The trainers here are exceptional at building a personalized workout plan to help you grow regardless of your skill level in the gym. My workouts are geared to my personal well-being, which including nutrition advise, mentally support as well as physical training. Coach Tommy sincerely cares and makes sure my form is on point, so I won’t hurt myself. He takes a personal interest with all his clients. I have gone to several boot camp and personal training workout places before, and I have never received the personal attention that I received with Coach Tommy& this attention is during full class. He even checked on me on the daily basis and share with me his meditation daily to guide me through my stress phase. I am super grateful to Tommy’s expertise and spirit. When I first thought about getting a trainer, I really just wanted to find someone that had an education/understanding in the field, rather than a "I do crossfit, so I can get you fit" mentality. I went to USC and obtained a bachelors in Human Biology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy and a masters in Public Health. So someone that genuinely understood biomechanics, kinesiology, and anatomy was significant for me. After meeting with a few trainers, it was clear Tommy had a concrete understanding of the body; not just in the personal training sense, but even in regards to rehab and physical therapy. I've been training with Tommy for a few months now and he's not only helped me grow in my exercise game, but more importantly with my mental and emotional health. Right off the bat, he told me personal training would obviously involve the physical training aspect, but also required nutrition changes and positive self affirmations. Playing volleyball for 14 years and working out at the gym made the physical aspect decently easy (when he's not trying to throw insane workouts at me or push me to hit 425 on hip thrusts), but changing my food habits to be more consistently healthy and being nicer to myself were/are the hardest parts. He always has a new/inventive spin on basic exercises to keep me engaged and dedicated to getting stronger and leaner. He'll also text throughout the week to see how the positive affirmations are going. I can tell that Tommy strives to make me feel seen and heard in every session, by pushing me to a healthy limit with various types of exercises, but also asking me how the food's been and the mental thoughts. I genuinely believe he not only wants you to see physical changes, but more importantly he cares about your own self-love/esteem improving. He's been right there with me, cheering me on every step of the way. Instilling that I can do it, especially when I don't think I can. I couldn't thank Tommy enough for the work and effort he's put into helping me constantly become a better version of myself. I had lost a lot of muscle and gotten pretty scrawny. I reached out to Tom to get into weight lifting and proper form, and reaching a specific weight. Coach Tommy is very professional, making a detailed plan for me. Following through with his plan and training with him three times a week, I have lost 9 Kg for only one month. His training is totally scientific and really worth it for the people who want to build muscle, lose weight, or have a healthier life. One thing I really want to emphasize is that I had hypertension before training with him, but, now, since I have lost a lot of weight, my blood pressure has become normal. It is a huge change for me!!!! I can't imagine if I didn't choose him and kept my bad habit of eating a lot of fast foods and sitting for a whole day in front of my laptop, I would have probably had a high risk of heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, or other diseases relating to obesity.  Honestly, he has been changing my life and guiding me to a healthier lifestyle. I know many people might think that they can do some kinds of exercise by themselves such as running, walking, swimming, and so on to lose weight. I thought like this too. However, there is a big chance when we felt a little bit tired, we stopped the training right away. We thought we did enough training already, but actually we were not and we could do more. Working with Coach Tommy has been an amazing experience ( speaking for someone who hates exercise wholeheartedly).

I have years of muscle amnesia/damage (especially in my glutes) for not being very active and sitting in very bad positions but Coach Tommy has been very patient -and Lord knows I need lots of that - in helping me starting to feel those muscles again. He is definitely very passionate about helping people get in shape and never gives up until he can figure out what’s going on and find a way to help you improve. He shows a lot of empathy but still knows how to push you to do better.

If you have some level of scientific curiosity like me, you will also enjoy the fact that Tommy is very analytical and knowledgeable, always willing to explain the science behind what's going on or what he is recommending you do, which helps a lot.

Finally, one of the reasons I have been putting off exercise in my wellness journey is that I usually feel very intimidated around fitness trainers, exercise is really one of those things I am really not good at but Coach Tommy has made me very comfortable and now I have assurance I can take on and pursue this wellness journey.

Miracle Worker!<br>Without sounding too &#34;sappy&#34; I can honestly say that working with Tommy changed my life. I had three sessions a week with him for a few months and began to get in shape. Then he added a new component to our sessions, Mindfulness We worked on meditation as a way to reduce the stress in my life. It honestly works... immediately! Tommy has a very special gift where he can tell if you need &#34;more.&#34; He was able to tell that I was holding onto a twelve year old grudge and actual hatred. Without EVER saying &#34;Tell me about it&#34; or &#34;You need to do this&#34; he was able to encourage me to begin writing in a Gratitude Journal. Without turning this review into a book, I will sum things up ... the hatred that I was holding melted away without me even realizing it. I began to appreciate so many things, big and small, old and new. I was able to let go of my stress through meditation. I even noticed when I needed to meditate! I've been working out with Tommy for almost two years now and recommend him to anyone, from performance athletes looking for a competitive edge to retirees looking to maintain some flexibility and muscle mass. I'm solidly in the middle of that range...I was an athlete when I was a kid, and when I met Tommy ten years later I was trying to get back in shape. We set some goals--including lose 25 pounds--and got to work, and about 6 months later that 25 pounds was gone. Now we keep adding more and more weight to the bar, and somehow I keep putting it up. Tommy is also great about providing support for health-related activities away from the gym, and has me logging my food, counting my steps, meditating, etc. Now every time I see someone I haven't seen in a while, they tell me how great I look! It's a great ego boost, if nothing else :) And besides being an award-winning body builder and an exceptionally knowledgeable trainer, Tommy is a super nice guy! Tommy is amazing! I have to admit I was a tough sell at first. I didn't think personal training was worth the money but I was so wrong. It's all about finding the right trainer! Tommy believes in total health. He has great advise on training you body and your mind. Nutrition, meditation and physical training working in a balance together. Tommy is never distracted when he is training me. I get 100% of his focus and attention. I am confident that he will get the best out of me and he would never push me to hard or allow me to get injured but he expects me to work. Even if I am not telling him when something is sore or hurting, he can see it. He watches every little thing and is always focused on proper form. Working with Tommy is the best decision I made for myself. Almost 2-1/2 years ago, the only thing I did was lay in bed, eat fast food and avoid moving at all due to knee pain and general laziness. So Fit SoCal and Tommy helped me prepare for my upcoming college baseball season. I went to train with Tommy with a messed up shoulder. I was still able to workout the rest of my body and we did exercised that strengthen all the muscles in my shoulder. Tommy helped groom my shoulder back to regular strength. He is very smart and knowledgeable about the muscle and joints in the body. As we would start a new exercise, he would explain what muscles are being used and why they are important to strengthen. I highly recommend Tommy as your personal trainer. I found Tommy on thumb track along with a few other trainers. I decided to give them all a try and choose the trainer that I was most comfortable with. When I first met Tommy, the best thing I liked about him was that he was not pushy to sign me up. He also gave me a tryout session which I liked since it gave me an idea on how his training was. Thru out the first month or so, I dropped all the other trainers and choose Tommy as my primary trainer. <br><br>I was definitely out of shape and very weak when I joined So Fit Socal, now many months later, I am much stronger and healthier. Tommy has grown to not only be my trainer, but also my friend. He always texts me and checked up on my food and step for the day regardless on how many time I have not met my steps and food goals. <br><br>Tommy not only focuses on the physical well being, but also the emotional well being. My husband and I chose Ryan and Kate for our engagement and wedding photos, and could not be happier with our decision! Photography was the most important thing to us, so we contacted as many photographers in the area as possible. Once we met with Ryan and Kate, we knew we found our photographers! We actually had every intention of meeting with others instead of just emailijg, but we knew there was no competition or a point of meeting anyone after them! They put our minds at ease, were so easy to talk to, and made us feel comfortable in our photos. They were so flexible for times and genuinely cared about their clients and photography. First I tell my clients that I am diet agnostic. This means I dont mind what ever diet you choose to follow with me, as long as you can maintain it. If its not possible then I like to help my clients practice mindfulness in choosing the proper portions with foods they enjoy eating. As for exercise that varies greatly for each client. Whether I am helping clients with balance, flexibility, strength, or explosive power I make sure to log and record the work done so we may see the changes together.

My secret is science. I have no magic tricks, no quick or easy fixes. I have scientific data that will help me determine your food and workouts to optimize your results and make sure we get you to your goals. I am not a fan of guessing what is going to happen or hope that a certain workout is effective. There must be a plan laid out with timely results for exercise, cardio/movement, and nutrition.

I was suffering from addition close to 13 years ago. I was able to start recovery at the age of 20. Exercise was an important part of my recovery plan. Taking myself from being sick and tired wanting to never try again, to feeling like I have a full, healthy, fit life is priceless. I want to share the tools I have if someone is looking to make a change in their life no matter how large or small the goal may seem.

After working for 12 years in the fitness industry I have been fortunate to work in many areas. This ranged from a SHAPE magazine coach, to training athletes, teaching p.e., flying around and teaching trainers and managers/owners of gyms how to improve client results, and so much more. As I continued to teach other fitness professionals I found myself getting further away from working with my own clients. In 2015 I decided I missed working with clients and feeling the joy of helping others reach their fitness goals. This lead me to starting SoFit SoCal. A company where I provide full fitness and wellness services to my local community.

I have the knowledge and service skills that have been honed over 12 years to provide several things.
1.) A fun, safe environment
2.) A plan laid out from a-z for results
3.) Clients can access me Monday - Sunday via txt or phone for questions regarding their fitness goal

Before starting any program I always meet with you for a free consultation. This gives us a chance to sit down, discover your goals, map out plans on how to get there, and try a workout based on your goals.

I will work hard to give you the accountability and support needed as we make lifestyle changes together. I believe its much more than just exercise and some nutrition changes when it comes to long term success. This is why may also create plans for things like mindfulness as well.
