Stopped by this Bakery Café on a Friday afternoon for a bite to eat and something sweet. Walked in and was promptly greeted and then was allowed to look around and place my order with out being hassled or bombarded with questions. I ordered two slices of cake (Strawberry and Key lime) and an Apple Fritter. All three items were divine, moist, bursting with flavored yet understated. This was my first time visiting Shugga Hi and I do say that it was amazing. My two brothers took me for my birthday. The owner came up to us introduced herself and shook our hands. There was live entertainment, the owner and the whole restaurant sung Happy Birthday and danced with me, and the food was amazing. Before I left the owner gave me a hug. My daughter wanted to come here for a while but haven't had a chance.  Lucky for me today is the day. Loved everything about this place.  The owner greeted us upon entering and seated us. The musician at the piano was playing lots of oldies and  her music was noticeable but not loud ( kind of important because I hate go to a place the music is so loud so everyone has to be loud to communicate) the owner (Kathy) checked on us few times during our lunch and refill our water. Ever since I moved to Nashville, I've been looking for delicious, authentic soul food! Thank goodness my realtor recommended this place! ! It was so yummy!! Please do yourself a favor and order the Peach Sangria! I felt like I was at my cousins house, not a restaurant.
