Enjoyed a lunch that was quite satisfying today! It started with the fried and bartered cauliflower which had a sauce that had a slight kick to it and was the perfect accompaniment. My friend and I shared the flank steak sandwich  which had cheddar and blue cheese melted on grilled bread. The meat was tender to the bite and each bite was warm, flavorful, and just really melted in your mouth. The savory rosemary and garlic mushrooms were the side, and they were also  very good. A flight of desserts for $10 included a pumpkin ice cream with a salted caramel drizzle, the strawberry cheesecake-like tart, and the chocolate mousse. The ice cream was a seasonal thing and was super delicious. The tart and mousse was very good. I had split the sandwich, side, appetizer, and dessert with my friend, and we both walked away quite full. Music played in the background, but at 1:15p on a Thursday, there were plenty of seats with little conversational noise. More...

I took my wife to Rosemary for her birthday dinner on a Sunday night. Â It is in a location that has been a handful of restaurants in the past, and it's on the small side. What this place lacks I size, makes up for with a pretty impressive menu and culinary talent. Our server was the only one on the floor that night, and she was rocking it, trying to juggle all of her tables, running food, and taking Grubhub orders. Â We really enjoyed our meals, and felt comfortable enough to melt away in conversation. We will try Rosemary again to eat our way through the menu. More...

WOW WOW WOW! Â Y'all this is the place to go in Albuquerque! Â So I'm in town for my Dad's funeral (not fun) but the fam and I stumbled on Rosemary thanks to Yelp! and we could not be more pleased. Â My daughter had the green Chile Mac and cheese, hubs the Naked Relleno Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger with truffle fries, sister the cream of chicken soup and a side of roasted mushrooms with thyme and garlic, and I had the lamb chops with asparagus and the shrooms. Â We split the chocolate mousse (shh! there's avocados in it!) and the cauliflower cake for dessert. Holy jeez. Everything EVERY-THING was stellar. Seasoned well with fresh herbs, the lemon garlic on the lamb is phenomenal, fries crispy and delicious, soup a spicy surprise, and the service was as warm and friendly as it was attentive. Â I went back later in the week by myself and had the slaw - HIGHLY recommend it! Â Spicy, crisp, fresh, and delish! Cauliflower cake is moist and packed full of flavor. If there's cauliflower in there I'd consider being a vegetarian... except for the lamb chops because when they're THIS good I will order them every time I visit and chew on the chops to get every morsel. Â I am so grateful to find such a gem in town and hope they stay open and grow in coming years. Â I have been disappointed more often than not when eating out and Rosemary has restored my faith in the restaurant industry. Â I would travel from home in Austin to Albuquerque just to eat here again. More...

I went with my girlfriends for dinner on a Saturday night. Â This down-to-earth underrated place was PHENOMENAL! The fare was one of upscale restaurants at a 1/3 of the cost. Â Fresh ingredients full of taste. Â I had the deconstructed pesto shrimp w a side of asparagus and another side of the brussel sprouts. Â I polished my plate clean. Â The cauliflower chocolate cake was not too sweet and delicious! Â Most of all, Joy, was the sweetest, attentive and most personable server! Wish we lived in town. We have a Winner!!!! I'm a simple guy, I like burgers. Wife and daughter had a chance to go dine-in so they asked me if I wanted something. ...boy! Was I in for a super delish surprise! - Since I'd never eaten here, i was cautious: if a food joint can't handle a burger, right? Tried the Naked Relleno, perhaps one of the best burgers I've ever tried in my life. The combination of chile flavors, contrast with the on-point grilled patty plus the bacon smoky taste; superb! Juicy and perfectly sized, it's been quite some time I had one of these - including the fact that this was take-out, so it wasn't out of the grill, a bit warm still. Nevertheless, the flavor mix and juiciness took away the award. The fries are ok, but who cares of fries in the presence of greatness. Not me. Highly recommended burger. Won't find another here in the 505 with the quality this one has. PLUS my daughter told me this is a local place, c'mon folks, got to support our own people, right? Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Â Very organic and exquisite menu! More...

First visit. For a city with usual low fine dining standards, it was surprisingly good:We had: very good Rosemary chicken (would have profitied from some more crispiness and a thicker pan jus) and the excellent Mushroom White bean Farro burger. Tastewise both items were convincing.Room for improvement: Servers need to be more attentive. Food temperate needs improvement (sweet potato fries were almost cold). Wait time for food a bit too long (maybe prep veggie sides before service starts). The choices on the menu are inventive and will satisfy anyone. With a bit of improvement this can elevate from a very good to outstanding place. #nofakefood #plantforward - P. Delightful dinner. Six of us tried four different appetizers, 2 salads and 2 entrées.  It's impossible to say which was the best.  For appetizers, we tried the cauliflower, eggplant, crawfish and caramelized onion with fig spread. Each offered a unique flavor blend. The salads were original, light and flavorful.  There is an option to add meat to salads and one of our group added Ahi tuna and found it perfectly seared. We found the atmosphere pleasing and the staff friendly and helpful. It took a little while for the food to be prepared and it was well worth the wait. If you would like fast food, soup would be your best bet! We didn't mind waiting and it reminded me of trips overseas where it is not uncommon to wait while the food is prepared I would certainly go back again. More...

I really appreciate a restaurant with the stones not to have salt and pepper shakers at every table. It (usually) means that the chef is very confident about the food. Such is the case at Rosemary, a small but brave new restaurant recently opened in ABQ.Rosemary bills itself as "an urban casual, plant-forward restaurant," with their online menu offering the slogan "clean fresh vibrant." Both are a pretty succinct summary of its offerings. However, while Rosemary does have plenty of vegetarian-friendly dishes, there are enough animal offerings to lure in local carnivores as well.On my first visit, I tried three of their appetizers: cajun popcorn crawfish, crispy Spanish cauliflower, and the eggplant adovada. Without a doubt, they were some of the best appetizers I've ever eaten in ABQ, and perhaps anywhere. The crawfish had the punch-you-in-the-mouth flavor that anything labeled cajun should have, but often doesn't. The eggplant adovada was served as a dip, with jicama chips serving as the dipping vessel (when's the last time anyone had jicama chips in NM?) and had a depth of smoky acidity I normally don't associate with vegetarian dishes. The star was definitely the cauliflower though. It was so incredibly crispy and full of salty deliciousness that I was convinced I was eating cauliflower-shaped potato chips. The romesco sauce it came with was also delicious and well-balanced, but the cauliflower itself was so good that it could've been served with fast-food ketchup and it still would have been amazing. The entrees I tried included a grilled chicken sandwich and a balsamic lamb shank. Both were well-cooked and executed, and definitely demonstrated the chef's ability to prepare food. The chicken and the lamb were both juicy, tender, and cooked just right. Unfortunately, both offerings also seemed just a bit on the bland side to me. If a little more salt had been added, both dishes would've been a home run.Dessert was a cinnamon pinon ice cream, and it was about as good as its name sounds. ABQ introduced me to pinon nuts, and I have to wonder why I've never had it in an ice cream around here before - it's a great texture/flavor match! It seems like their dessert menu rotates, so I'm curious to see what they'll come up with in the future. The service was as stellar as the food. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and funny, and answered all my questions patiently. She was also willing to give suggestions and opinions, which I always appreciate, given that I hear that some servers would (understandably) rather not field questions like "which item is the best." She also managed to maintain her friendly demeanor despite one of my friends I brought over being a little difficult that night. The dining room was clean, modern and well-lit. However, the space is small, so larger groups might find some difficulty with seating. The prices are also, in my opinion, quite inexpensive for the type of food they offer. Is casual-upscale a thing? If not, Rosemary is making it a thing. If anyone in ABQ is looking for something a little different, give this place a try. More...

There are lots of good options for vegetarians as well as meat eaters and they're quite flavorful. If you're in a hurry, don't expect to get your food fast, but we were able to get in and out with full service and appetizers in under an hour.
