Forgive the chicken sandwich picture! I had already smashed down and bitten into it when I remembered the picture!Very good food. I got the Sweet Heat Chicken sandwich (sweet heat on the side cause I am a baby when it comes to spice) with fries and the comeback sauce. So good! The chicken is cooked perfectly, breaded well, and the bread is a isn’t mushy and/or doesn’t fall apart!The staff are always so nice and welcoming (and they are all mostly young kids)! I do knock them a bit because the wait from payment to receiving my food at the table was pretty long but worth the wait!I had their Mac and cheese last year as a side and if it’s the same, it is very good, too!They also have select beer and pints of ice cream as well as fountain drinks! This place was so goods I had their crispy chicken sandwich and let me tell you it hit the spot. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the bun perfectly soft but toasted, the pickles nice and crunchy. Not the fried chicken you grew up on (unless that was fine high quality bird) or anything resembling KFC. You pay for it but it is good chicken with a variety of spice, flavor, and sauce options - fair service and price (not outrageous but high) keep this from 5 stars. I’d definitely go again.

Since the closest Chick-fil-A is hours away and I wanted a spicy chicken sandwich I decided to give Roost a try. The chicken was great but the mac and cheese was a bit disappointing. Also, parking was confusing and limited which made it hard to get to. In my opinion the prices were rather high compared to Chick-fil-A and the portions weren’t as large as I was expecting. This place has great food. Really friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Not a ton of seating in the winter or super comfortable chairs, but the food is worth it. The sides are really homestyle and very good. In the warmer months it's nice and refreshing to eat out in the fresh air courtyard. I’ve been here several times in the last year, and only once was the food not phenomenal! Even on that occasion the employees brought me out fresh food since mine tasted burnt and a little off! They have the best chicken and waffles- I’ve never even wanted to try that before but once I saw their special butter I had to try it & nothing short of amazing!! Roost is the kind of place that you know is good by how quickly the line builds! They have online ordering and I FULLY recommend it. My only complaint, but does not warrant losing a star, is that parking can be difficult at this location. They don't have a dedicated lot, and requires a lot of odd street parking, etc. And it isn't close to the parking garage so you can't use that. But the food is legit! Delicious fried chicken! However, everything else left a little more to be desired - the sides and the service were okay, and the soda machine was broken. On the wall they have "order online and save time", however, you cannot order online. The place is usually packed which means a 30 or 40 min wait for food. Overall, it's good fried chicken.
