Had a great time using the studio, the smaller of the two has some interesting features. It's a pretty inexpensive hire for the half day, but like most other studios the price goes up as you hire kit. Luckily I own 99% of my own stuff so no hire needed. Access is decent but parking like in many other parts of Brooklyn, sucks. Aside from that the Rebecca and co run a decent small studio for smaller production which is all I needed. Recommend to anyone who doesn't need a tonne of space. More...

Awesome space with natural day light coming from big sized windows. Staffs are also very kind. It was a beautiful experience

I'm a New York based professional photographer and videographer and was in need of a studio for regular use. The problem that I kept running into was that I needed something larger (at least 900 sq/ft), with daylight and high ceilings but couldn't afford to pay over $400 to rent because it would be cost prohibitive for the work I do. I recently found Ruby Bird and felt like I'd been given a gift. I believe their current rate is only $350 for the half day and the studio is 1000 sq/ft. The space is in a historic building and feels like it has limitless shooting areas (the huge windows at the back end of the studio have amazing light and sport stunning view). I used the studio to do portrait work for a celebrity fitness couple and things couldn't have gone better. I rarely write reviews because I feel people don't read them but I felt compelled to pay it forward for photographers like myself who struggle with rising rent costs but still need a studio where our clients will be impressed and feel comfortable. I also have to note that the studio is run by another photographer, Rebecca, who made me feel warm and welcome and couldn't do enough to make sure I had everything I needed. She rocks. I'm looking forward to all the work I'm going to create in this great space. More...
