The food tonight was exceptional. Warm Spanish olives with grilled crispy French bread to start. The radicchio and Belgian endive salad accompanied by a sumptuous garlic herb dressing and pumpkin seeds with fresh orange citrus to contrast was foolishly delicious. The roasted half chicken with feta was perfect and better yet, the grilled pompano with a squeeze of lemon, to die for. Negronis made the perfect accompaniment. My mom, my sister and I came to Louisville as a spontaneous, last-minute trip for the weekend. We ate at RYE and could not have had a more pleasant experience. We sat at the bar, and Kelsey was so helpful with the menu and our drinks. There were some happy bar hoppers who kept coming up to us and engaging us in conversation, and Scott was so sweet in making sure we felt comfortable. The staff here is amazing. They truly care about your experience, and they work so well as a team. It made us really happy to have such compassionate, hard-working people serve us dinner! I had to say this first before I talked about the food because they left such a great impression on us. The food here was amazing. I highly recommend the sea bass. I really appreciate the fact that I could suggest some changes and come up with a great mocktail! It was a modified Prickly Pear drink! I'm so grateful to the bartender for fixing me something without the usual condescending attitude that is sometimes given to non-drinkers. The food was excellent also, I just wished the portion size for the pumpkin agnolotti was a tad bit bigger. Had I not had an appetizer, I would've left hungry. But I when I visit Louisville, I will definitely be stopping in again! More...

Brought a friend in from out of town. She wanted great food in a chill atmosphere. She's a non-drinker and the bartender had no problem crafting her a mocktini to her specifications. The food was good as I remembered except for the chorizo bolagnese, it was tasty but MUCH too spicy. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. The server was kind enough to bring me some milk. I was disappointed with the fact that I couldn't enjoy the flavor of my food due to the intense heat. We did have the cheese tray as an appetizer so I at least had that and some yeast rolls that I munched on. And my friend really enjoyed her meal. Afterward she ordered the cookies for dessert, I couldn't partake because my mouth was still burning and my stomach was upset from the spices. All in all it was a nice visit. I can't even begin to tell you how good the Duck Leg Confit was! This was my first time to Rye and I absolutely was not disappointed. The ambiance and service was impeccable.
