I have always considered this place to be one of those hidden gems. The cafe is small and somewhat hidden but it is by far one of Houston's finest. Excellent food and bakery. Matzo ball soup was lemony and the matzo ball was a bit smushy. But the chicken salad sandwich was made on freshly baked bread and house, and head Citrus mixed into it which gave it a nice tank. The salad had almonds, hearts of palm, spring mix, Barry's, and tomatoes. Very good. Soups are exceptionally good at this place but not if you're trying to watch your diet as they can be quite Rich. GREAT SERVICE!!!This place has great eats!! They have nice size servings, so you could probably share with someone. There is something for everyone on the menu. All fresh and made to order.The turkey burger & Cobb salad are the DELICIOUS!!Also have their "combo fries" (half regular & sweet potato) and dip it in the garlic ranch dressing or bullseye sauce...It will change your life and it is addictive!!!! I come to this wonderful cafe along every single day! All of the sandwiches, which is mainly what I get, are always amazing. The homemade honey wheat bread is so soft and has the perfect balance between white, wheat, and sweet. I got a lemon berry cake from here years ago for my sisters birthday and remember it being very delicious so I decided to stop in here after lunch. We got some cookies to go. The chocolate chip cookies are amazingly delicious. The oatmeal raisin cookie is also super delicious. They have a $10 minimum on credit card purchases which is not a problem because I can always buy more cookies! More...

At first I wasn't sure about the place. So I called and asked if they have cakes ready. When I got there there was no cake displays, because they were keeping the cakes in the controlled temperature fridge. I got the $35 cake, it is a small one but good for 6-8 people. And guess what?
