Best Thai food I've EVER had! I had lunch there on Tuesday. Ate the leftovers yesterday and still can't stop thinking about it today! The coconut lemongrass soup was PEEERFECT! And the Pad Kapow ohmygawsh! Not to salty and the seasoning just exploded in my mouth like Kapow! When I ordered it the waiter said good choice ur gonna like it and he was RIGHT! The rice was perfect also! Man! It's a small restaurant right in Old town. If u go check out District Hemp also! They are right next to it across the street and amazing also! More...

I love this place and it never disappoints taste wise and quality is good! I ordered panang curry last night (seafood) and although it was good, it had more sauce than seafood for the extra charge. I would recommend this place but please make ratios of entrees reasonable next time! More...

Under New ManagementThis place was sold about a year ago I think.  I remember the previous owner was very hands on, and she was stressed.  She did almost all the cooking, and after the restaurant closed she went home to do the accounting.  She did a great job.  She ran a great restaurant and cooked some great, great food.  One of the waiters they had was I think a nephew or otherwise related to the owner.  He was cool, and I'm going to miss him.But the new management is still running a pretty good restaurant.  They seem to have tweaked the menu a little bit.  One thing that I think is new is the Royal Pad Thai.  It's pad thai with chicken prepared I think fried, and it is an awesome compliment to the traditional dish. They had a very friendly Thai waitress who was there every time we went.  We chat her up as much as we can asking about the restaurant and where she's from in Thailand.  But she hasn't been there lately, and the new waiters they have are weird. But when you get right down to it, you can't get better Thai food than this. - Family owned for 20 years - Very friendly owners and staff- Delicious, truly authentic Thai food- Relatively healthy (for dining out that is)! - Still very cheap after 20 years- Pleasant atmosphere- You can dress up or stay casualMy family and I have lived in Manassas for 20 years and we've come here often in our time. Their delivery service is also great, but going in to chat with the owner is well worth it. The mother and sons who own and operate the business came from Thailand and are both great cooks and treat their customers as they would want to be treated. Last time, one of the sons who we had seen many times, recognized us and just talked to us, even though it had been a few years since we had been able to dine in. He just chatted with us about the dishes: where they come from in Thailand, how the northern region cooks differently from the south, etc. he mentioned they used to have a dish that was on special sometimes, but not currently. My mom asked if she could try it anyway and he said "of course!" They whipped it up and it was delicious. More...

Very good. Probably the best Thai food I have had in years. I had spicy red curry with chicken plus nam tok. The rest of the group had pad Thai and seafood yellow curry. We hadn't been back often since the previous owner left. However, after a horrendous day, I suggested we visit them for a late lunch/early dinner. Service was impeccable and the food was superb. I am a vegetarian; my husband is not. I love heat; my husband can't handle it anymore. He had crispy duck, I had a wonderful spicy thick noodle dish (can't remember the name). B is for Best Thai experience ever! B is also the name of the exceptionally friendly server that helped my fiancee and I out today as we made our selections. Throughout our stay at Siam Classic, we were treated to top notch service and fantastic food. We loved everything that we ordered: fried tofu and vegetable dumplings to start, then Pra Ram Long Song, and Raddnar. We finished off the meal with some excellent mango sticky rice. I have eaten at a number of Thai restaurants, and I have to say that I think the portion sizes were perfect, especially for the sticky rice. The staff was very understanding of our various food allergies, and was quite helpful when we asked for recommendations. Everyone made sure that everything was to our liking, and that we received refills on our water before we even thought to ask for them. I can't actually think of anything we didn't enjoy. The only thing I would change is to remember to ask about spice levels, as I think I would have liked a spicier dish, but the flavors were so spot on that even then I think we were more than satisfied. The ambiance was charming, including the garden surrounding the restaurant. The overall appearance was clean, and understated in a way that felt welcoming. Everything was fresh and neat. I highly recommend that you check Siam Classic out if you feel like having great Thai food and an even better experience. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. In fact, we might just have to stop by a second time before we leave town. More...

Went there this evening and had a great time. We went for a spice rating of 6 and that was perfect but we did drink a lot of water . Service was excellent and when we asked about the Thai Basil in our meal and how we'd love to grow it they came back with a bag and shared how best to make it sprout! Very kind. Excellent food for dine in, carry out and even delivery at a reasonable price.  When you walk in it's a small place with typical Asian decor.  The menu is pretty standard for a Thai restaurant as well.  The food, however, is the best Thai I have had.  The meat and vegetables taste fresh and are not over cooked and dried out or mushy.  Most everything can be ordered with no heat, a little or a lot.  I like mine on the spicy side and it's a flavorful kick, as opposed to a cheap pepper spray taste. The service is prompt and food arrives quickly.  The food is only a couple bucks more a plate than cheap Chinese delivery and more than worth it.  They deliver too if you meet a minimum order size based on distance.  Overall you won't be disappointed here if you're in the mood for Thai. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. I've never actually gone to the restaurant because we've always delivered! . My husband and I order from here frequently and the food is always fresh and delicious. The delivery takes 30-45 min. But it always arrives hot and never cold. We typically get the drunken noodle or pad Thai and wonton soup, we've tried a few other things as well and have yet to be disappointed. Now, their spicy levels are on a whole other level, my husband gets his at a 3 and is comfortable eating but any higher and it would be too spicy, I think it goes up to 10. I always get no spice but the pepper flakes on the side ( those are hotter then your average pepper flakes too!) I really recommend this place to everyone! More...

After work one Friday night, my boyfriend and I were looking for a sit down, cozy Thai Restaurant and boy did we find it here. I had a bit of a cold so I ordered the wanton soup as an appetizer which was warm and yummy. Even my boyfriend liked it and he's not a big fan of soups like that. As an entree I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken which was a big enough portion and satisfying! My boyfriend ordered the spicy seafood combo which he thoroughly enjoyed. I loved that the menu had a range of different foods that makes you wonder and want to come back again to try again. I also like that the prices aren't that overpriced. We left feeling full and satisfied. The service could be a little more attentive to their customers but if you are looking for some good quality Thai food in Manassas, Siam is a great place to try and its located in Old Town so its a cute location to walk around after! I usually love everything I've tried, which is most of the menu.  Tonight... notsomuch. Chef Suggestion Crispy Beef supposedly has basil sauce. What I got was well-marinated beef cooked to the texture of a shredded tire with zero sauce. I had to make a sauce to give ANY moisture to the dish. It was still beyond redemption.Prior to tonight, I've  been generally pleased with food quality. Perhaps they were overly busy. Perhaps the food suffered from delivery. Some dishes, just not a fan. Perhaps aside. I's a $15 entree I do not care to eat more than 25%.For that, I'd have ordered dishes at which they excel and happily devoured. Measured unhappiness. I'll continue with them, but marking a few dishes off the list. That said, I still recommend for great Thai food in Manassas. More...

26 February 2016

Best Thai food in the area and they deliver as well. Please be mindful of their spice levels, they will ask you how hot and they use a scale of 1-10. I'm a huge spice fiend but can only get to a 7. If you're not sure you can always ask for a 1 or 2 and add more from the spice tray later. It's not usually provided but if you ask for the spice tray they will provide one right away. Their spice tray comes with (in ascending order of spiciness) white vinegar with peppers, fish sauce, chili paste, and chili flakes. If you're not familiar with Thai food a lot of people recommend the Pad Thai as your first meal but I think this is a mistake. Pad Thai's flavor is very different from many of the other dishes. I'd start with Pad See Ew. It's traditionally a little milder than other dishes and is very satisfying. Yelp is asking if it's 'good for kids'... Yes, if you have adventurous kids. Any dish can be made with a 1 or 0 level of spiciness, however there is no Kid's Menu with chicken tenders or french fries if that's what they eat. More...

I started coming here a few years ago for Thai food. It's in old town across from the motel. Notice their hot pepper vines on the side of the building. The front features a nice garden setting. Parking is behind the building or the side. Siam has a vast menu of entrees, appetizers, and beverages. Inside the tables are covered with maroon tablecloths and cushioned seats. It's small but quaint. I always order my 29 chicken with asparagus and 5 for heat. You choose the heat level 1-10. Service is always quick and polite. I have talked with the owner and she said they will deliver to my house if I order a set amount. Yeah! For those times I can't bring myself to get out and drive, this is great! I love the veggies in the 29 I order and you are given a side of white rice. The flavor is great! I do wish I had a touch more sauce to cover my rice. I appreciate the speedy service and never feel rushed or pushed to order. Thank you! More...

I love Thai food, so when co-workers from another office invited me to join them here I jumped at the chance.First off, the service here is really good. We were seated immediately and drink orders went in asap. I went ahead and ordered the Pad Prik Pao with beef. This is essentially stir fried onions, bell peppers, basil and beef in their house chili sauce. This comes with a bowl of white rice that you spoon your entree over. The spice scale that they use here is a little different than what I'm used to. It runs from 1 to 10 - and they consider 2 medium. A little strange, but I went for 6 which seemed to still be within my limited. I would probably go for a 7-8 next time (I like it spicy). The food came out very fast and I dove right in immediately. This one is a keeper - I would order it again here next time. Really flavorful and with the perfect amount of spice for me.My co-workers also like the drunken noodles and pad thai. This is the best Thai food in the area. The drunken noodles, coconut lemongrass soup and the vegetable pad thai are great. However, the best dish they have is the whole flounder. The spices in which they cook it, and the sauces available make it a great dish. This is a must if you like seafood. More...

We are in a couple of weeks ago and were wowed by the taste , freshness, and quality of the food. And the variety!!  We were pretty staid in our first visit so of course we ha the basil fried rice with pork, pad Thai, and crispy beef. What a treat that was with thinly sliced beef and crispy kale and a light, slightly salty and (not very) sweet sauce. We've had our next couple of meals take-out and tried some of the other dishes on the extensive menu. For my taste and pocketbook, the pork added as choice of meat is the best. Tonight our  latest crispy beef order on take out was not as good as previous orders - good tasting but without the crispy kale and the beef was thicker and not as crispy.  Not to worry - we'll be back. Easy parking in back and on the south side of the alley on south side of The restaurant. Very enjoyable experience dining in and really quick on carryout and take-out 15 to 20 minute!! More...

I had the occasion to visit Siam Classic while traveling in June 2015.  I was surprised and delighted to find that this hidden gem in the DC exurbs was as tasty as any Thai restaurant in a big city.  I had the drunken noodles and would have them again tomorrow, if I didn't live on the other side of the country!  If I ever find myself within 50 miles of Manassas again, I'll certainly be back. Best Place to get Thai in Manassas! Its a little hidden gem nestled in old town. Good prices and fresh food. Just a hint. I like spicy food . First time here I got an 8 on the 1 to 10 hotness scale and I didn't think it was that hot, so the next time I got a 10 and I still didn't think it was that hot. So if you like spicy food go for the 10. Its not as hot as they make it out to be. Now if I could only find a Chinese place in Manassas just as good! More...

We came in at 11 a.m. Just two people. We were sat down right away. The restaurant itself is beautiful and medium sized. I never really had Thai food before so I was exited. They had a very traditional looking place, fancy, and elegant When they gave us the menu there is a LOT to order from! They even have vegetarian options! I ordered the crab cake appetizer and sweet and sour chicken. First we got the crab cake appetizer and it was amazing and perfectly done. They later gave us a complimentary Thai soup witch was delicious. The sweet and sour was given on high platter and you had to put it on another plate yourself with rice. I guess that's how you eat Thai food. I was confused I looked silly. Later on I ordered the bubble strawberry drink. I never had one before and I think it was delicious. The staff refilled our drinks a lot and took our plates right after we finished eating so our table wouldn't get full. So so so much food but it was all worth it! For one crab cake appetizer, two sweet and sour chickens, a coke, and a bubble strawberry drink. We paid $30.00. We also have a $10 tip because you know they are great!Overall the food was amazing, the service was perfect, the atmosphere was friendly, and I would recommend for everyone to come here at least once. I really recommend the crab cake appetizer! I'm sorry the sauce it comes with is out of this world! More...

Stopped in for lunch today and it was virtually empty. Sat quickly and were servers promptly. The summer rolls were very visually pleasing but I'd say they need more chicken/shrimp. It was 95% cabbage and carrots and hardly any meat. But still, it was delicious and the peanut sauce was good. The pad Thai is a great serving size; I had leftovers and so did my dining companion. I'll definitely be back to order this dish, as it's as tasty as my favorite Thai restaurant back home. Here is my take on an awesome culinary experience with love poured into the food. I complained about the crispness of the kale on one of the signature dishes and the owner pops out of the kitchen, yanks my plate with apologies and brings me back a plate with Krispy kale. This was my second time here. Absolutely AMAZING food and great service. I've lived in Thailand and aside from a favorite restaurant in Hawaii, this is as close as I've had since Thailand. Tonight I had the Coconut Lemongrass soup with seafood, papaya salad and seafood pad Thai and a glass of plum wine. Everything was seriously incredible. One mistake I made was ordering it all together, as the Pad Thai came out very soon after the appetizers, which meant I was having a little of each at once instead of my appetizers first but it was so good I didn't mind. I feel like this restaurant is such well kept secret. Spread the word and try it out!!! The spice levels are described as 2 being medium, last to I ordered a 6 (out of 10) and bumped it up to 7, thinking last time was a fluke, and asked for the spice plate to adjust myself. It wasn't spicy at all, which again was fine since you can adjust it yourself. LOVE this place!!! More...

We ordered take out, but I wish we had eaten in. When we arrived the place was pretty empty, but looked nice. We got their green curry with duck, lamb curry, crispy beef, and the drunken noodles with shrimp. All of these I really enjoyed, but the crispy beef and drunken noodles were probably the best. I would definitely go back and order those to no end. A word on their spicy out of 10 rating system hen you order. They say 2/10 is medium. It actually probably is for people who don't regularly eat spicy food. Most of what we had was 5 or 6 out of 10. I eat a lot of spicy food and 6 was a great choice. I might have been able to do a seven and maybe eight, but maybe not. Anything over that would just be tasteless. My mother however thought the 5/10 was very very spicy. So - admittedly - this is a review from an individual who knows little about Thai food.  As a non-expert, I can't really rate how authentic the cuisine is. So with that as a qualifier, here is what I can say about the restaurant.  I ended up going with my tiebreaker to award it 5 stars.I went with two other folks.  We got Crab Rangoons and Spring Rolls for appetizers.  The Rangoons were extremely fresh and tasted wonderful.  The Spring rolls were actually slightly overdone.  It was noticeable in the wrappers, but the filling was spot-on, and also very fresh. For dinner we had Pad Thai, Pad Kapow, and a curry dish (I don't remember the distinct version)  Each of us enjoyed our meals and completely finished them.  No complaints from any of us.  They asked us how much "heat" we wanted with our meals.  My son had the curry and said "as hot as you can" - and went through a couple glasses of water during the meal (although I didn't think it was painfully hot.)  I said "medium warm" and went through one glass of ice water.  So I think it is a fair suggestion to go ahead and dial in a little more heat than you normally might.Although we were stuffed, we had time to kill.  My son had the cheesecake with mango.  It was a very good cheesecake - I didn't have any of the mango.  I had fried bananas with coconut ice cream.  The bananas tasted fine, but I didn't really like the consistency.  The coconut ice cream was GREAT (and I don't really like coconut.)  Next time I will get it by itself.  The only real critique on the food?  The coffee was not good, don't know if it was a bad pot or a consistent problem.Service was good and attentive, and they got everything correct.  But it was fairly quiet when we went in, so I would expect no complaints. So - I was torn - 4 or 5 stars?  Time for my tiebreaker.  I looked around the restaurant and at the floor.  The carpet was clean.  The walls and woodwork were worn, but  clean as well.  I went to the restroom.  Very clean!  Attention to detail makes all the difference in the world.  5 stars! We all decided we will be back to sample some other items on the menu.  A very enjoyable experience. It's been two years since my last visit so I've been overdue.Ben had the curry chicken and I had the baked salmon. We shared the crab ragoon appetizers and the larb gaa salad. The crab ragoon was excellent. Most times when I've tried this, they are dry and brittle with little flavor and taste. These were probably the best I ever had. They were moist, flavorful and delicious. The way they serve the larb gass was very different. You know how when you go  to PF Changs and you get the lettuce wraps? Thats they way they do it here, except for the lettuce didn't come off like it does at PF Changs and were not suitable for a wrap.We just cut the lettuce up and mixed it in with the salad. It was quite tasty, not too spicy or overpowering, you get a nice blend of spices and flavors.Ben was pleased with his curry chicken and said it was probably the best he had ever had.My salmon was excellent, great flavor and fresh. It was a nice sized portion as well and plenty for a meal. On the menu it says it comes with broccli and asparagus. I was surprised when there were also purple onions and red bell peppers. A lady came by, who we believed was the manager. I told her about it and she looked at the menu and agreed with me. She said next time, just tell them you don't want any peppers or onions and it's no problem...everything we make here is ...to order.Hmmm...isn't that good to know. The service here is really good. After lurking on Yelp for ages, I'm finally going to write a review.I know there are plenty of good reviews for this place already, but they are well-deserved and I think people need to know that this truly is a great local (non-chain) place to eat. We had the Lemongrass soup with chicken, wonton soup, sesame beef appetizer, Heavenly Shrimp, a fried shrimp appetizer whose name escapes me right now (it's not on their online menu), Pad Thai, and sizzling ginger beef.  We also had the Thai iced tea and I was pleasantly surprised to get a free refill. The lady who seated and served us was very nice and engaged in a little small talk with us.  There were other people who brought out some of our dishes who were very nice as well.By the time our entrees came out, we were the only table in the place but I could see how on a super busy night it could be crowded or loud.  The decor was a bit dated but the place is clean, and we agreed that we were there for the food, not the decor. It's funny that one of the other reviewers said the Pad Thai alone made the trip worth it.  I had made the comment while eating that even if all they served was the lemongrass soup and Pad Thai, I'd still want to eat there. Siam Classic ReviewI took to Yelp to find a good restaurant in Manassas, having only been in town one other time. Top of the list is Siam Classic, with over ninety reviews and maintaining almost a five star review. The only place that has more reviews is Okra's Cajun Creole, and third place goes to Tony's New York Pizza which had about fifty reviews. Clearly, Siam Classic is a very popular restaurant.Thai food isn't one I can clearly remember having in the past, so I thought we'd give it a go, and boy am I happy we did. The service was a bit more matter-of-fact than I'd like, but pleasant enough. The food on the other hand? Fantastic. It was one of the better meals I've had in my life. Stop reading my review, go there, and order the Royal Pad Thai. The server will ask you how spicy you want it on a scale of 1 to 10. I chose 9 and I think I should have just gone for 10. My wife went for 4 with her yellow curry and I think that was a good spicy for her.The Royal Pad Thai had perfect texture to it, incredibly pleasant chicken, very flavorful and I couldn't find a single thing negative to say about it. My wife's yellow curry was a wonderful flavor. Go there- spend your money and eat their food. More...

This was as good as all the 5 star reviews have said.  First time here and we were not disappointed.  The food was terrific, and I have FINALLY found a place that does not curry (heh. ..little thai joke there) to my biggest pet peeve - chefs who use a very heavy hand with the ingredients.  When I look at a plate of food, I don't want to feel stuffed before I even begin eating.  Using a light touch...why oh WHY doesn't anyone (but this place) know what that means !!?  I ordered the Pad Thai, and it arrived looking wonderful...the pieces of chicken were delicate in size and there were plenty, the peanuts were finely chopped, the scallions had some green and some white, it wasn't floating in sauce...it looked and tasted beautiful.  Can't remember the name of what my friend had, but it was just as good.  The waitress was great...always there with just what you needed right about the time you needed it.  Is there anything better than an experienced server...?  So, bottom line, GO TO THIS PLACE ASAP! The BEST Thai ever!!! Seriously, this is authentic, full of flavor and never super greasy like other Thai restaurants.  I moved 25 miles away recently, but I would drive back there just for the Pad Thai.  I've yet to find anything as good, some others are ok, but not close in comparison. More...

What better way to finish up an afternoon at the battlefield than with delicious Thai food! Don't miss this place. The beef appetizer was delicious. .. Tender strips of beef, broth- like flavorful sauce and white rice. The glass noodle soup and also the duck was delicious. If you want spicy, they can do that, too. Great, nice service. Cozy decor. Got there 30 minutes before closing time an they weren't creeps about it. Will make a point to come back. More...

I randomly chose this restaurant as a place to eat dinner with a friend and it paid off! It's a modest brick building with a small parking lot in the back. The wait staff were all very friendly - they gave us the perfect amount of attention. We ordered Curry Puffs, Drunken Noodles with tofu, Basil Fried Rice and Mixed Cashew Nuts with chicken. The portions were good and all the dishes were consistently delicious. I ordered a strawberry bubble drink that tasted refreshing ... like dessert in a glass. Many Thai restaurants I have eaten at were not very clean which is a turnoff, but I am happy to report this is not the case at Siam Classic. I look forward to returning here to eat ... the food is addictive. More...

My roommate and I order from this place all the time.  Food is great, delivery time is pretty fast.  My favorite it the Beef Kapow (Basil).  It's fantastic.  And I love the fried tofu!!It's not very often when you order something "spicy" it actually comes spicy.   I ordered level 3, and it was almost too hot for me.  I've learned my lesson, I stick with level 2. I thought I was tough... I was wrong! Also, when ordering delivery and paying with cash, I advise you tell them to bring change.  On more than one occasion we have tried to break a $20.00 and ended up having to give the delivery driver a $14 to $15 tip.I always look forward to Thai night in our house! I was first introduced to Siam Classic this past summer. One taste and we were eating there at least twice a week for the next 4 weeks or so, but as inexpensive as they are that was really adding up so we're down to one huge order on average at least once a week. The absolute fave dish that we can't seem to move away from is Pad Curry with Shrimp - usually level 3. Some weeks it tastes better (more perfect) than others but always good so still giving it 5 stars. Some weeks we also combine with Pad Curry Crab Fried Rice. Delicious entree that we buy as a side for all to share. Most of the time we do carry out or delivery but have eaten in on 2 or 3 occasions. Agree that service is exceptional - very welcoming, friendly and attentive. More...

Went here for a holiday get together and I was thoroughly impressed.  The spicy coconut soup I got for an appetizer was beautifully presented in Thai porcelain.  My pad Thai was also good.  The service was very quick and the price was certainly right.  If in the area, I would definitely come back.  Next time, though, I think I will order up on the spice level (I think i did 4 chilis and it wasn't spicy enough for my palliate) and I would probably also ask for a stronger Thai iced coffee.  But again, that's just a personal taste issue for me.Since the place is pretty small and gets packed, I would definitely recommend a reservation for a large party. My wife and I used to order delivery from here on occasion about a year or two ago, but when we moved to a new neighborhood in town that is still being developed, we stopped ordering there because we found it too much of a pain to explain to delivery drivers where we live, when our address doesn't come up on MapQuest or Google or GPS. I have just recently become a Yelper, and I try to not review a place unless I have eaten there recently, because we all know how fast a restaurant can go downhill. So last night, the wife and I were hungry for Thai, and decided to place a pick-up order at Siam Classic. It did not disappoint.I was told when I placed the order that they would have it ready when I got there, so come on over. Parking was easy and convenient (if you know Old Town) but I can imagine it being a pain on a busy night. The food was ready when I arrived and the staff was pleasant. I had never been inside before - it is smaller than I thought, but quaint. I will bring my extended family here for a future dinner. The food was basically as I remembered it two years ago. I ordered my go-to appetizer, the Crispy Beef appetizer. This was the only slight disappointment - the sticky rice that came with it was good but not as flavorful as I remembered. My wife got the fried crab rolls appetizer, which are basically crab balls, and they were outstanding. For entrees, my wife got her usual pad thai with shrimp, while I got the Chu Chee with beef from the specials menu. The wife loved her dish, and the Chu Chee was excellent, very smooth and flavorful.Spice level here seems to be a bit lower than most places. I ordered my dishes at a 10 spicy, and they seemed to be what most places would call a 7 or 8. I certainly felt the kick (especially later that night) but I've had hotter "10's". Entrees seem to be on par or maybe a tad higher than other Thai places, and food portions about the same or maybe a tad smaller. But the quality of the food makes up for any of the perceived shortcomings in these areas.I have several times eaten at what many consider the top Thai restaurant in America - Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas. And I can tell you that Siam Classic is my second favorite Thai place (nothing beats Lotus). I certainly haven't eaten at every Thai place in the DC area, but I doubt that there is one better. I took our waiter's advice on the "heat" level to add to my dish.  I am glad I did. Siam Classic is a true Manassas gem. I actually ate there opening day about 7 years ago. The food was great back then, and has consistently remained fantastic since. I have an office around the corner, and find myself eating there at least 2 to 3 times a week. If you like Thai, they are definitely worth the drive. The only complaint I have would be parking. One word: Yummy!! :)We found the gem in Manassas and it's oh-so-delicious! We've ordered a handful of times since we found it about a month ago. The food is always fresh and we always try something new - so far, everything has been really tasty and we have no complaints. Pros:- the owner is very friendly, and invited us to come dine-in since we've only had the delivery option- the delivery guy for us has always been the same, he's well mannered and when we ordered during the hurricane (it took 45 mns, but the food was still piping hot), he apologized for taking so long. - everything is really fresh and they never get our order wrong.Cons:- we wish the portions were a little bigger.. we ordered the drunken noodles, and were surprised that there wasn't that much of it (after 1 serving each with other dishes, it was pretty much gone which is unusual for most dishes we've had)All in all - we are so glad to have a delicious delivery Thai food place that is so close to us. This is definitely one of our go-to restaurants in the area! More...

Siam Classic is legit! My sister planned a birthday dinner for my mom (happy 50th!!) here, they had both been before but I was a first timer. This was my first thai experience and it was heavenly! I wasn't sure about the spice level,  but our server was very helpful and informative. I've been back several times since, the owner is friendly, and the servers are very knowledgeable. I know the owner and staff pretty well.  I used to go to another Thai Restaurant down the street, but one day I was working from home and wanted Thai food and some change-- I tried Siam Classic. The food was so good, that I returned again for dinner, then again that week 2 more times.Since 2007, I have become close friends with the staff and owner.  I know them and they know me and my girlfriend by name and how my family is doing.  They are indeed a family restaurant. If it was not for this single restaurant I would still be only eating Beef Basil at any Thai Restaurant around the world (OK, I went out of the country once, but I got Thai food there too).  Beef Basil is my comparison dish.If you don't make your food with the ingredients listed on the menu, then I probably will not like it as much.  I like surprises, not in my meals.Unchalee, Op, Kevin-- keep up the good work. Consistently excellent food from appetizers to entrees.  Even the Thai Iced Coffee is very very good. I'm not going to get specific to many dishes since they have been uniformly good. The only one I was a little disappointed in, though it is still a decent version, was, oddly Pad Thai. The service is excellent, surroundings pleasant, and the staff generally very nice and professional. All in a highly recommended place. Be aware that you choose the hotness levels from 0-10 there and above 5 according to the staff gets VERY hot. Personally, I think 3 is even hot - my limit. Siam Classic is truly a unique gem in Old Town Manassas. The food is authentic and flavorful (I especially like the lemongrass soup), the waitstaff is attentive (the manager almost always comes to check if everything is going okay), the prices are reasonable, the portions are just the right size, and the decor is very "zen. " If you're lucky, you can get the "VIP" parking spot on the street right by the front door. But, if not, there is always plenty of parking in the rear. However, I've found that getting spicy food is hit-or-miss here. I've gone to some Thai places where requesting a spiciness level of 6/10 will have me tearing up and sweating. That is not the case here -- I asked for that level of spiciness and could not even notice any heat. Perhaps they think I'm not able to handle the spice; I don't know. Regardless, out of all the Thai restaurants in Manassas, this will always be my favorite. More...

Loved this place! I'm a big fan of thai, but I'm always skeptical of new places (why change the old when it's so good, right? ). I was planning to come down from MD to see my boyfriend, and I was really craving some good thai, so I started looking for a place with good reviews in the area, and came across this little joint.Oh. My. Gosh. It was better than my usual place (Thai Tanium up in MD). The service was spectacular, the food was excellent. My boyfriend went with the medium Pad Thai with seafood (shrimp, scallops, and squid), I chose the mild Pad See Wai with chicken. Both were excellect. The Fresh  Summer Rolls were an amazing appitizer, and the Mango Sticky Rice was AWESOME!Just make sure when you come, you park in the lot to the left of the building! After reading all the reviews I decided to try their Mai Thai.  Have to say it was very refreshing and not too sweet with a hint of sour. Waitress made a mistake when I told her I wanted the Pad See Eew and I guess she wrote down #21.  When they brought out the Pad Curry I decided "what the hey" and tried it.  WoW! just found a new staple in my regular dishes at The Classic.  I love their curries and their noodle dishes; never had thought to order the dish that combines them both.Got the Chicken Satay, which unfortunately they told me the peanut sauce isn't spicy because other Americans complained.  No biggie cause they have a nice assortment on their spice tray.  Chicken is moist and bursting with flavor.  Its a must try.Again, keep up the good work Siam Classic. I have never eaten at this restaurant, but someday I will. I live about 1.5 blocks away and have had takeout dinner from here about six times. (They do deliver for those further out but I would rather pick up - see below). Highly recommended are:Heavenly Shrimp (appetizer) - tender shrimp fried spring-roll style in extra crispy wrappers with a light sweet & sour dipping sauce. They look great, they taste great and the texture is amazing. This is one of the best Asian dishes I have ever had. They slit the takeout containers to keep them from getting steamed so they always come back to us just right. Outstanding!Crispy Beef (appetizer or entree). This is the closest thing I have had in this area to Szechuan Beef Proper, a favorite of mine from Peking Gourmet in Falls Church. The texture is good- a little softer with a light sauce - but the big Siam Classic twist is the addition of Thai basil which works really well in this dish.We also have also had the Drunken Noodles and try to sample something new every time. Our goal is to try everything on the menu - all of it is really good.Another thing to note is that the charming owner and her sons are especially friendly. I don't know how many times I have come to pick up my food and have stayed for several minutes chatting with them. I never feel like "an order." I work with my own family at a small business and I appreciate the same. So it is very heartening to see these sweet people doing well, in spite of their small building, because of their great food. Siam Classic is a wonderful hidden gem in Old Town Manassas. If you are ever visiting the DC area, Manassas is only about 45 minutes away and a VRE train stop drops you off only a few blocks away. There food is always amazing. We usually order the Spring Rolls, Pad Thai,  House Fried Rice, and Thai Iced Tea. The service is usually pretty good, but sometimes they don't have enough servers if they get a rush of people and some staff have been moody before. The last time we were there, a few weeks ago now, they didn't have thier central AC working and the outside temperature that day was about 95. They had a floor AC on, but that barely made a difference. It was very uncomfortable and one couple came in, ordered, noticed how horribly tropical it felt indoors, and they left. The food was still good, but the environment that day was pathetic. It had never been like that before, so hopefully they fix that or we won't go back. Also, the portions of food seem to be getting smaller as the prices stay the same or go up. We would love to go there again, but we'll call first if it's in the summer to make sure the AC is working!! More...

When it comes to Thai food in the area, this has got to be my favorite.  I've been to several, including the other one in Manassas along with ones scattered about the rest of Northern VA and this is definitely the freshest tasting one I've had.  Out of the countless times I've eaten at Siam Classic I believe I've only had 2 or 3 times where the food wasn't quite as fresh as it usually is or perhaps they mixed up the spice level between my dish and someone elses at our table.  The latter can be a bigger problem as I usually like it very spicy and can they do spicy.  We almost always wind up getting thai iced tea, coconut lemongrass soup and one of the wide rice noodle dishes (Pad See Eiw, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, etc).  They ask you how spicy you want it on a 1-10 scale.  Don't let that fool you though, you can go even higher if you want.  They always have (in season at least) fresh mint, peppers and tomatoes growing on the property.  The coconut lemon grass soup is fantastic.  All ingredients are very fresh and make the soup very flavorful.  The wide rice noodle dishes are cooked just right.  The noodle not so soft that it breaks apart the moment you touch it, but staying together just long enough to take a bite.  Also the vegetables are always cooked just right, not soggy at all, always nice and crisp still.  And to top it off, it's so amazingly cheap.  Usually for myself and my wife it comes to around $25 with the two drinks, two soup and two noodle dishes (the soup comes with the dish).  We always wind up taking some home so it's not like it's a small portion either.  Recently we've been ordering one separate soup (larger than the soup that comes with the dish), the soup that comes with the dish, and the dish and it's still plenty of food.  The place is rather small though and often times while it's busy you're very close to another table full of people.  But what the place is slightly lacking in atmosphere, it makes up for in the food.  Oh, and the service, always extremely friendly and quick. Looks can be deceiving... but dont let this play fool you!  The restaurant is well hidden in Old Town Manassas on a small side street.  The first time I went here my dad brought me and I was a little skeptical of Thai food in general.  However, I have fallen in love with both Thai food and this place since then.  I have been to a bunch of Thai restaurants since my obsession began but this one continues to be my favorite by far.   When my parents asked where I wanted to go for my ceremonial birthday dinner, I answered Siam Classic without hesitation.  Every dish I have ever had here in the 4 times I have been has been excellent.  I highly recommend the Chicken Pra Ram Long Song (chicken with a creamy peanut sauce), a dish that I get everytime I go here.  The service is also very good.  This place is awesome and I dont think you will be disappointed by visiting this Thai restaurant off the beaten path. I have been to many thai restaurants, in different states that i've been to. This is by far the best ever.. HANDS DOWN. I ordered to-go and ended up dining in because the people were so nice and made me feel very comfortable. The owner is such a sweet lady, and her husband and nephew were some cool fellas. I loved the place before I even tried one bite of my food.. I ordered the sesame noodle with chicken. The owner insisted that i break out my food right there on the spot and give it a try. So i did! And I can't even describe how good it tasted. They have a menu that is constantly growing. So many dishes to choose from.. Most of the places I go to usually have the same stuff, which was kinda ok because there are alot of Thai dishes I like. But this place is amazing, so many items on the menu and new things for me to try. I picked "5" on the 1-10 spiciness scale. Actually I said 7 at first until i was warned what I was getting into. So 5 it was, and boy was it SPICY!!! I might get 3 next time, lol. Best experience I've had at a Thai restaurant.. By far. Im new to manassas and already have been to every thai spot.. No need to go anywhere else.. THIS IS IT! More...

Siam Classic has been my go-to for Thai food, almost from the first day they opened.  Tucked away in small little side street, which more closely resembles an alley, in Old Town Manassas, it's beyond a doubt worth looking for.  Actually, it's become a little easier to find now that a there is a big bank right across the street that you can use as a landmark. The service, whether you dine in or carry out, is always so friendly and efficient.  I normally do carry out and when I come in the restaurant, which is pretty small, is normally close to full.  However, the front of house (who, I believe, is the owner) is always there to greet me and personally attend to my pick-up.I absolutely love the larb chicken and house beef salads.  Seasoned with the familiar lime-fish sauce dressing, these two dishes can hold up as a small meal just on their own.Their noodle dishes are terrific.  You might think its hard to mess up Pad Thai but if you ever been somewhere that didn't do it well, you'll appreciate the way Siam Classic pulls it off.  The Drunken Noodles (which I like with beef) are worth veering of the diet for.The veggies in the entrees are curries are fresh and crisp.  The basil, lime, garlic and ginger (when the dish uses them) are never overpowering - they work in the type of harmony that Thai food is famous for.One word of advice - they will tend to err on the side of not blowing your mouth out with spice.  The way work on a scale of 1 to 10.  If you really like your food spicy you'll need to jump up to a 7 or 8.  Asking for a 5 will give you a noticable kick but nothing that a spicy food fan couldn't handle. This place is a little hard to find but worth visiting.  I had the Pad Thai and it was delicious, and the servings were very generous.

This restaurant is KILLER. I live about two blocks away from Siam Classic, and it's become my always-sounds-good option for those days when I just don't see myself putting dinner together at home. What makes Siam Classic awesome?1. kickass appetizers (fried tofu and chive dumplings FTW)2. super tasty noodle dishes (the drunken noodles..rawr...)3. excellent fried rice (for the thai-phobes, like my husband)oh, and let's not forget that it's4. totally cheapAnd they've got a veg menu, too. GodDAMN, I do love me some bean sprouts. More...

Fantastic Thai food in a location I'd never have found without Yelp.  This little restaurant is very easy to access but with the front facing a side street I've lived in the area for 8 years and never seen it.  Great service and some of the best Thai food I've ever had.  They have a spicy-rating system that goes from one-10 and will advise you that, for the typical American palette, medium is 2:) More...

This was my favorite Thai spot in Gainesville/Manassas until the Zabb train rolled into town. Still, I love the location and the owners so I make a point of stopping in here from time to time. Everything I've tried has been distinctive, flavorful and bold. Freshness rules the day, and the veggies take equal billing with meats in everything.  What sets them apart however are the more unusual dishes - and the real reason I keep coming back. There is one appetizer in particular, that has shredded coconut, peanuts and a sweet sauce, on some sort of leaf - and its just amazing! This is what Thai food is all about, not just basil and chilis but tropical and aromatic. I love it. More...

The best Thai food in the area. Have had a variety of dishes here, all of which are excellent! I still have yet to try their Pad Thai, though I hear it is great too. Everything is very fresh and perfectly prepared. Some of my favorites are the Rice Noodle Soup, Pad Kapow, Sizzling Ginger not to mention some of the off menu items/seasonal specials, just ask them for their suggestions. I also appreciate the large heat scale, since I like it hot, #7+ for me, but some may like less or no heat. Very nice cozy atmosphere, friendly staff round out the experience. More...

My girlfriend and I were visiting the Manassas area and had no idea where to find a vegan-friendly restaurant (besides the usual Chipotle) so I did a quick search on my phone and found this place. It is kinda hidden in old town, and doesn't look like anything special from the outside, but the food was really good and the service was great too! They have a separate section on the menu for vegetarian appetizers. We ended up getting three appetizers because we couldn't choose! The vegetable dumplings, fried tofu, and spring rolls were all delicious. The fried tofu was still moist on the inside, whereas most other restaurants overcook it and it's hard and dry. There's also a separate section on the menu for vegetarian entrees(there are only 3 listed), but you can order most of their entrees with vegetables and tofu instead of meat. We ordered the drunken noodles with tofu and vegetables. They asked us how spicy we wanted it on a scale of 1-10 and we said 5 to be safe since we had never eaten there. We figured we could always add more spice if it wasn't hot enough... but that wasn't necessary. It was awesomely spicy! For dessert we split the mango with sticky rice, which was also delicious. If we lived in the area, we would totally be regulars at this place! More...

We ordered takeout and it was delicious! We ordered Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles and their house fried rice. All the dishes were great! Fresh, good flavor and just the right amount of spice. I appreciated the fact that the gentleman taking our order broke down the level of spiciness. I ordered the equivalent of a 3 according to the gent and it was perfectly spicy! I also thought it was neat that they wrote the number on the carton indicating how spicy your dish was. We will definitely go back and this time we'll eat in. The lady who greeted us was courteous and friendly (I'm thinking she is the Owner) It's a gem and in such a charming part of Old Town Manassas. Also, as we were walking out to our car, we noticed they had fresh herbs, I'm thinking basil growing right outside their restaurant! Now that's fresh! More...

Top notch Thai.  I'm a bit outside of their delivery area but they have always delivered to me, which is nice.  They put out coupons regularly with a half price entree if you purchase another at menu price and they accept the coupons on delivery too, cool!  Dine in experience has always been a delight as well. There were four of us at the table.  Can you guess how many dishes were in front of us?  I won't say, but you can do the math. Appetizers ordered:Chicken SataySesame BeefDuck SaladGolden Bag (get your mind out of the gutter; I had to do the same)Entrees ordered:Sesame Noodles w beefRed Curry with chickenHouse SeafoodIt's easier to say what I didn't go crazy over:  red curry, duck salad and chicken satay.  That's not to say I didn't enjoy them, they just didn't blow my dress up.  The sesame beef and sesame noodles were *outstanding*.  Seriously.  I would order them over and over I enjoyed them so much.  I also thought the sauce for the house seafood dish was wonderful with rice and it was also heavy with seafood (I liked the scallops the most).  Service was a real knockout.  The woman (I presume owner) was extremely nice to us and bent over backwards to ensure our dining experience was a pleasurable one.  I'd certainly return if I were in the area. The almost unanimous 5 star reviews for Siam Classic was enough to lure me all the way out to Manassas.  Well, that and talk of a nearby mini golf place and several stops for frozen dairy!  We came for lunch on a Saturday and it was kinda empty.  The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and we got our tomes of food, i.e. menus.  HUGE books with pages and pages of food.  I didn't quite understand the organization as I saw appetizers on at least 3 different pages, but I was able to sift through it all.  We remarked at how cheap everything was but maybe it's because we're so used to DC prices.  But then they say "oh, we gave you the wrong menus.  Those are the dinner menus.  Lunch menus have cheaper prices".  Really  Even cheaper than this  No complaints here!We went with 3 or 4 appetizers and all were great.  In particularly I liked the sesame beef.  The waitress had informed us that they were offering a special appetizer that day which is apparently in high demand and very common in thailand.  I love it when thai places have specials but we stuck with our appetizer order. For main course, I went with my standard drunken noodles, extra spicy.  I had the feeling they would doubt my heat tolerance so when they asked how spicy I looked him in the eye with a stern glance and said "As hot as you can go.  Seriously.  I want tears and snot."  Well when the food came out, they definitely obliged!  Siam Classic will forever hold a place in my heart as the first thai place that has given me a satisfactory amount of base heat without needing the spice rack.  That is quite a feat!So overall, 4 shared appetizers, and an excellent meal cost me around $12.  A great value.  I'd like to return to try some of their specials.  If you live in the Manassas area, Siam Classic is an absolute must.  In my neck of the woods though, there is such a selection of excellent thai food that it's not quite enough to lure me out consistently, but if I'm in the area I'm definitely coming back! Siam Classic is just one of those gems that has something for everyone in your group. The menu is huge. While we perused the dinner menu but then were given the correct lunch menu, the conversation went something like: "Ooooh. ..did you see that? Where? Page 4. Wait but what about this....on page 8?" So it goes unsaid that it took awhile for us to decide because everything sounded awesome. While we waited for the last member of our party to arrive, we split some appetizers: spring rolls, calamari, fried wontons and the sesame beef. The spring rolls were nice and crispy with a tasty sauce - the wontons were alright. The calamari were like giant onion rings and were not too greasy. The sesame beef was perfect and was accompanied by some delicious sticky rice.I ordered the duck salad because by the time we ate all of the starters, I wasn't feeling the need for something heavy. Plus, with mini-golf right after lunch, I knew there would also be a frozen dairy run so I needed the room. The duck salad was just what I needed. It was light and fresh, full of shredded roasted duck, lots of veggies and cilantro and a tasty vinaigrette. I'd definitely order this again. While it's not likely I'll be back in Old Town Manassas any time soon, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Siam Classic to others who live closeby. It's a solid place for delicious Thai. More...

I went out on a limb at Siam Classic... i didn't get my typical Pad See Ewe.  I just had so many options...even for lunch. .. i had to try something else!   And thats what i did.   I tried the basil chicken.... for some reason called Pad Kapow!   Now those of you who know me well that the word kapow! is not in my dictionary.   However it was not spicy and was just incredibly delicious.  Absolutely awesome.  Plenty of garlic, plenty of flavor, plenty of awesomeness.   I really liked it.We also split a bunch of appetizers... spring rolls, calamari, won tons and seasame beef.  All were delicious.  I really liked the seasame beef and could have eaten the whole thing myself!Service was fantastic and friendly... my diet coke never seemed to get empty.  All in all it was an absolute great mealSo why no five stars  i gotta go back and try their pad see ewe before i make that jump! This place is a bit hard to find in Old Town Manassas. (Resides right across the street from the haunted hotel in Manassas). But boy is it worth the exploration! This place has dynamite Tom Yum and the drunken noodles were unforgettable. The service is very good too. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Manassas.  My husband and I have varying tastes when it comes to Thai, and Siam Classic really delivers.  Plus - they make the best Mai Tai I have ever had when not on a tropical island - and you can take that to the bank, baby!I try to order something outside my comfort zone each time I come here, and I am never disappointed.  Seafood is NOT something I am a fan of, so I avoid those dishes, but I have tried a variety of other things on the menu and always been delighted.  My husband, who is MUCH more conservative, gastronomically speaking, also manages to be adventurous and venture out into unknown areas while at Siam Classic, and he also manages to always choose something delicious.  I think they just don't make a bad dish, to be honest. The folks who run the place are very nice, always very helpful when you don't quote know what you might be eating - we aren't really Thai experts, and there's nothing worse than guessing at your meal.  And, like I said, having those Mai Tais - it's like a little slice of Hawaiian heaven right here at home. And then, of course - the sticky rice and mango at the end - sheer perfection!  Well, my husband gets coconut ice cream, but what does he know?  Sticky rice with mango is food of the gods, and Siam Classic does it very well.I recommend this place, absolutely - have a Mai Tai for me! If it was possible to give 6 stars, I would do so in a heartbeat.  This place has hands-down the best Asian food for 100 miles in any direction.  I've tried every Thai restaurant in the DC area that I can find and no place else even holds a candle to Siam Classic.  It's one of those hidden gems that, if there was any justice in the world, would be located much much closer to DC.Siam Classic is also unique in that they will make your food as spicy as you want.  No, seriously, if you ask them to make it Thai hot, you'll get something legitimately Thai hot.  If you ask them to make it hotter than Thai hot, they'll do that too.  I ordered a "20" (compared to the usual 1-10 scale) sizzling ginger chicken and it made my eyes start to water before I even started eating.  And they'll make it up to "50" if you ask.I have never before in this country had food that was as hot as I like, but they did it.  And as hot as it was, the flavor was still amazing! If you love Thai food, especially really hot Thai food, you MUST try this place. After reading about Siam here on Yelp as well as also living 5 mins away from this place I decided to try it. I took my friend who had never had Thai before and we both LOVED it. I got the basil chicken and he got drunken noodles, both made to order at "American spicy" It had just the right amount of heat and flavor that it delicious. I also ordered the mango sticky rice afterwards which was also very good. The owner of the place is so nice and talked to us. She told us that every dish could be customized to order with anything added or taken out as well as the heat factor. We will both definitely be back!! More...

I have relatives out in Haymarket who complained that there were no really good restaurants in this area.  To which I replied that there really were and with the help of Yelp, I picked this restaurant.  Saturday night was cold and rainy and all around miserable.  But once we stepped into this cozy establishment, we were treated to a warm welcome and immediate seating.   We ordered the golden bag, chicken sate, and chives dumplings for appetizers.  The golden bags were deep fried pork in a wonton wrapped like a pouch.  They were nice and crispy without being greasy.  The chicken sate came with a wonderfully balanced coconut and curry sauce.  The chive dumplings had great herb flavors.  Our next course was some duck salads.  The salads are served in a fish sauce vinaigrette that reminds me of vietnamese nuoc mam.  It was really well balanced and the duck was nicely gamey with some really flavorful fat and skin parts.  Our entrees were the drunken noodles with seafood, crispy beef and classic duck.  All of which were excellent.  I ordered my classic duck with some heat and they obliged with a good bit of peppers and spice.  We finished off the meal with some bubble tea.If this place was near me, it would be on my regular lunch rotation.  That duck salad would likely be a staple entree for me.  The service was attentive and expedient and my friends were happy to know that they were not as deprived of good eating establishments as they had previously thought. A really great Thai place in Old Town Manassas.  I would say it's the best based on how much people rave about this, but I haven't been to other so I'll say it's just great. This small hut-like house where the restaurant is at is well-decorated with ornate dark wooden carving trimming the bar.  The service was extremely friendly and very accommodating for the large lunch party i was with.  And the food was excellent.  My chicken something Kapow was very tasty and aromatic with fried basil (I'm a sucker for anything with basil).  Each entree comes with a small soup.  I wimped out and got the wonton soup (which wasn't too bad, but there's not much into wonton soup), but I wish I didn't get scared off from the spiciness of the lemongrass soup.  Portions are large and the price was very reasonable ($7.95 for a large serving with rice and the soup).  While small the fried bananas wrapped in wonton skin served with coconut ice cream really hit the spot.  If I were in this part of town again I'll definitely stop by this place and try their other dishes.
