I went today for the first time. Everyone was very welcoming. Nice environment. Pop up cocktails were awesome. I had a reflexologist she really put my feet in relax mode. I also had a scalp massage. The body massage schedule was full Better get there early. The steam and sauna are large and have the perfect old school feel. They offered towels robes slide ins and locker key as you entered. Well worth 30.00 per visit. Grab the girls and go on women’s day. The pool was very chilly but awesome size. The place is cozy and dim. Ladies come relaxed. No judgement here. Went for the ladies only time slot on a Sunday and it was lovely~ there was a Pakistani pop up with delicious vitals. Be sure to use the cold water shower in the larger wet sauna, the plunge pool in between saunas to regulate your temp/not overheat. A nice and relaxing health spa, the building is pretty cool and has a lot of history behind it. They do have odd hours, but worth a visit. They have mens and womens only times and a few times during the weekend I believe allow men and women at the same time. This is the best sauna/steam i've ever experienced. I've been in over 100 saunas in my life, have lived in northern Finland and used them daily, from woodstove to small electric harvia heaters, this is the best one i've ever been to. If you're like me and can't understand why every "sauna" in the lower Peninsula has a sign that says "do not pour water on the rocks", then this is the place for you. It gets hot. But the heat is tolerable as the room is large and has great air flow. The fact theres a cold shower in the sauna is incredible. You feel like a million bucks after you leave. Also I love how diverse the place is, you get such a wide range of folks coming together for a common goal (steam), and it adds to the awesome vintage character of the place. This is one of the last Schvitz’s in the country. This compares with the old sauna in Chicago,New York or Miami. I mean it has great heat in the sauna. I have gone for 30 years.

been going there since I was a kid with the generation before me. best I've found anywhere. couples weekends are fun too, but if you're a sauna enthusiast you can easily spend 3-4 hours relaxing there. good food too, the steaks are aged, and grilled to perfection. just byob and you can get standard mixers served up. I'm not sure if they still do couples parties for special days like NYE or Valentines Day. If so, book early, they tend to fill up fast for those. More...
