Bristol Barn is on the grounds of Sinking Springs Farm. Ann grows herbs, flowers, annuals and perennials here. The barn seats 166 people. I attended a women’s retreat here. There was space for yoga outside, time for a music activity, space for catered buffet meals, adequate rest room facilities. The conference room is on second floor but there is disabled access.||Beautiful place for an amateur astronomer’s event also. Not much light pollution. More...

Went with a group of ladies to visit Ann for a few hours on Sunday afternoon as part of a birthday celebration excursion to Cecil County. She gave us a informative lesson on herbs and their uses and how to grow them. She also had some unique herbs available for us to purchase at a very inexpensive price. We toured her beautiful farm and the newly renovated barn (which is lovely and would make a great, unique place for a wedding or shower or even birthday party). We had a blast making our own custom pillow/room spray while Ann imparted her knowledge on the healing aspects of so many herbs and scents, as well as how to mix them and use them. She was so sweet and so much fun. We laughed a lot! I would recommend a visit to Sinking Springs for a fun and adventurous outing for you and your girlfriends. Ann offers lots of different classes and you can even opt to have lunch there. I really think you'd enjoy it. More...

A nice place for a wedding, nice and isolated with plenty of animals running around. I saw 2 deer the day I was there. Plenty of acreage to run around on and a couple of ponds and scenic places for photographs.

What a charming little stop for us! If you are looking for luxury, this is not for you. If you love rustic charm and being able to unplug and spend time with someone you love, this is the place. Ann was wonderful, and her breakfast was outstanding. This was the perfect halfway stop on our Boston to Savannah trip, and we cant wait to stop again when everything is in bloom. More...

Beautiful large property to get married!!! I used the barn for the reception and it had the perfect rustic feel. Warning: it is a barn with no ac, so it will be warm. But if you can get past that (or get married in the spring or fall) than this is a lovely spot to tie the knot! Thanks again Ann!!!! More...

Well I read a number of the other reviews and I need to say that I have mixed feelings about the negative ones. First of all, this farm is absolutely beautiful. The flowers, herbs and trees were full and aromatic. We arrived and were promptly greeted by the nicest woman in her cute little blue hat and welcoming smile. We had a tea already booked for 11:30 and headed over to the farm house, where we were served a very fresh and tasty lunch/tea. Ann uses her herbs, and the freshest ingredients in preparation of the meal. The iced tea was a wonderful combination of white mint, pomegranate, & other juices and so refreshing. Ann then took us on a tour of the herb farm. She is very knowledgeable and teaches you uses for the herbs. We also had our choice of making a Lavender sachet or an herb fussy-mussy (similar to a nosegay). ||Now if you expect to stay in an upscale, fancy cottage, you would be disappointed. The cottage was rustic, cozy and small. It was great for 2 women just wanting a "girls get-away" overnight. There was air conditioning, which we really needed since it was in the 90's. In the shade of the cottage we were able to sit outside on the porch and have our breakfast, which by the way, was the best oatmeal I've ever had. Ann cooks it in some kind of fruit juice and adds pears & raisins. Yummy! Since we were going birding very early, we requested our breakfast early. Ann was totally accommodating. I would stay there again if I wanted to go for 1 or 2 days to explore Cecil county and all it has to offer. There are hidden gems on the farm like a Revolutionary War graveyard, Labyrinth & Sycamore tree dating back to 1578. Ann also has a beautiful setting for weddings. More...

What can I say about Ann & Bill Stubbs? They are amazing! The whole herb farm is so beautiful you would think you were in a fairytale (or the Shire if you are a Tolkien fan)! The cottage is the cutest thing ever and breakfast each morning was outstanding!|| ||Ann, you are a gem, and your classes, tours, and luncheons are to die for!|| ||If you have the opportunity to go to Sinking Springs, be sure to do so. Take a class on green housecleaning, enjoy an herbal luncheon, or just pick up a few herbs to plant at home. Whatever you decide to do here, you will love it! More...
