I absolutely love this restaurant. We get the butchers block every time we go and it's delicious every time. The salmon is cooked to perfection I also very much enjoy the grilled okra. The staff is always polite, thorough and efficient. The prices are fair for the quality of food but expect to spend 60-100$ for two people. Well worth it every time. More...

Last night we enjoyed our first dinner at Smoke.  It was everything our friends and family had said it would be.  We were able to get right in around 7:30pm.  Apparently, without reservations on a Saturday night is not as easy.  I'm not sure how we got so lucky but glad we did.  My husband ordered the porterhouse lamb chop.  Def one of the tables favorites.  He got fries as a side instead and wow it comes with a very large helping so you can def share.  I ordered the pork chop with risotto & green beans.  So delicious.  Their risotto is now one of my favorites.  My sister and brother in law had the salmon and chicken pasta.  We also shared bites of each other's and learned their wasn't a bad bite.  Our server was excellent in helping us order and recommended to not sub anything but you can if you choose and I'm glad I didn't because the flavors paired together were fabulous.  I also recommend ordering the  Planet Oregon pinot noir.  Excellent!!! We will be back in the near future for sure.  Smoke is a new favorite. More...

It was soooooo tasty, really a pleasant surprise.  We went for brunch. I will definitely be back for dinner!  Mimosas are good but you have to try the Smoke Coffee, if you aren't driving, IJS.  Oh yea the burger was good too, perfect seasoning and smoky taste.  They even have a cool cigar room. We try and go here every Valentine's because their food is AMAZING! We always get the butcher block, and it is more than enough food for the two of us. The flavors here are out of this world, with every single bite! But last night, we didn't have that "Smoke" experience we usually do. We waited for almost an hour for our food. And then when we finally got it, everything buy the okra and sausage were less than warm. We even asked for the extra brussel sprouts we ordered to be sent back and heated up. We would've liked for the rest of the food to be reheated, but we were uncomfortable enough just asking for the brussel sprouts. Our ribeye was very fatty and gristly. I know the ribeye is meant to be fatty, but there was just too much. Seemed like it could've been trimmed better. All in all, the flavors conquered all and we had a great time as usual. I still give this place 4 stars on a bad day because it is AMAZING food. I'm guessing we just caught the kitchen staff on a busy night. Will definitely be coming back here and look forward to enjoying a wonderful meal! More...

Smoke is excellent. It's great for a nice date or something very casual - it's appropriate for either.I typically go for brunch. The biscuits and gravy are original; it's a square-shaped, fluffier biscuit with a flavorful gravy. I've had other meals but this is my favorite - and the bacon is really good here.Smoke is known for good mimosas. When my friend was in town, we had a few pitchers and really enjoyed ourselves. The service is usually really good. Capers? Yummy salmon? It's almost like they're cheating but omg the potatoes and the star of the plate: whole wheat toast grilled on the flat top, I've never seen that. So delicious. My son got the sausage scramble with gravy and biscuits, those things are light as air but I only had a few bites (because resolutions) but they were the best at the table. The restaurant is in the trendy part of town. There is limited parking so that can be an issue. If you find a spot and get inside the atmosphere is uptown casual. The butter for the bread is very good. It has roasted rosemary and complementary to the soft bread. I had the half chicken plate and it was very good. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and very tender and flavorful. But the surprise to me was the bbq sauce. It was the right amount of sweet and heat for me. I would recommend trying this place out. Was taken here for lunch on a Friday. Easily seated before noon, there was literally SRO by the time we left. Madhouse full. I ordered: Goat Cheese Gnocchi - 16mushroom, butternut squash, fried sage, spinach, Manchego, smoked tomato cream. This was delicious. Loved that they add fried sage. My only complaint is there simply wasn't enough of that devine smoked tomato cream. Gnocchi needs sauce. My partner enjoyed the Friday Blue Plate special ($10) of 2 street-size catfish tacos and I didn't even get a bite! But the presentation was impeccable. Depends upon interpretation, but could be perceived as a tad pricey.  Great place for a business lunch. Service was fine and I can't imagine that it happens often, but we had a hard time getting checked out. Our waitress was so busy, she was everywhere. Four stars for that and lack of sauce for the gnocchi. No pictures since it was a business lunch. Sorry. Pictures tell the story imo. More...

Smoke is a good local restaurant on Cherry Street, and like the name of the place suggests their specialty are smoked meat, poultry, and fish! We started the evening with a Rose Golden cocktail, very refreshing and full of fruit flavor made with their passion fruit infused simple syrup, complementing the herbal taste of the Hendrick's gin very well. The cocktail list is pretty nice and we will definitely come back and try more drinks! It was our second time there and we opted to try the butcher block because it was so hard to choose one specific dish! The butcher block came with a selection of meats including andouille sausage, a sirloin steak, salmon, a pork chop with sides of fried mashed potatoes, okra, and asparagus. The platter comes with three different sauces each complementing the meats very well! The sirloin steak was perfectly cooked medium rare as we requested and was delicious. The andouille sausage has a little kick of heat and are very flavorful! The salmon was great, melts in your mouth and has a nice smoky flavor. The only piece of meat that we could have done without was the pork chop because it was too dry.Overall it's a good place to catch up with friends or go on a date in the heart of Cherry Street! My grandparents and I came here during dinner one night but didn't dine in because it seemed to expensive and odd for their Friday night cravings. This trip, my parents were here and decided we should try it. I am so glad we did.The lunch menu is around $12-16 per plate. It is a lot less daunting than I thought. They have hamburgers, Rubens, salads, and potato chips. Every table starts with fresh chopped potato chips. The ranch dip that comes with them is delicious. It tastes like a mixture of garlic aioli and ranch with a little kick. I am not sure what gives it a pinkish tint, but it is pink. For our main meal, I asked if the Salmon melt or the Wood-Grilled Salmon Salad was better. The waitress (who was very polite and attentive) said the salad. The Wood-Grilled Salmon Salad had kale, shaved Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, cranberries, sunflower seeds, & spicy maple vinaigrette for $14. It was the best salmon salad I have ever had. The goat cheese was exquisite, there were not too many cranberries, the kale wasn't bitter, and the vinaigrette was not too much or over powering. The sunflower seeds were a nice touch. I liked the shaved Brussels sprouts because they added a good crunch. My family got the chicken club and the burger. I sampled the burger and fries, but it wasn't anything special in my opinion. The fries lacked luster and it was the same with the burger. I tasted the char more than anything. Although, the thick bacon on it was a plus, but my mom said it was mostly fat.My sister liked the chicken club but is glad she got the bacon jam on the side. My dad LOVED the jam, but she did not like it. I didn't care for it either. We sat in a corner booth. It was absolutely wonderful for conversation between the six of us. The place is upscale and modern looking. They have a cigar room for people to smoke. Thankfully, the rest of the restaurant does not smell like smoke. The bathrooms are clean and beautiful. They have fresh flowers and grey, white, and silver colors. The ambience is stylish and upscale.  We arrived on Saturday around noon and were disappointed with only being presented the brunch menu.  The biscuits are moist and delicious with unique flavored butter.  We ordered open faced green chili burger and some sausage.  The open faced green chili burger was the perfect combo of spice and savory.  The portion  is huge for lunch and fries are included.  This is a shareable dish if you have that kind of friends. Personally, the Bar-B-Que sauce with the sausage was not my favorite.  Very spicy Witt a little smoke.  I bet some people would love it, but I think I prefer a little more sweet taste in my sauce.  This is a great destination on Cherry St. In addition, the bathrooms are super clean, trendy, and smell delightful. I took my adult nephew out to lunch after we ran some errands.  I used my yelp, as I often do, to find a nearby restaurant.  We drove by SMOKE and decided to stop.   Upon entering the restaurant I found it very pleasing to the eye. It was clean, and well decorated and we were  seated immediately.   It took us a few minutes to peruse the menu as it contained numerous choices.   I believe that Smoke is probably known for their beers as the selection  is very large. They might even brew their own beer I'm just not sure about that as we were not interested in a drink. We saw many things on the menu that we would enjoy but we stopped when we saw the Ruben sandwich. We both ordered one. Oh by the way when you sit down you are served a large basket of homemade potato chips. What a treat. They were served along with a  ranch dipping sauce that obviously had something in it as it was a pinkish color. It was delicious and I could not stop eating those homemade potato chips. The wait was very short and our Ruben's were served. They were beautiful!!  As I bit in for the first taste I was in heaven. I know for a fact that this was the best Ruben I have ever eaten. I have traveled in every state and even overseas and never found a better Ruben.  It was served on tasty toasted bread, and was stacked with perfect kraut and was complemented by a very tasty dressing. The corned beef was absolutely perfect. It was moist and was not messy. It was PERFECT !
