Staging Artists

I couldn't be more pleased with the results of Staging Artists to stage our townhome. They did beyond what I requested, which was make it nice but keep it simple so others can see how their home can be yet not get distracted and not see their own stuff there. So Staging Artists made it look simple, yet elegant. They even heard me about my favorite color, though I told them to use their best judgment. Amy West and her amazing company, "Staging Artists", were brought in to help us with decisions on how best to prep my elderly mother's Sunnyvale home for sale by our realtor, Chuck Fuery of Stanford Properties and Finance, and then to professionally stage it. Amy did a walkthrough of the house along with Chuck and my wife and sister. Chuck asked Amy to recommend interior remodeling changes that could be made to the 1957 old style ranch house that would likely return around $3 in increased sale value for each $1 invested in the remodeling. We greatly liked and appreciated Amy's insightful vision and suggestions that she worked up for us. Based on that mutual agreement we hired her and she worked with the contractor by selecting the cabinets, paint colors, fixtures, tile colors and patterns, etc. that over a seven week period the contractor professionally installed. Amy stopped by the house during the process frequently to assess and ask for corrections of any variations from her design of the interior. The finished interior was gorgeous and stunning in its modernized appearance. Upon completion of the remodeling, Amy designed and oversaw the professional "staging" of the house to maximize its visual impact when later viewed by realtors and potential buyers. The comments overheard by our realtor from the 50 or so visitors during the single weekend open-house that needed to be held we've been told were overwhelmingly appreciative of the great attention to detail that was obvious throughout. The house brought in at sale roughly $270,000 more than the original estimated value prior to the remodel, which cost in total $80,000. And the house sold for $$75,000 over our asking price. Yes, we certainly got our money's worth and then some from Amy West and her wonderful company, "Staging Artists." I would like to let you know that we have achieved our goal, and we achieved it fast, above and beyond our expectation --we have entered into a final purchase agreement without any more contingencies and we wouldn't have accomplished it without your superb staging talent. I couldn't be more thankful to have found Staging Artists.  Besides the fact that they did an excellent job in staging the properties (inside and out), they went out of their way to help me resolve a very difficult situation at one property. .. I was working with a very unethical buyer's agent (I can provide details if interested) who created a lot of challenges for us, one of which is arranging pickup of the staging company furniture.  I called Staging Artists and Gina worked with me on various options, went out of her way to arranging exceptional scheduling (they are so busy but she took the time to explore what could be done), and made my battle so much easier.  On the day of pickup, I met Fia and Sua - they are so professional and kind (even though the buyer/agent again created challenges for us in entering the house), not to mention they also made the process much much faster so I can put this nightmare behind me.  Thank you again for being a great company with excellent personnel/service!  What a great team! When it came to staging my parent's home in San Mateo I met with nearly a dozen staggers.  I knew the big impact staging could have and wanted to be sure to find a stagger that could highlight the best features of the home and it's open floor plan.  Staging Artists was at the higher end of the range of quotes I received but having seen their beautiful work, I decided to go with them.  I couldn't have been happier with the decision.  Staging Artists is worth every penny!!! I worked with Julie directly who was phenomenal.  I live in Los Angeles and wasn't able to meet with her personally but she was always available to answer my questions by phone.  She went above and beyond and helped me pick out paint colors and offered advice on updating fixtures. Amy West of Staging Artists came to our house for the initial consultation.  There is a fee for this consultation and it was very reasonable given the proposal package we received when she was done.  We had not decided at that time on whether to have Staging Artists do the work or to take some of the ideas suggested by Amy and attempt to do them ourselves.  Amy spent at least an hour and a half with us and we jotted down ideas that she shared with us.  Amy provided suggestions for both inside the house and the yard.  She took pictures and said she would provide all suggestions in writing for us in the final proposal package in the event that we decided to try to stage ourselves.  Once we received the proposal package (the same day) from Amy we reviewed the suggestions, we reviewed the costs to have Staging Artists do the work for us and compared it against all the stuff we would have to buy or borrow to accomplish the recommendations.  It was a hard decision but we decided to attempt the staging ourselves based on the recommendations provided by Amy in the package.  We felt we could do the work ourselves but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone!We spent a lot of time and had several talented friends come over to help with the decluttering and staging based on the recommendations by Amy.  It didn't hurt that the friends were extremely creative as well.  It took a couple weekends of cleaning the house, moving things to storage, and then staging with either purchased items or friends loaned pictures, vases, art, furniture, furniture pillows, carpets, etc.  One very talented relative staged the outside with furniture, flowers, plants, and created several distinct "rooms" outside for resting and enjoying the yard and beautifully staged plants and flowers.Wow!  What a difference!!  Our small team thought the place looked totally different and it looked fantastic.  We were ready to put the house on the market.We lost count of the number of realtors and prospective clients that came through and asked our realtor who staged the house and how beautiful it was.  There were so many positive comments and according to our realtor when he asked for any other additional staging ideas or things that could be improved, the answer was always, no, it was perfect the way it is.  "It really shows well."We believe that the staging and the specifics that Amy suggested directly correlated to the strong interest in the house and the property.We also wanted to thank our very special and talented friends for helping us implement Amy's suggestions as well as bring their own creativity into the mix.We sold our house!  We believe that Amy West of Staging Artists deserves so much of the credit.  There are no hesitations in highly recommending Staging Artists and Amy West for your home staging needs.  Good luck!
