item alone was $12+ so o ended up grabbing the Garlic Parmesan Tater Tots and the Chipotle Shrimp Quesadilla! The Tots were so good!! I couldn't put them down!! I kept eating!! And same for the quesadilla! So cheesy!! So chipotley!!! So shrimpy!!! So saucy!!! Had Street Kitchen LA at my work two weeks ago, and it was the best experience I've had with food-truck food.  Service was friendly and fast.  I think in all I waited 15 minutes at the most, because the line was long to just get my order in.  However, once I placed my order, the food came out pretty fast.  I think they had two or three people working, and they were able to turn out food fairly fast. Definitely worth the wait. I had the lobster grilled cheese with regular fries, because sometimes a girl just has to splurge a little. The grilled cheese was delicious and as decadent as it sounds. The sandwich was huge, definitely not like the grilled cheese I make at home.  The grilled cheese had cheese of course, lobster pieces, big chunks, and avocado.   I thought the combination of cheese and avocado together was a bit weird until I tasted my sandwich. Pardon me as I do the Homer Simpson Drool.  The grilled cheese was rich, creamy, and cheesy!  The best part was that the sandwich stayed together and didn't ooze out like other sandwiches I've eaten.  It was definitely worth every dime.  The french fries order was larger than I expected.  I thought I was going to be served a sandwich and fries in the same to go container, but each item came in it's own box. The portion size for the fries was perfect for sharing, but let's face it, "inside" I'm a fat girl, and I eat all those fries!  The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5, was that I would have liked utensils and napkins.  Maybe in my hunger rage, I missed them, but I definitely didn't get anything to cut my sandwich into more lady like bites lol.  Regardless, I will definitely be looking forward to my next visit, BYOFork. When you need some comfort food in a snap, Street Kitchen is to the rescue! We stumbled upon this truck during our stroll on Night on Broadway (which was so much fun btw). I ordered the Filet Mignon Mac & Cheese because I'm bad and boujee and this dish embodies that phrase in every way. I mean, c'mon, if bad and boujee were a food group this is the poster child. The song was literally playing in my head while I was eating. The filet was perfectly seasoned, wasn't dry and really meshed well with the mac and cheese, complementing it very well. I was afraid the mac and the filet would both be overly salty but that was not the case. The bf had the brisket quesadilla, which I also had the pleasure of trying because what's his is mine and... that's it (kidding...or not). We were eyeing the lobster quesadilla but it must have been a fan favorite since it was sold-out. Brisket quesadilla was so damn good. I came with   tomatoes/pico de gallo fusion and it gave it a much more refreshing taste than I was expecting.Food was a tad pricey but hey, I ordered something rather fancy so I guess that makes sense.
