Because of Smart Marketing Girls, I was able to build a digital marketing brand that I am proud of. Stephanie walked me through every step of the process and her ideas were awesome. My favorite part was that I didn’t have to wait. She teaches you how to get started right away (and most importantly get clients right away too). :) More...

I was so lost when I first reached out to Stephanie and Smart Marketing Girls! I needed a website to display my artwork and SMG not only helped me with the design direction, but also taught me TONS of SEO and marketing tips along the way. I love learning from SMG because they’re different than other business consultants I’ve worked with. They really know the EXACT steps that are needed to build a successful online presence, and give it to you in small chunks that you can literally start implementing ASAP. They also truly understand people who are starting at base 1. Working with Smart Marketing Girls is the best decision I’ve ever made for my business!! More...

I am so grateful to have found Smart Marketing Girls. They responded to my questions really quickly and the quality work was evident. Stephanie is very knowledgeable about search engine optimization - she walked me through the entire process of creating a smart website and really listened to my explanation of what I wanted to relay to my clients. Sometimes I wasn't sure what direction to take, and she guided me without being pushy. I am also really pleased that it looks great on all size screens (since so many people use their phone to view websites nowadays). More...

What makes a great website?
A great website is easy to use, communicates effectively, looks beautiful and is optimized for search engines. Building a website is a lot like building a beautiful home. First, you need a great location (your domain name). Next you need a solid foundation, structurally sound construction (clean website code). Once your structure is secure, you now need to focus on the layout to ensure it's easy to navigate (well-organized website). Last but not least is the aesthetic and how it feels for visitors (your site's design, color palette, typography, imagery etc.).
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When working with a new client, it's important that we understand the following:
1) Specific business offerings [Which of your services are your bread and butter, which are supplementary offerings?]
2) Target market [Who is your ideal client?]
3) Business identity [What is your business's personality? How would you like to be perceived by your clients?]
4) Business details: Name, Address, Phone, Branding requirements
5) What makes your company unique?
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a female entrepreneur, I consistently came across other women who had incredible talent who felt unsure about how to create a professional online presence. I find incredible joy in helping other women create the business of their dreams - moving them from dreaming to doing. I created Smart Marketing Girls with all of these women in mind, and will continue to foster an environment of kindness, encouragement and marketing prowess!
