I am so happy that I selected the San Diego Taco Company to provide the catering for my daughter's birthday and graduation party at our home.  The entire experience was a positive one for me from working with their catering department, and then from the day of the event with the on-site team.I was impressed; they were professional, on-time, friendly, and the best part is that their food was a hit!  All of my guests raved about how good the food was, and they kept going back for more!  Frankie and Alejandro were super nice.  They made our experience smooth and easy.  I give the San Diego Taco Company two thumbs way up!  I recommend them and will probably use them again in the future! They catered for my graduation party. It was fairly last minute notice and they had all of the goods there on time. The only thing I would change is the method they collect payments. I ordered for service the day after a holiday, and because it was a holiday weekend there was no communication for payment. The day of the event they called and asked for payment and said without payment by noon there would be no service. I was able to pay, and was expecting to pay, but on a busy day of an event that could get lost in the shuffle. The food was delicious, they provide all the utensils, the sides, plenty of sides. it is a little expensive to pay 1.25/taquito when they are 1/2 mini taquitos. We hired SD Taco Company to cater our park wedding on April 13, 2019. The company overall was great. They answered all my questions and changed my guest count multiple times to accommodate our every growing guest list. Thank you so much for making the logistics a breeze.On the day of, the servers were great! Our guests LOVED the food and the variety that was offered. Many guests went up multiple times for food and have kept raving about how delicious everything was. The servers arrived on time and set up quickly. The churros and ice cream were a HUGE hit! The servers were absolutely amazing in making sure my husband I ate. They were willing to bring us food to our table since we were bombarded with guests throughout the event. You can trust the positive Yelp reviews!My daughter in law found this company on Yelp and I'm glad she did. We used them for my sons wedding in July 2018.  I noticed some negative reviews but I did not experience any of these. I listened to the advice of the caterer  and hired 2  extra helpers at a very reasonable rate as well as paying for additional time  for our 175 guest. The staff was friendly, efficient and really kept everything running smoothly. We chose this company because they provided appetizers and desserts in addition to their wonderful tacos. We ordered ceviche,empanadas, nacho bar, taco cart with chicken and carne asada, quesadillas, street corn, Handmade tortillas and ice cream with churros. Everything was delicious, I received so many well deserved compliments on the food. We had leftover food at end of evening and they packed it up nice. SD Tacos was easy to work with and the tacos were great. Our guests loved the food and I ate the leftovers for a week and could have had more. We hired them for our wedding after they successfully catered a smaller party last year and we'll probably hire them again the next time we host an event.

Booking was simple and they accepted online payment, still (for some reason) not a standard feature for wedding vendors.

They came prepared with all of their own equipment, even a tent for the unexpected San Diego rain that complicated our outdoor reception, and took the trash with them when they left.

Well I'm a little late in reviewing them but better late than never, right The San Diego Taco Co catered our San Clemente wedding this past October 11th and WOW. They were GREAT! We had about 110 guests I'm guessing and they were perfect.They were one of the top complimented vendors of our wedding by guests and we have some TOUGH critics of authentic Mexican food in this crowd. I saw some reviews mentioning the cooks weren't 'friendly and smiling' which kind of made my laugh because as former service industry people ourselves- it's difficult to constantly smile when bombarded with fast paced work but both my husband and I couldn't disagree with those reviews more. The three guys that worked our wedding were friendly, quick and we received multiple comments about their friendliness. Guess you can't please them all! All in all- BOOK THEM. They were fantastic and while I didn't have a chance to try any of our happy hour appetizers, we were told by many that the ceviche and nacho bar were incredible- they both ran out pretty quickly! My husband and I wanted something different for our wedding and when we came across San Diego Taco Company and saw the words "Nacho Bar" there was no turning back! Who needs cheese cubs and crackers when your guest can have nachos at cocktail hour!? Not to mention the side table guacamole!! And we haven't even gotten into dinner yet! Their catering staff is amazing! We put a deposit down then a week before the wedding we finalized the menu so it was accommodate our guest count, they were so helpful in making the final touches. We went with their wedding package which came with beef and chicken and we added pork (because I love it) the tacos come with all the fixings, rice and beans. Which is plenty of food but once again I pulled the bride card and added the street corn and holy sh*t am I glad I did! It was amazing the meat for the tacos was so flavorful I still get people asking about them! The best part was we ordered to much food and we got to keep the leftovers!! My husband and I went on a taco crawl to find the best tacos for our wedding. We settled on San Diego Taco Company because their tacos were both delicious and affordable. We had steak, chicken, and potato/sofritas tacos for our wedding, and the guests loved them! We paid an extra $50 to have the tortillas made on site, and that was a huge hit. Yes, yes, yes! We just threw another -- much larger -- party and had SD Taco Company take care of business again. They did a super job for a much larger crowd -- 125+ people. Arrived on time, set up was smooth as butter, started serving on time, and the food was GREAT. We did carne asada and pollo asado tacos, fresh handmade tortillas (AMAZING!), the nacho bar, and street corn. The only disappointment was the street corn, which I thought was going to be on the cob. We had SD Taco company cater our wedding in Julian this month. The food was one of the best parts of our wedding. We knew from day one we wanted to have tacos and were happy to find out about SD Taco Company when eating at their restaurant Salud. They were very helpful throughout the booking process and gave recommendations for quantities based on our guest amount. I made several changes to the menu in the months leading up to the date which was never a problem. The guests RAVED about how good the food was, they loved how it was freshly prepared. They catered my work lunch for 220 people, and people raved about the food. The package is very reasonable. With a basic package, tax, service fee, and the add on of a veggie option, it came out to about $20 per person. We had a ton of leftovers too, and they package it up for us. The chicken was surprisingly so good--smokey and juicy. The rice was flavorful and delicious. My only complaint is that they didn't replenish chips and salsa fast enough. We ended up with a ton of chips in the end, which would have been nice if they replenished it during lunch time.The servers were friendly. San Diego Taco Company catered our wedding cocktail hour (food and aqua frescas only) and reception dinner. During the planning process, they were fast to respond and very helpful with helping to determine quantities. Everyone absolutely loved their food, especially the ceviche! All the food and aqua frescas we ordered were delicious. The only con was that people did not know that quesadillas were also available. Booked the San Diego Taco Company for my wedding celebration and I could not have been happier with how it all turned out! The taco cart arrived on time and they were able to work with the space that we had available for them in the outdoor area of a local brewery. They immediately impressed our guests with the level of service they provided. The two staff that prepared and served the food were attentive and friendly. We booked San Diego Taco Company to cater our wedding in late February.  Communication was superb and they were so flexible and easy to work with-- they were able to make last minute changes for our appetizers.
