Me and my friend wanted to try something new but in the area of Rancho Santa Margarita.  Sheesh in Lake Forest sounded like a good option! Cute quick service restaurant with plenty of indoor seating and nicely decorated. My friend wanted the half chicken but they were out of it unfortunately. So he got a chicken skewer plate and I got the lamb shank osso bucco.  I've big piece of lamb and it was tasty! Nice rice and salad included along with some pita bread! I love this place.  The food is very good, and the people working here are super nice people.  I ordered the beef shawarma plate today and it is absolutely delicious.  It tasted just as good as it looks.  Again, the staff are super friendly and nice.  Very accommodating too.However, don't come here if you are in a rush.  You need around 30 minutes to order and get your food, even if your order is to go.So, is it worth the wait?  Absolutely!  I will continue coming here. I am a happy man! There is finally true authentic and absolutely delicious Lebanese food in Orange County and I don't have to drive to San Dimas for it. The food and service is so exceptional, it's like you walked in to your Uncle Nick's (owner) house and he just finished making your favorite dish with the purest of Lebanese hospitality. The service is great! As soon as they realize that it's your first visit they give you samples. The food was so flavorful. Each bite was as good as the first. We shared a shrimp plate and chicken plate. The shrimp was succulent and the chicken was moist. The rice was so good. It's my daughter's birthday and they sang to her, but it wasn't the obnoxious and embarrassing happy birthday song. I highly recommend this restaurant! More...

This place was top quality! I had the shawarma plate. Everything on the plate was so good! Very authentic. Chicken was season perfectly and was nice and juicy. I love the tabbouleh! Excellent flavors, fresh ingredients, friendly service. Really enjoyed our meal. We had an order of baba ghannouj (smoky flavor, delicious), grape leaves (tangy and tasty), kafta burgers with salad and fries (outstanding). We will be back!

This is about my fifth Mediterranean type food local restaurant I have tried and by far the best. What I loved was that the food was delicious and flavorful and not overly salty. The salad was perfectly dressed and not drenched in dressing. I got the veggie plate which I thoroughly enjoyed with the best dolmades I have had. The baba ganoush, hummus and falafel were all just perfect. My husband got the chicken schwarma which he said was really good.The inside was very nice with all of the wood which gave it a nice feel. I just found this place and was delighted with the food! I was wanting something fresh and healthy and I found it. I couldn't eat my entire meal so now I have another meal for later.  I wasn't sure what to order, and then I saw a beautiful plateful of something delicious being served to some one and asked what it was and that is what I asked for. Instead of beef 'Shawarma' plate I asked for chicken. I have finally found a Lebanese restaurant that makes me taste what I grew up with!! My best friend(s) of 60 years are Lebanese. I grew up in their kitchen(s) with their moms teaching us how to cook. I have now made Sheesh my Friday stop and order something different each week.  The Chicken shawarma is great...seasoned to perfection.  I am picky about my hummus theirs is..."why would I bother to make mine" great and their Baba ghanoush is with out a doubt the best I have ever had. Whatever you get order the Spicy Potatoes too!  The Fried Kibbe great...and they look like little footballs...great for Super Bowl!  The vegetable Platter, the Fattoush (salad)...omg the garlic!, pitas yum!!  I am working my way through the menu....next week the Dolmas (and of course the potatoes). Great food.The shawarma wraps are my go to, beef and chicken and felafel are all good. They have French fries inside, and pickles, neither of which I normally like but in the wrap it works together really well. The best part is the garlic tasting sauce. Really really good. We really enjoyed the food here! Ordered the beef shawarma plate which was a huge plate loaded with hummus, salad, rice, mint leaves, and shawarma beef. The salad was fantastic, a Greek style with cucumbers, romaine, awesome tangy dressing. The rice complimented the shawarma beef (al pastor literally copied shawarma, the original spit fire meat). We also ordered the lamb kabob wrap which contained tender, well-seasoned lamb kabobs. However, the beef shawarma was my fav, and I would definitely order this again. We ordered the beef and a chiken shawarma plats. The portions are quite large.  The beef was a bit on the dry side but the chicken was delicious. The garlic sauce on the chicken is amazing but 99 cents for extra is a bit excessive. They give a ton of hummus but not enough pitas to go with it. The rose water is very tasty and refreshing. The best Lebanese shawarma (and other) food around. Came here with a colleague a couple times and not sure how there wasn't a line coming out the door, it's that good. It's very family run, you can tell they put their heart and soul into preparing your meal. That also means that there's not a standardized process of taking your order, delivering it to your table, etc. Personally, the care they put into their meal and the fact that they're family run well more than enough makes up for any of that. Let me start by saying I am from Detroit (home to the best mid-eastern food in the country) AND my mom (who is a master in the kitchen) is 1/2 Lebanese. This place stands up to the test! The owner Mr. Nick, who grew up in Lebanon, treated me like family! The food is made all by hand daily and is very very authentic. My favorite was the Kibbeh. They don't cheap out on quality expensive ingredients, like pine nuts, and they were cook to PERFECTION! I asked if they had raw kibbeh (kibbeh nayeh) and he told me he makes it himself with a couple days notice! I can't wait to go back. The only thing I wish was that this was a bigger restaurant with full wait staff because that would be fun for a fine dining experience. Sheesh totally satisfied my craving for Lebanese food, so much so that I ate all the leftovers that night lol!  This is true Lebanese food, non of that food marketed as "Greek", "mideastern" or "Mediterranean cuisine"....which are similar to Lebanese food but not the same. We had an excellent meal and prices were reasonable for how much you get.We got two shawarma plates, one chicken and the other beef.  My wife asked for different sides and they were very easy going about it.  Each came with tabouli and babaganoush, but you could choose salad and hummus.   They also said if we wanted more pita to just come back up and ask for some.The server took his time going over each the menu options.  The cashier that finished making the plate was also helpful.  Quick Update: last visit service was so so.  It wasn't busy when we arrived, but we didn't get the level of service on our first visit.  Cashier barely looked up at us and then the person took our order by putting sticky notes on our plate (which was still there upon serving - not appetizing).They serve wine and beer, with Happy Hour pricing, but we just went for a quick dinner. I've been here  3 times and it's been very good. The only time it wasn't as good was because there was an abundant amount of garlic but that only happened once. After that happened, I wasn't sure I would go back but my husband wanted to go so we went and it was amazing. Not too much garlic , tasty , and the customer service is very very good. The guy in the front with the hat is always very kind and helpful. We've had the chicken plate , veggie platter, cucumber yogurt , lamb plate , lentil soup, falafel , fries , Beef Kafta burger , and baklava. It's all been excellent -the baklava tastes like homemade and I know what homemade taste like. The rice is super good as is the cucumber yogurt the lamb is tender , the chicken is tasty. What a lovely restaurant. I'm glad I found this place. We live 25/30 minutes away, but the commute is well worth it. The food is delicious, I've never had such flavourful rice before, the salad is incredible (love the dressing), and the lamb was cooked to perfection, just as I like it. My husband and I came here with our 2 year old son, we all loved it. It's safe to say my son has never finished a meal so quickly and effortlessly before.
