Jessica was great! Not only is it one thing to have a random last minute hairdresser have to make your dream come true but its another when she gives you actual genuine conversation throughout the appointment and leaves you walking out with a style you didn't even know would work. If I were solely rating Molly for her services, this would be a five star review! She was prompt at greeting me for my appointment and knew exactly what I wanted with my hair. I have major trust issues with having my hair cut because it is long, thick + wavy and some people simply don't know how to handle my hair... Molly was awesome however! She was a natural at holding a conversation throughout the appointment. I left with a fresh cut and my hair smelt amazing for days to follow. I would come back and request Molly! I subtracted a star in response to the phone receptionist, Lauren. When I called in I was promptly scheduled for a 12:45pm same-day appointment. This time was convenient due to my following plans although I had some flexibility since it was my day off. After confirming me for this appointment, Lauren called back to switch my time to 1:15pm. Working in reservations, I understand being overbooked or needing to move something around but her verbiage was all wrong. Lauren came off as very rude in this instance. She proposed an option asking "are you able to come in at 1:15pm?" then went on to say "well the only way we can get you in is if you change your time to 1:15pm." Do not propose an option to your client if there is no option. Simply call back and apologize for the miscommunication then ask if your client is able to come in at 1:15pm due to a delay in Molly's schedule. I would have accepted thankful for the communication, but instead found myself irritated at Lauren's lack of professionalism. She ended the call by hanging up on me without saying thank you. Another customer service tip: wait for your customer to hang up!! Also be sure not to slam down the phone - I heard that clearly. That being said, I look forward to future appointments with Molly's incredible skills but suggest phone etiquette training for receptionists to better represent this great business. More...

I showed up in Becky's chair roughly six months ago. My previous stylist over-processed my fine, thin hair. I put it in a ponytail one day and realized I had very little hair left as it had broken off. Becky suggested that we not lighten for the first couple of visits which was exactly in line with my thoughts, so she did lowlights to tone down the processed hair and blend with my natural color in the interim. My hair was finally at a point where she could introduce highlights. She has foiled my hair twice now and it looks amazing. My color grows out beautifully with no noticeable demarcation line. That is a first. She is equally as talented with cuts. My hair is still incredibly thin while the breakage is growing back in, but my haircut makes it appear thicker. I really like Rumors. My regular stylist is on maternity leave. My new stylist did a great job the first time she cut my hair. But, the second time she was over-zealous with the trim and cut it way too short. It will grow out, and I'll return to her with a warning. I'll give her one more chance. Why is it that so many stylists just can't stop trimming, and trimming, and trimming, and trimming? Why is it that when one wants a 1/2 inch trimmed, they end up trimming way more than that. I love this Salon! Everyone here has been super nice and so inviting. I was looking for a salon where I wouldn’t feel bad about myself when I left or anyone else I sent there. ..not just look good but feel good by being treated nice by my stylist and the other stylist that work there and who are around. I found that here! Brian has done my hair and my sons and it’s top notch service and extremely professional and friendly, along with Ester (I hope I spelled her name correctly). I had an appointment with Paige today, and I will just say that she is a hair goddess. My hair had become dry, brittle and fine due to some medication I'm taking. Update: I came in again for a tone and a cut yesterday (7/27/19) and this time I had an appointment with Janel.  Janel did an amazing job!  I was unhappy with how my previous balayage/tone had faded and the highlighted pieces by my roots were really brassy and yellow.  I explained my concerns with my tone and haircut with Janel and she did a beautiful job.  Prior to scheduling an appointment with her, I checked the reviews and she doesn't have mention reviews that mention her name (there are a few and they're all positive but there aren't many).  I wanted to make sure I gave her a shoutout so everyone knows how great of a job she does. Several months ago, I decided I was unhappy with my hair color so, I did some research and chose Rumor Salon. I could not be happier with my choice. My stylist, Tatiana is very talented, she listens to your ideas and creates perfection. The salon decor is beautiful and full of positive energy! Great location, easy parking. Salon is very big with close to 20 stations, they offer hair, nail, and waxing services. Pricing is on the mid to high end range but constant with other Scottsdale salons. I've been seeing Molly, she helped me achieve a new cut and color/highlights based on my skin tone and how I like to style it. Would definitely recommend her if you are looking to try something new. Paige is a incredible stylist who completely transformed my long thick straight straggly hair that I had not cut or colored(was several different colors) in over a year into the exact look of a picture I showed her in about three hours! !! she really listened to exactly what it is I wanted. Not to mention when I left my hair was one color! A bright beautiful blonde, no brown in between something only a very talented hair stylist could achieve. She offered me free bang trims in between cuts and showed me when styling my hair how to achieve the same look at home. She was very in tune which is so important in a stylist! Left skipping out the door and flicking my hair around taking double looks in the mirror for weeeeeeeekkksss :)! Not to mention she did not overcharge me. I was out of town and had to cut my bangs else where I showed the pictures of what Paige did and explained exactly what i wanted them to look like and my experience was so horrible I left looking like a little dude in kindergarden! I've been going to this salon for the past few years. I have been seeing Tatiana since my original stylist left and she does an amazing job! I was super nervous in trying a new salon. I have been going to this one place for 10 years and recently it closed. I read so many reviews and I chose this place. My stylist was Esther and saw that she had great reviews..... well this is so TRUE! It's been over a week and my hair looks AMAZING! Esther is a miracle worker and listens and takes notes!
