Service was extremely slow. It took 15 minutes to get us seated, even though we had a reservation. It took another 15 minutes to get water to the table. Food order took a long time as well. Food was good, noise was pretty high More...

My wife and I celebrated 14 years together by enjoying dinner here. In the reservation, I told them this, and there was an Anniversary note on our table, and they gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house! !! The staff was amazing, even down to the valet! A for sure recommend to anyone looking to celebrate any occasion. What a view, and the food!!!! More...

We had a very special Christmas Eve dinner that started with Sue's warm and friendly smile at reception; we actually arrived a half hour early and she happily went to seat us right away. We ordered from the special eve's menu -- lobster bisque (best in town), grilled steelhead (deliciously prepared with apples and cranberries), tomahawk porkchop (seasoned cajun with apple bacon jam -- grilled to perfection), and the "Chocolate Cheesecake" (way better than the name suggests -- dark chocolate crust with white chocolate cake and fresh berries drizzled with raspberry coulis -- only regret was we shared it and didn't order a second one) for dessert. Christina, our server was excellent and sweet -- she was one of the special ingredients that made this meal so memorable. More...

Loved the Brie appetizer. Both entries were delicious, however there was very little peppercorn sauce on my NY steak. Took a bit for our waiter to arrive (10 mins) but after that the service was good. Loved the view.

We love going to Stanley & Seafort's because the food is delicious and the service is good. Just be aware that it's noisy and expensive.

Great restaurant that we frequently go to on our anniversary. Excellent view and service, although quite noisy. My tradition is to have prime rib, but the server informed us up front that the Prime rib had been overcooked that day. I ordered the New York strip instead, which was generally good, but included a sizable chunk of gristle which was unchewable. Also, my mashed potatoes had a large piece of cooked carrot imbedded, although carrots were not part of my order. The server quickly brought a side of potatoes. In spite of the few glitches, we enjoyed our visit and will be back again. More...

Excellent food!!! Our waitress was efficient and knowledgeable but had a lack of personality and seemed distracted and in a rush- but it was busy! !! I’d rather have efficiency than personality- so not a complaint- just an observation. It was a lovely evening! More...

Wonderful date night dinner. Started with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Then their yummy crab and artichoke dip. My wife had tortellini with parmesan crusted scallops. I had their coho salmon with mini potatoes, Swiss chard (my 1st time... Not a big fan), pomegranate seeds, beets and apple bits and goat cheese. Both dinners were sooo good! Then finished with their pear bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Only complaint was the pre dinner bread was not fresh and quite tough. More...

We made reservations, but when we arrived (never been there before) there was no one to greet guests so we had no idea where to go. I asked a passing server who just shrugged and said, "open seating, wherever". So we ended up down at the bar, which was fine, but pretty sure our reservation was for the other dining room. More...

Tuesday night date night to check out the Tacoma Restaurant Week dinner offering and the menu was well worth the price. Prime Rib was our delicious choice for the evening -- great we could add a succulent lobster tail for an upcharge and again well worth it! Ceasar salad was a great starter and dessert has to be the Key lime pie which is the best available in any restaurant -- YUMMMM. Rob, our waiter, was really great -- making sure our food was perfect. Thank you Rob!A shout out to the hostess -- very friendly and inviting! More...

The view is phenomenal; the service was as expected but not exceptional; the food was middle of the road. For 6 of us and no alcohol, we spent about $300; I think I speak for most of Tacoma when I say for that kind of money, the food should have been a lot better. More...

I must admit to bias in favor of Stanley & Seafort's. We discovered it years ago when we used a coupon giving a discount. We were immediately favorably impressed and established a habit of dining there often .When Tacoma Restaurant Week featured Stanley & Seafort's we made reservations online. The process was simple and quickly accomplished.Food: The TRW menu is a fixed price 3 course meal. The choices are limited, but the food is made by the same chefs that produce the regular menu and is outstandingly good. My spouse and I dined on the limited menu. I had the "Chef's Seasonal Choice" seafood which was Steelhead with fall vegetables, and it was perfectly prepared. My spouse decided on the 8 ounce Prime Rib and was very pleased with the result. We've heard Stanley & Seafort's has the best Prime Rib In Tacoma, and we believe it. Perfectly cooked and delightfully presented, it epitomized the high quality we expect from Stanley & Seafort's.Service: From the friendly greeting at the door, the smiling escort to our table, and the efficient and helpful server (who filled my coffee cup whenever it got low), we were very favorably impressed.Ambiance: The dining area has two levels, both providing a panoramic view of Tacoma. The interior of the restaurant is polished wood that reflects the lighting gently showing clearly the well presented food.We were there on a rainy, dreary Tacoma evening and there were fewer diners than usual. The early diners were finishing their meals as we arrived, and most of the normal crowd of later diners stayed home. It was one of the few times we've seen that the entrance lobby did not have diners waiting for a table to be opened up.I highly recommend Stanley & Seafort's for that special occasion or a First Date. I cheerfully predict that you will return again and again.Happy dining! More...
