We couldn't have done it without Melanie! Rocky Mountain Wed, via Melanie's experience and leadership, helped us plan for the best day ever with 200+ people, multiple vendors and locations. Melanie was great with communicating on a regular basis throughout the process and providing helpful guidance that made the planning fun and stress-free. Where to even begin? I can say without a doubt that I am slightly OCD and because of this having a destination wedding was quite scary to me however I knew that I would not be able to accomplish this, all the way from Texas, without a wedding planner who knew the immediate area and resources available. Melanie was that and so much more. She was always available and made sure that we had everything covered and as wished. She made my winter wonderland dream come true. Choosing Melanie as my Day of Coordinator was one of the best decisions I made in planning our wedding! She listened to me and understood the type of wedding that I envisioned and she made it come together. She thought about all the little details that had never even crossed my mind. She gave me advice on other vendors as well without overstepping. Just helpful tips. The weather right before our outdoor ceremony was dicey. Snow...rain...wind. But, Melanie had a plan for it all and kept me calm. There were just a few tiny hiccups that were not her fault, but she worked with the venue staff to remedy them in a matter of moments. She not only took good care of me during the reception, but all my guests as well. She was a wonderful hostess yet blended into the background at the same time. She would check in with me and keep me aware of what was happening next on the timeline...(intro..toasts..dancing) A bride gets caught up in the moment and can't remember such things. She kept us on track, but always allowed me the option to change the plan....reminding me that it was MY wedding. So sweet. Again, I'm very pleased that we chose her as our coordinator. Melanie at Rocky Mountain Weddings was a delight to work with! She is very organized and made our wedding day extra special. We had an outdoor wedding, that ended up occurring during a heavy (unexpected) snow storm. Melanie brought calm to the chaos, organizing guests and vendors, and minimizing the stress and decisions that I otherwise would have needed to manage. We hired Melanie as our Day of Coordinator (along with flowers - WoodStem Floral & Decor) and could not have been happier with how our wedding flow and setup went. We got married near Winter Park, Colorado and Melanie was extremely helpful, not just the day of the wedding, but months and months out. She gave me a timeline of things I needed to check off, and she also helped me visualize every detail of the wedding from power outlets to what time champagne should be poured for toasts. Her insight and experience was so needed - she thinks of things like taking decorations from the ceremony after it was finished and putting them on the dessert table so that you can reuse items and make every detail beautiful. The day of the wedding, any problem that arose she handled without my knowledge so I could enjoy the day stress-free. We had a timeline down to the minute planned out together and of course things are never perfect but luckily Melanie was there to constantly communicate to my groom and I - "hey, do you want to push this back 10 minutes?" which made us feel like we had control of our event yet she handled the actual timeline herself. While it may have been stressful for her (without my knowledge) it was great using her for both DOC and flowers because it is one less vendor you have to coordinate with! Thank you Melanie!! More...

Melanie provided both our floral service and was our daughter’s day of coordinator for her outdoor wedding in Winter Park, CO. With the bride and groom living in Alaska it was very important for us to have someone to pull everything together so that our family could truly enjoy this very special day! We hired Melanie as our florist for our outdoor mountain wedding in Granby. She did a beautiful job with the flowers (I wrote a separate review for WoodStem Floral). After meeting with Melanie and mentioning to her that we did not have a day-of coordinator (but were beginning to regret it), she offered her services beyond just the floral setup. She understood our budget limitations, listened to what we really needed help with, and made it happen at a super reasonable rate. I value this flexibility in services/pricing, as I had been frustrated with the ‘all-or-nothing’ approach of other wedding coordinators. Melanie was immensely helpful in setting up all of our decorations, coordinating with our vendors, and making sure everything ran smoothly.
