RUMI Interior Design

I have been working with RUMI Interior Design for almost two years now. First, they designed my bedroom with a new furniture layout and new color scheme. Then they researched different stores for exactly what would suit my particular storage needs. I LOVE what they chose. Then, next, due to plumbing leaks that damaged my carpet and furniture, I needed to redo my home office. RUMI worked closely with me, understanding what I wanted to accomplish and executing what the feng shui expert, P.K. Odle, recommended. RUMI chose amazing colors for the paint and the new carpet. RUMI again researched furniture and designed the office layout on special computer programs they use. They are so easy to work with. They are dedicated to their work, have fabulous suggestions, and are reachable all the time to answer questions. I can't wait to do another project with them to tap in to their wonderful ideas. I hired Ruth to give me a home redesign plan to follow at my own pace. She was very thorough, had me fill out a very detailed questionnaire ahead of time, came to my home, and took a lot of time to soak in the home's original character + my tastes. This was all in an effort to make sure she put together a design plan that made sense for my style and the architectural style of the house.

She is also a color expert, so she was able to make very specific recommendations on color schemes and accent pieces. She asked so many questions before and during the exercise to make sure she understood which colors would work for me, and even how to take small risks here and there to bring some life to certain spaces.

I'm very grateful to have worked with her. Now I have a personalized guidebook to help me as I upgrade my house and can be less fearful of making mistakes. More...

Ruth has been a great designer to work with for several reasons. First she has a great eye for color and makes it her job to know the client she is working for, their needs, desires, and budget. These 3 things are important to her so she can make the right decision. She has excellent communication skills, always letting me know status of my project. Her wood refinisher does excellent work. I like the fact that she shows up when something is being delivered or installed making sure that the client is pleased with the end results. I worked with Ruth Banks on getting new furniture for my bedroom. As an extremely busy professional running my own business, I didn't have time to look for a new bedroom set, despite wanting one for a long time. Ruth came, took measurements, extensive notes and photos of the room. I explained what I was looking for, and Ruth guided me away from an extensive design to very reasonable options. She researched the stores to narrow down choices and gave me the advantages and disadvantages of the items. She has this computer program where she can design the layout and show me how the furniture would fit into the room. This was the first time I had ever worked with a designer so I thought that was pretty cool to see the pieces virtually arranged. Ruth was very patient with all of my questions. She made the project go very quickly and smoothly. My walls were already painted the color I wanted so I didn't have the opportunity to use Ruth for color design in my bedroom, which is one of her specialties, but in the future, I may redo my office, and color will be needed at that point. Not only was Ruth fantastic at matching colors to make sure items worked together properly in the room, she also understood how colors have an impact on psychology. How certain colors and types of lights can calm down or even agitate a client to the point where it can impact if they hire the company.
