I met Stacey while in Oakmont at a bridal show. She was welcoming and fun to talk to! She photographed Robert and I’s engagement session, which was an absolute blast! We uber’ed around Pittsburgh taking photos at various locations, adding beauty to the photos. Since we are from Pittsburgh it really was special to me to get those historical backdrops of the yellow bridges, shots atop Mt Washington, the point with the fountain (of course ) and Station Square. We got our photos in an album in which we used at our wedding for guests to sign and leave heartfelt messages inside, which made a great keepsake to remember our day. It was everything i asked for. Further, Stacey photographed our wedding beautifully, providing still images from each stage of the day as it unfolded .We enjoyed working with Stacey Lynn. She’s been professional throughout the entire experience . She has captured each moment of our wedding taking the time to make sure many of the details didn’t go unnoticed . Looking back was like reliving our wedding-she really portrayed everyone’s emotions and highlighted details from our special day! I called Stacey for a family photo shoot of 20 for an anniversary suprise. She was super flexible about location, offered suggestions and even gave us ideas for "what to wear". The shoot took about 30 minutes. I thought it would be super chaotic with all the adults and kids but it was the most organized shoot I have ever done. Stacey gave us many poses to pick from. I won a setting session from a benefit i haven't had photos done because i was scared my little one wouldn't be good and i would waist $ with no good photos to come of the session. But Stacey did amazing! She had little tricks to keep her busy and got awesome pictures! She saw opportunities with my 4 year old when she was just being her silly self and they are amazing. I can NOT wait to get my pictures back from my mommy and me shoot! The way she caught my 4 year olds eyes I'm absolutely in love! Can't wait to do more sessions. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photograph is in the details. A photographer skilled in their craft knows how to combine photographic technique, lighting, posing, angles, location and other factors quickly and expertly - all while interacting with a client - to bring out the unique qualities that make someone who they are. Stacey Lyn Boutique Photography is trained to do all of that, and more. On a wedding day, we anticipate moments and are at the ready so that nothing is missed. We are photographers, wedding coordinators, bridal party wranglers, and tissue-givers. For our seniors, we are listeners, cheerleaders, and friends.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We want to get to know our couples and our seniors, not just as people who have hired us to do a job, but as friends. We want to know each couple's story - how you met, all about the proposal, what your hopes and dreams are, your favorite places to travel to, about the families that you have and the family that you want. We want to know what our seniors love, what their personal style is, the stores they love to shop at, their favorite way to spend a weekend, what their hopes and dreams are for life after high school. These questions, among others, help us to design and style your wedding or senior session to tell YOUR story.
What do you love most about your job?
What isn't there to love? I get to wake up every day and do something that I am passionate about! This job has given me experiences I could never have dreamed of, allowed me to meet people I never would have met, and allows me to create beautiful lasting art for my clients. I get to be part of some of the most meaningful events in my clients' lives, and many of my clients come back to me year after year as their family grows and changes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always knew that I was meant for something other than the corporate 9-5. I lived in that world for 17 years, but was feeling unfulfilled and wanted more. I knew that I had always had the desire to create within me but it took years and a lot of maturing to be brave enough to follow the path of owning my own business. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner - I LOVE it and have never looked back!

Wall Gallery Design Consultation
This service is offered complimentary to our clients & can be selected from your client portal upon booking. If you choose to take advantage of our design service, we will schedule an appointment to take place in your home. During this appointment, I will walk with you through your home to identify any walls where you may like to hang framed, canvas, metal or acrylic pieces from our line of luxury wall art. I will take measurements and some photos and we will discuss your decorating style & any ideas you envision for your space. Once back at my studio, I will create design options for each space we discussed. Using our state-of-the-art software, I will upload the photos I took of your walls & add the designs I created for you so that you can see exactly what a design will look like in your home BEFORE you invest!
