Revive Dance Xchange

My husband and I went to Revive Dance Xchange in search of someone who could choreograph and teach us a first dance routine for our wedding last month. Neither me nor my husband had ever previously danced but despite our being nervous we had SO MUCH FUN during our lessons. Candy was helpful, funny, and made us feel at ease during our time with her. Our routine was perfect for our skill level and our guests loved our performance. I know a few people who have children in classes at Revive and they are big fans Miss Candy and her staff as well. A very small group of people have had bad experiences lately and have created *many* fake accounts to try to harm Candy and her reputation, so please read these reviews carefully.

Here is my experience:
All the staff are incredibly kind and will do absolutely anything to meet your needs, but you have to tell them that you’re having a problem in order for them to fix it!

This is a small business, and a very family-centered studio, so there are days when a teacher is out, or the owner is needed at the front desk, so the original teacher is not the one in the room, but there is *always* a well-trained teacher in charge of the class and caring for the students.

Candy’s scholarship program is absolutely a real thing, and if people are having financial troubles she will do as much as she can within reason to make sure that they can continue dancing.

All the teachers are absolutely wonderful, and treat their students like family. They take the time to watch and correct each individual student to make sure that they thrive to their maximum potential. More...

I have danced with Candy for 15 years. She is the most well educated, caring, and professional business owner/ dance coach I've ever met. She has an extensive dance and education background. My daughter has been dancing here since she was 2 years old. She's almost 6 now. We love RDX! They are like family. Only family that really knows their stuff. I'm impressed with the quality of the teaching and the fact that they have it set up so you can be totally fun recreational OR choose to do competitions.

Everyone is really supportive and kind (which is a gem for the dance world). And it has just been amazing to watch my daughter blossom and grow through dance. They even have been so good about her allergies and keeping her safe. That has meant so much to me. It's so important to let her be involved out in the world. But it can be so scary for me sometimes. I'm grateful for the support they offer at RDX.

They also offer adult dance classes, too. That can be hard to find. I came to the studio for my daughter and ended up taking and teaching classes there, too. They helped be get out of my "mom slump" and get back to feeling like my own person again. It's so great to have a place for the whole family to participate.

My husband even does the Daddy Daughter classes in the spring and performs with the other dads and daughters in the Spring Show! Ha ha. :-D I cry every year when they dance together on stage. It's always a sappy dad song and I just lose it every time. So sweet! More...
