We enthusiastically recommend Shannon for any of your photography needs. We had a small wedding in Hampton Park last month and her work was amazing. Shannon met with us well in advance to discuss our goals and to better understand our guests and family dynamics. During the shoot, we found her to be so easy-going and organized that we barely noticed she was there during the ceremony. Judging by the photos, it is clear her talents range from helping choose beautiful settings, composing beautiful pictures that make everyone look their best, and working magic in her digital dark room to create the overall aesthetic we wanted to achieve to properly memorialize our special day. My 18-month nephew was struggling in the July heat, but Shannon had so many tricks up her sleeve to get him to smile for the camera, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the great shots she got even in less-than-ideal circumstances. My husband was also struggling with the heat, and she made him look pretty handsome, too! ;) In a world where it feels like virtually every major purchase or service requires compromise and some level of dissatisfaction, we really got exactly what we wanted, and we know these photos will be cherished for a lifetime and beyond. Shannon is a wonderful photographer. She has a great eye and can find the perfect shot in any space. She was open to all of my ideas and also made me feel comfortable when I was very nervous (and hate having my photo taken). Shannon was WONDERFUL!!! She was so sweet and such a joy to work with. She was very responsive to emails, very organized and totally willing to help us customize a package to fit our needs.
She was affordable and my pictures turned out wonderful. She did my ceremony, reception, and bridal portraits. I did the extra photographer and it was her and her husband shooting and they did not miss a beat of my entire wedding!!!! She got our pictures back to us SO quickly and I've had SO many compliment on how great my photographer was.
I'd highly recommend her - she was so easy and wonderful to work with.

Shannon Michele Photography did an amazing job capturing our wedding day at Middleton Plantation on 5/15/11. I couldn't be happier with her work and how easy she was to work with. Shannon has a great talent to use natural lighting and to capture every important moment. She is very organized, flexible, and I received my pictures within 6 weeks of the wedding. I just wanted to take the time to say that hiring Shannon as our wedding day photographer was THE BEST decision we made for that day. We didn't love the way our video turned out (not by Shannon, of course), but luckily we had hundreds of beautiful images that captured the vibe of our party and the relationship of my husband and I better than the video! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shannon! She is great with lighting, so her outdoor shots are AMAZING, but she also captured everything inside the tiny and antiquated St. Mary's Church AND the Aquarium, which is very hard to shoot. She did a great job of directing everyone in pictures without being too bossy, and just always knew what would make a picture just perfect. We have received COUNTLESS compliments on our wedding pictures, and she truly made me look more beautiful than I was. :) More...
