Shasta went above and beyond to make sure my daughter's 1st birthday party was a success! Everyone was so impressed by her space, activities and her ability to make sure everything ran smoothly.
If you haven't booked a party for your little one's yet, I highly recommend it!
Needless to say, I am VERY happy with her quality and service!!!

Thank you for a wonderful Art party we had for our daughter's 3rd Birthday! Kids and adults had so much fun-painting Frozen characters, decorating cupcakes and making snowballs! My niece loves to go to the space for open art play/classes so it seemed like the perfect place to hold her 2nd birthday party and it was! Shasta was incredibly nice and helpful (as she always is when we go). We opted for the cupcake decorating party because it appeals to kids and adults. The cupcakes were AMAZING! I've had more than my fair share of cupcakes and I can't stop raving about these! Shasta uses a secret recipe which is actually good because if I knew what it was I would eat them constantly. We had access to art supplies as well as decorating supplies and that helped with some of the short attention spans in attendance. I highly recommend Shastye for birthday parties. Had a very good experience at Astoria Play Space SHASTYE Art Gallery. Our 2 sons did a summer camp for a week, "clay all day" and they really had a great time and seemed so excited about their projects. Registration was easy, staff is very nice and helping.Very well organized for drop-off and pick-ups.And at the end of the week, you can get your children's art work.Overall VERY happy ! More...

My daughter has been attending classes at Shastye since the day it opened almost 2 years ago. I'm very grateful that we were lucky to get her started there at a really early age. It was worth every penny so far! At age 3 she by far supersedes her average age group in fine motor skills. Her drawing skills are on par with 5 year olds. She is at ~50 words in Spanish and progressing every week. Cooking class in Spanish? Yes! This place has a really sweet atmosphere and constantly rotating artwork, which keeps it fresh. Wonderful place for kids (and adults!). We always enjoy our time at Shastye with my 2 year old. The place is warm, very cozy (and super clean) and full of things to explore. I really like that there's a lot of focus on art and creativity. You can participated in a structured project with a teacher or wonder around and do your own thing if you feel like it (i.e. your kid feels like :))I also like the fact that it's always a multinational crowd. You hear all kinds of languages spoken (not only by kids and parents/care-givers but also teachers) which is great for kids. Haven't had a chance to experience all the things the place has to offer (yoga for kids, cooking classes for kids) but only hear good things about them. A great play space for kids. A lot of fun for a birthday party. Vera was entertaining the kids when we went. She was very good with the little ones and showed them a lot of creative art activities. I think some of the parents had just as much fun as the kids. The space is small but just enough for a good class size or a party. It's very clean and well organized. Bright and open. There are also some toys and puzzles for the kids if they want to take a break from the art. We loved it there and will definitely go back. Highly recommended. More...

I watch a 2 1/2 year old girl who has a yearly pass to Shasta's place. We've been going pretty frequently for months and she still hasn't gotten tired of it. When I arrive at her house in the morning she often greets me with, "art class!"Shasta's place provides a safe, warm environment for young children to interact while they enhance and explore their artistic abilities.
