The food and service at Sego is exceptional! Yes, it's pricey, but if you're looking for a nice night out, this is the place to go in Kanab. I don't know if they have a happy hour, but that would be a great thing since cocktails are also expensive. You do have to pay a bit more for great (and professional) service in this town. The restaurant is located inside the Canyon hotel. The foods on the menu are a little bit pricy but definitely yummy. However, the breakfast (included in the hotel reservation) was well below my expectation.

这家店的装修布置非常温馨，我们大概七点钟左右到，饭店里已经坐满了人。我们通过open table订了位置，但是到了现场却发现只有室外的位置，这个天实在太冷，所以我们还在前台这边等了一会儿才被安排到了座位，感受有点不太好。两人的座位是那种小圆桌，两个人坐的非常近，可以近距离分享美食和说悄悄话的那种，非常法式。我们点了牛排，扇贝和两杯饮料，服务员和我们说了会烧好就端上来，这也比较符合我们的需求，实际上上菜还是比较快的。他们的啤酒还蛮清爽的，柠檬汁放了西瓜汁，还蛮特别的，不过味道有点奇怪，就当尝鲜了。扇贝是先上的菜，有两个大扇贝，肉质非常柔嫩，边上配了很多蘑菇，配合酱汁的话还是非常美味的。如果扇贝上少撒点盐，就完美了。牛排等了一会儿，已经帮忙切好对于我们这种不太喜欢切的人来说非常友好。牛排我们点了5分，实际上非常嫩，火候掌握的很好。边上配了烤茄子和烤土豆，酱汁不是传统型，似乎加了芥末酱。我们加了一个甜品，巧克力舒芙蕾，配上奶油，草莓和椰子片，并浇了焦糖酱，口味非常甜蜜，让人满足。这家店的菜量有点少，价格也小贵，不过味道都很出彩，用料考究，酱汁都有创新，确实一份价钱一分货，看的出主厨在用心经营。

SEGO Never Disappoints. It is consistently Incredible. I can't believe how fortunate we are to have this Special restaurant in Kanab. We split the Ribeye last night and it was the Best Steak I've Ever Eaten. My husband and I cook great steaks at home but we aren't even on the same planet with this. Cooked to perfection this steak was buttery tender, melt in your mouth, big enough to share and the taste is indescribable. THIS is Truly the Ideal that all other steaks are expected to be. Sego is the bomb!  My wife, daughter, and I are spending 4 days in Kanab as it is the most ideal hub for national park visits.  Surprisingly (to me), there are several pretty good places to eat.  From a crowd and popularity standpoint, I'd say traditional western chuckwagon chow is the preferred cuisine.  If you want to give your tastebuds a real treat however, visit Sego.  We shared several small plates and every bite was delicious.  This is big city, imaginative food prepared by serious foodies.  For the record, our meal including tip was about $100 and we all had a sip of alcohol and sorbet for dessert. Wow! I would never have thought that a town in such a rural, off the beaten track location like Kanab in southern Utah would have such a great restaurant. The chef is very creative and the food is delicious. The sauces on the dishes were excellent! The two of us ordered three share plates, which was plenty of food. We particularly enjoyed the Duck Lo Mein (served on Shanghai noodles) and the Arizona Beef Filet (not served like a steak, more like medallions).If you enjoy eating well and want a change of cuisine from the more common rural restaurant fare (BBQ, steakhouse, fried chicken, etc), put dining at Sego on your itinerary. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food, friendly service and timed just right - since you were encouraged to order several shareable plates, it was nice that they brought them out at different times so you had time to savor each dish. Starting with the decor - it was warm and cozy, with beautiful glass accents patterned after Chilouly (sp) glass sculptures. My husband and I ordered falafel salad, mango shrimp, noodles and the beef dish. All were very good, (the noodles were a bit salty for my taste but that's my only complaint) especially the beef, which melted in your mouth. Excellent wine and cocktail list, and we saved enough room for dessert - apple crisp ala mode and chocolate torte, also very tasty. It was a little pricier than a typical meal out but it was our anniversary so we didn't mind. Was a great culinary surprise for such a small town. We had such a great experience at Sego. It is a trendy, warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were super attentive, and the food was wonderful! This gem of a restaurant in Kanab never disappoints.  It's our second year visiting Sego in about 18 months.  The first time we had the AZ beef and it was amazing.   This second time we had their Ribeye special.  It was a 2lb beast of a bone in ribeye.  It was seasoned and cooked to a medium temp perfection.  Best steak in my life.  Afterwards we were in Jean Georges at the Aria in Vegas and paid twice as much for half the ribeye and it was nowhere near as good.   Great on you Sego chef and team.  Looking forward to my next visit. Very nice restaurant, slick decor.  Small plates concept.  We took 5 plates between the 2 of us(Beet salad, falafel, wings, grilled cheese and Sego noodles) and everything was really tasty.  We especially enjoyed the wings, amazing !  The service was excellent, warm but professional and the price was right.  We'll be sure to stop by the next time we're in Kanab.  Highly recommended ! A very different approach to dining. Room was very noisy and loud back ground noises. The bone-in ribeye steak was better than any steak we have had in a long time, including at Las Vegas steakhouses. The salads were great, too.

We were a party of 9, I called Sego Restaurant in Kanab literally 15 minutes we knew we had to eat before we continued driving to our next destination. Our guide suggested the place. They were able to seat us outside. It was beautiful seeing the border of sunflowers against the white picket fence. The food, tapas style, was excellent, the people working there were fabulous. It is like a sophisticated city restaurant but off the road in a place we hadn't heard of before. It maybe a bit more pricey than other local type places but you will enjoy a fabulous meal. We liked the "small plates" approach although it seems with four people, some consideration should be given to try to match the items of a selection with the number of people. This tiny, easily over-looked, niche restaurant is a MUST when you are in the area!  We just happened to be staying at The Canyons Boutique Hotel and asked where a great place to eat would be.  The front desk lady said, "Right Here!", as she gestured toward a seating area with 45 seats.  I was a little shocked, having lived less than 45 minutes from New York City for the last 20 years.  But, having said that, I told my wife and we made plans to eat there!  What an amazing, amuse bouche, gastric delight!  This place is a hidden gem, seated in a lovely hotel that should NOT be overlooked!  They have two awards for finest dining and best food in Southern Utah, and now I know why!  If you are in the area and you don't eat here, then you should have your head examined!
