Jay with an absolute pleasure to work with and I was fully confident in his abilities and professionalism from the first phonecall I had with him. He was extremely responsive to emails and had a long conversation with me prior to me booking him. Part of the conversation was my saying I didn't even know what questions to ask to see if he was right for us and he had an entire document covering what you should ask your DJ. After booking, he always kept in touching asking if there was anything we needed from him along the way. We had about a 90 minute consultation with him prior to our venue consultation which was very thorough and was a critical part to use developing our wedding timeline. By the time we had our venue consultation, the venue already had everything from Jay because he submitted it on our behalf! In a way, he was a bit of a coordinator for us. He made fantastic edits to our songs and even made a spot on recommendation for the mother-son dance for my husband who is a metal fan. My favorite weedings that I've attended have been ones where people were on the dance floor constantly and Jay delivered that! I urge you to give him the freedom to feed off the crowd versus giving him an exact playlist because that is truly a strength of his. I was also impressed by how incorporated Texas country artists into our mix even though some of the artists may not have been familiar to him. He really did his research and was a true pleasure to work with. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. Jay was our DJ at Della Terra for our wedding day this October, and I can't tell you how many people called us after the wedding to say they were still sore from dancing because every song you played you couldn't get off the dance floor! Jay really got to know "us" before the special day and was great at letting our guests know what to pay attention to/announcements/and just being the BEST MC!! Writing reviews is not something I have ever taken the time to do. After my wedding on August 18th there are a few people that I honestly need to take the time to thank and write a review for. Jay Kacik is definitely one of them!! My fiancée and I had 4 months to plan our wedding and were making good progress except for our DJ / MC. I was not looking for any ordinary DJ, but also an MC. Someone to orchestrate the greatest show on earth - my wedding!!! We had interviewed 3 people before Jay and all they did was cause serious concern for us and some sleepless nights. We immediately had a connection with Jay during our first meeting and fortunately for us, he had our date available. He listened, took notes, gave recommendations and most importantly - gave us invaluable insight to what was coming from his wealth of experience. My fiancée and I wanted 70's folk music for our cocktail hour, 80's dance club music and because my fiancée is from Mexico City, a lot of Latin beats mixed in for dancing. DJ Jay provided the absolute best service for our wedding. We received nothing but compliments from our friends, family and parents about how great and organized he was. Jay provided so much more than great music for the night and I am forever grateful that he was there to direct the show and keep us moving along. When people tell you that the entire day is a blur that's over in the blink of an eye, it's very true. Everything went off perfectly and I know that wouldn't have happened without Jay's help. The song selections, timing, toasts, microphones, lights, crazy walkout songs - he didn't just make sure they happened, he made sure they happened right. Choosing Jay for our wedding was the best choice we made while planning our wedding. We knew dancing was a hugely important part of our wedding and Jay understood that. One of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process was selecting Jay as our DJ. From the time we booked our wedding with Jay, he was a part of our wedding planning process. He checked in regularly as the wedding approached, and he helped us sort through many small details that we hadn't even considered. He even checked with some of our family members (with our permission) regarding their preferences for the reception. That was all before the party even started! At the reception, Jay kept our dance floor packed for the entire night. We didn't even have a big enough dance floor for all of our guests because of Jay's song selections. He also was incredibly helpful about keeping the reception organized and flowing - from the toasts to the first dances to the cake cutting. It was such a delight working with Jay - he is probably one of the most organized individuals we’ve had the pleasure working with. He has a packet of questions that covers every part of the wedding, including parts that we hadn’t even thought of before meeting with him. We were also impressed at how often he reached out to check in and see how the planning process was going. It was nice to feel like we were a priority and that he wanted to help where he could. The wedding went without a hitch thanks to him! In addition to fulfilling his duties, he helped make sure other aspects went smoothly as well, like when the venue thought we were going to cut our cake privately in a side room and he checked in with us, saying “This is what they think is happening, but I’m pretty sure that’s not what we discussed.” Thank goodness! We told him he was correct, we were doing a normal cake cutting, and we were able to fix a potential problem before it even occurred! Jay played all the songs we asked for (and adhered to the do-not-play list) and managed to get people on the dance floor in spite of having to compete with a very beautiful day at a venue in the mountains. I cannot begin to thank Jay of Standing Room Only DJ for his incredible work for our wedding. He is so easy to work with and everything was perfect for our wedding day. He seamlessly blended our music from the ceremony to the reception. He checked in with us on the big day with a quick run down of what was to come and read the crowd like the expert he is! He sent us the full songs of our big dances (first dance, mother son, father daughter, processional, recessional) to be sure it was exactly what we wanted. He was a breeze to work with and so many of our vendors had worked with him previously and had such great things to say about him. He even called both my mother and my husbands mother a week before the wedding to check in on them and be sure they were doing well! Outstanding! He truly went above and beyond. My husband and I were married on October 25th at Della Terra and were so lucky to have Jay as our DJ. Honestly, you can't do any better than Jay! Jay basically runs the whole wedding and let me tell you, he is great at what he does! He helped us along the way and gave great suggestions to make sure our wedding was perfect! And it was! After the wedding, both my husband and I knew that Jay had been the absolute best vendor we had chosen! I mean there are literally no words to describe how great at his job he is. He has great suggestions and all you have to do is enjoy the ride. If I could give him 10 stars out of 5 I would. Jay is awesome and you could not choose a better DJ! More...

Jay did a wonderful job with our wedding. He met with us twice in person (allowing us to choose the location) and was available by phone or email whenever we had a question. He really listened to what my husband and I wanted. He did a superb job on the wedding day. Several guests have told us that they loved our music and that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Jay did an outstanding job as our DJ and MC for our wedding ceremony and reception. We have no doubt that you will not be disappointed with Jay’s services because he we found that he always went above and beyond. He was very easy to get along with and extremely open to tailoring our day just the way we wanted it. Yet Jay is also very adept at reading the crowd and making sure that everything goes smoothly and a good time is had by all. Jay was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend him. He was professional and polite in all of our interactions and a lot of fun to work with. In many areas of the wedding he took it upon himself to ensure that things flowed smoothly, and it was comforting to know that he was thinking ahead every step of the way.
