Good variety of food options without being overwhelming. The food was reasonably priced. The restaurant was pretty busy but the food didn't take too long from order to preparation. Amazing Bloody Mary and bottomless mimosa bar! Not only does it have various juices and garnishes for your drinks, but snacks too.  Our waiter was awesome refilling our mimosas.  I wasn't impressed with the actual food from the menu, but the snack bar more than made up for it.   I ordered the pancakes with turkey sausage, both were tough, the sausage inedible. Mimosa bar is unbeatable. Service is sublime. Can't recommend it enough. Whenever my family comes in from out of town, I 100% take them here. Great for bday parties too!

Brunch with family & friends last Sunday - my first visit, the others in the party had dined there previously.   We all had the Mimosa bar (of course) and I had the Brisket Hash & Eggs and loved it - the others had the Salmon & Eggs. Five of us went there for brunch on a Saturday it was so lovely! It was my first time. My sister and I are vegan so we shared the truffle scramble and the banana vanilla toast. I've eaten here 2x now. I really like the ambience of the place and the friendly staff. This time around I had the French onion soup which was very good. I got the beef brisket sandwich with a mixed green salad. The presentation was awesome but I wasn't impressed. The beef was dry. I could barely taste the vinaigrette dressing. My friend had the chicken Caesar salad and potato chips. The chips were amazing! However the salad needed more seasoning. We made SqWires a pre-thanksgiving celebration for my two daughters, husband and me. The food was delicious. We each ordered something different (pot pie, stuffed pork chop, meatloaf and blackened mango salmon). My work crew ate lunch here and it was awesome. I had the cod, which was battered and fried to perfection. The housemade chips was delish! Everyone's food looked amazing and everyone agreed that their meal was wonderful. The meatloaf seemed to be a favorite amongst the group. I'm looking forward to trying out the brunch. We got married here in 2010 (ceremony and reception). Bethany could not have been easier to work with. Our entire experience was completely stress free. Our wedding is still one of my favorite days...ever. We consistently come back here for our anniversary dinner. We bring friends here for brunch. We come here for Mother's Day. I found my favorite brunch spot! We usually eat at the same places so I did a little research and stumbled across SqWires. And I'm thankful that I came across this because it was delicious! The service was wonderful...thanks Kat, and the ambiance was perfect. We had the perfect table...the corner booth by the mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. Let's talk about this bar. There were several juices to choose from, and the extras to spice up your drink were amazing. Everything from olives, bacon, gummy bears, and fruit. And then they threw in extras that I felt like made it an appetizer bar as well....Cheese, fresh potato chips, pickles, wafers. I definitely had a pre-brunch snack. Our glad never stayed empty. And they fill it to the top so you barely have room for juice (that is not a complaint lol). Oh I didn't even get to the food. I had the omelette and it was so good. Those grits!!!!! I've eaten here quite a few times and even got married here in 2017 (in the Annex).  We went back a few weeks ago.to eat before a play.  I love the Lafayette Park area.  There are lots of good places to eat and drink and great old buildings. Sqwires used to be an old wire factory (hence the spelling).  The food is good(especially their homemade pies), though not the best in that neighborhood.   The servers are friendly.  The ambience is great.  There's the main restaurant, a decent sized private room in the front and the large annex in the back. We held.my mothers 70th birthday party in the front room and everyone loved it.  When we got married the ceremony was in the annex, then everyone went to the small private room for drinks while the annex was flipped for dinner, then we returned to the Annex.  I will attach some photos of the Annex.  I love the exposed brick.The staff was great to work with. There were a few snafus during the reception.  We had lots of people RSVP yes so some had to eat at tables in the balcony area above the main part of the Annex.  Somehow the lights got.turned off up there once dinner started. The guests up there didn't say anything but just used their phone flashlights to see the buffet and each other.  They also put out the pie bar that was supposed to be the 9 pm snack immediately after dinner and before the wedding cake was served so no one really wanted cake.  Not a huge deal but a little annoying If you want to get married you're not going to find a better space for such a reasonable price.  Plus you have the park nearby and a beautiful  fountain for photos.  The owner and staff are very friendly.  So head over for brunch and check it out.
