I have been in the wedding industry for over 15 years and have met tons of wedding professionals in that time. I am always excited when Laurie and I have an event together. When she's in charge I know that the wedding day will go off without a hitch! Every detail will be attended to, timing will be just right. As a photographer it is so important to have a team of people who understand that timing is key. Laurie is able to keep people on track without being pushy. Laurie and her team helped me plan and coordinate my wedding in October 2015. I cannot express how amazing it was to work with them. Laurie was there every step of the way and booked all my vendors. I had a stress free, fun and amazing wedding. To this day I still have people tell me how much fun they had at my wedding, and that it was one of the best they had been too. Laurie and her colleagues know this business inside and out! She was able to catch my vision and execute it in way that worked with a crowd! She always kept in mind the budget but made everything look amazing! Laurie was there during the planning process and the whole wedding day- anything I needed, she was there! Laurie was a godsend! What would we have done without her? We hired Laurie for her "day of" services and it was the best thing I could have done.
A venue is a venue is a venue... albeit, the Irongate is a beautiful setting for a wedding. However, without Laurie, it would have been a nightmare for me, the mother of the bride! From recommending great vendors like Catering by Scott, to decorations, to the schedule - her expertise was invaluable. She was a fantastic coach, consultant, and confidant. I wish I had words to describe Savvy Events! I was never the girl to envision my perfect day, BUT Savvy Events played a huge role in making my special day the absolute best day of my life. I will never forget the inevitable “inside or outside” decision, keeping in mind I said I was getting married outside whether or not Irma came through the city � Laurie made every choice easy with all of her experience! I described my wedding in very few words and Savvy Events was able to execute perfectly! As much as this review is long over due (Laurie planned and coordinated our wedding in August 2015) I couldn't let another day pass without sharing with everyone what an amazing wedding planner she is.

Simply said, she will change the entire wedding planning process for you with her organized, caring, creative and dedicated approach.

Laurie has every detail organized and takes every bit of care to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the outcome and the experience. She creates memories for everyone involved, and makes you feel as though you're her only client.
We could ask her anything and she always gave us her honest opinion. She is well known in the wedding industry which made it great for our other vendors who were all excited to work with her.

Laurie was the absolute best when it came to planning our wedding! We met her when we toured our venue and immediately trusted her and wanted her to help plan our day! She was so fully of knowledge and helped us make so many decisions! I wasn’t a bit stressed the day of our wedding because I knew we were in good hands. She treats every wedding individually and knows how big of a day it is, never once did I feel like we were “just another wedding” that she was doing. A few examples of how much she helped are: our officiant got confused about the rehearsal so she stepped right in and didn’t let me freak out about it, found the perfect spot for decorations we knew we wanted but wasn’t sure where to put them, treated my family and friends with professionalism and kindness, and even helped my parents plan a pretty awesome surprise!
