I needed a last minute cake, I searched via Instagram and found SD cupcakes, I sent her a DM on 7/15 and she replied the same day. I explained what I wanted and that I would need it by 7/18, she was very kind and professional and said she would be able to make it. I loved that they can deliver (for a fee) while I was busy setting up she showed up, I didn't have to drive anywhere to pick it up. I used SD Cupcakes for my daughter's 4th birthday. The cakes and cupcakes were such a hit at her party, so many people asked me where I ordered them from. Not only were the cakes and cupcakes beautiful and delicious, they were priced very reasonably. A couple of things. 1. I'm not a huge sweets kind of girl but I have now attended my 2nd SD Cupcakes event and no joke ate one of EACH cupcake plus cake and they were all delicious! !! 2. The first event was my nephew's first birthday in SF and the second was my cousin-in-law's baby shower (she's having a girl) in MD so two very different themes but so perfectly executed. 3. I found miltali less than a week before my event. She replied quickly and was very nice and professional. I had also heard from another cup cake place and she was cold, and more interested in telling me what she will do and getting a down payment. Miltali was friendly. I ordered 8 dozen and she threw in extra dozen for free. $30/dozen. They looked really nice. We picked them up but they deliver for fee, would have been $10 for my distance. I would like to express how incredibly happy I am with the beautiful custom Minnie Mouse cake and cupcakes SD Cupcakes made for my daughter's 3rd birthday Not only was the cake beautiful (minus my husbands accidental thumbprint on the cake ) but it was delicious! !! Absolutely recommend SD Cupcakes!! They were amazing and the cake blew us away! They were the only ones able to create a Dragon Ball z themed cake for me for my husbands birthday this past weekend (I spoke with FIFTEEN other bakeries) and SD Cupcakes were the ONLY ones who said yes! I was on the fence about choosing SD Cupcakes because of some photos that I had previously seen. I almost thought that they didn't look quite professional, but oh man was I wrong! I was even leaning farther away from them when I got an automated response after filling out an online form for a quote. Seemed too out of touch and impersonal. They did, however, get right back to me the next business day, and Mitali was super friendly and really just changed my mind. She reassured me that she could create something beautiful with the inspiration photos I sent her, and she quoted me the lowest price out of the 4 others I had spoken with. I decided to put my trust in her, and it was the best decision I ever made! I picked up the cake a week later, she had great response time, and helped me set the cake in my car securely. It was prettier than I had expected, and absolutely professional. We decided on strawberry cake, and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. Late review, as my sons bday was in March. But I just wanted to say thank you! She did an amazing job basically giving me exactly what I asked for as far as style and design goes. I asked for a 2 tier beach themed cake, and that's exactly what I got. She was also able to give me 5 different sugar cookie designs. Everything was beautiful, and delish! I fell in love with these cakes from the first bite as it was not as sweet and strong taste but very delicious and light. My favorites are vanilla and strawberry, have not tried other but should be good .
