I stopped in yesterday "Black Friday" for a quick touch up on a pair of earrings I bought my BF from Sharif a few years back and to have my ring cleaned. No big purchase, but I was treated so well by Remy and the rest of the staff.  Remy took time to show us the sales case while we waited for my jewelry, showing us each piece of interest individually. I wanted to leave a note about her service and say I'll be coming back to see her as we remove the stone from my current ring and add it to a new updated setting. Let me start out by saying I have found the jewelers for me for everything! I am new to Sacramento and needed my diamond solitaire repaired.  My jeweler is in Southern California and I do not want to go or send it to them. I read the reviews for Sharif and was impressed by the number of 5 star reviews.  Not only did they repair my ring, they did one better. Update: I went back and upgraded my wedding ring....my husband and I worked with Manny who was the best....very knowledgeable, knew exactly what I wanted, and was patient and not your pushy sales guy. He let me take my time. Never made me feel rushed. Let me ask as many questions. Let me come back as many times as I wanted to over a course of a week. Amazing one on one customer service from Zainab and Eric. The other staff were also very friendly and attentive. I truly felt like family the moment I walked in the door. I met AlMahmoud about 5 years ago when I worked at the Arabic/American Center on Fulton Ave. He would come and every Thursday so we could chat. He even brought me lunch. I decided this year to buy myself a very nice necklace for my birthday and so I decided to go to Sharif Jewelry to buy it. When I walked it AlMahmoud was coming out from the back and we both said "Where have you been?" We laughed. When he learned what I was planning to do for my birthday he decided to see to my necklace personally. He also handed me over to his sales woman name Zainab who turned out to be just as amazing as Al Mahmoud is Because she knew my birthday was going to be on Saturday, Bob. 16th she put a rush on my order so I could actually wear on my birthday. It is not too often that you met humble and amazing people like AlMahmoud  and Zainab. I've been shopping with Sharif since 2001, when I inherited jewelry from my mother and when my husband proposed to me, with an emerald that he had picked up in Thailand.  They evaluated what I inherited and designed a lovely engagement ring with the emerald and some diamonds from my inheritance.  I have been going back ever since and consider them "my jewelers".  The owner, Mr. Sharif, is wonderful in his helpfulness and kindness. The same can be said about his sons and family who work there.  Non-family members are equally great. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring here. Since then I have stopped by multiple times for cleanings, appraisals, and resizing. When he purchased the ring, he showed them a picture of what I wanted. They helped him choose a setting and center stone that matched my vision. The ring is absolutely beautiful. They are transparent and up front about costs. They offer an interest free payment plan through Wells Fargo which can be a great option for people! The ring was slightly too big so I went to get it sized. They were very helpful and polite. It ended up being sized too small so they enlarged it a little until it was just right. This was all free of charge. When I went to get it appraised, I didn't realize they had to keep it! It felt too soon to part with (although I know I was being ridiculous) and I had a wedding that weekend. They gave me a two week estimate. The following day I panicked and called them. They were so kind and understanding and expedited the process so my ring was ready for my friend's wedding.I highly recommend this friendly, family-owned business. More...

I cannot tell you who incredibly pleased I am with this jewelry store and Julie who is their secret weapon! I did not expect to be taken care of in this way when I went in with my ring that they had repaired three months ago and now was missing its stone. I was heartsick and annoyed but realized it would probably be a stretch to expect them to either replace my beautiful stone in a ring I loved and had for exactly 10 years or make good in some other way. I had seriously damaged my ring this summer, entirely my fault and incredibly dumb actually. I went in to them and for 350.00 they rebuilt, repaired and made new this beautiful ring. I looked down a few weeks ago and the stone was missing. I searched but the chances of finding was slim to none and so far no luck. As I stated, I went in not thinking I would be cared for in quite this fashion as they not only said they would make good on the repair and replace the stone, they gave me 2 color options, set the stone in and told me I should probably pop in a few times a year or so just to have it checked and cleaned as its more of a clamp setting and not a prong style. I was treated correctly and well but Im not sure how many others would have responded this way. I know having been in retail management, owned my own business and now a local crafter who sells at shows that this is how I have always treated my customers but thought it was "old school" and out of fashion these days...not at Sharifs! Is there an option for more stars than 5!? I cannot even begin to express our gratitude to Sharif Jewelers for the amazing service and beautiful custom jewelry they did for us. They really do treat everybody like they are family. My husband had my wedding band custom made by Sharif in Folsom. They also made a custom necklace for my husband. Thomas and the wonderful crew there made both of us feel so special! You can rest assured they will do exceptional work, and you will not be disappointed. After we got the custom pendant for my husband's necklace, I took it to Sharif on Howe Ave., and Yosef worked with me on my vision of writing a little love letter on the back of it. Yosef spent sooo much time communicating with me back and forth about how he was going to  laser etch the "letter". He looked up proper letter writing layouts, fonts, etc. My simple explanation of the time he invested is not sufficient. He went so far above and beyond, there is no way I can begin to explain. The end result was amazing and beautiful. We have something nobody else will have, thanks to Sharif. As for my wedding band, it is by far the BEST wedding band on this earth! I'm sure of it!  They were able to do an exact match of my engagement band that was made by another jeweler. They matched it perfectly. They drew a sketch, and that is another gift that I will frame. Thomas did so many things to make sure our experience with Sharif was perfect. We feel forever indebted to them. I promise you will feel like royalty when you shop there! I took my ring to get the setting lowered and bound together they were kind and timely with my first rings. Second tome I took my son in to get another ring bound and they gave him a little toy hit wheel for free and got my ring back to be same  day.  I highly recommend this place my rings look fantastic.They clean them beautifully too.
